Chapter 38: Wedding Photo (2)
Chapter 38: Wedding Photo (2)
“Well, this outfit really matches you quite a lot, guest.”
As Yake changed into the 11th suit, the store manager gave a nod of approval.
“Then let’s wear this for the shoot.”
Yake, finally relieved after trying on various suits, decided to stick with this one for the wedding photo.
“Guest, how about trying a few more? You might find an even better fit.”
“No, no, just this one is enough.”
Seeing the store manager still wanting to pull him into more suit changes, Yake quickly shook his head. He had suffered enough and didn’t want to endure more fuss.
“Come on, think it over! This is for your wedding photo. If you don’t capture your best side, you’ll regret it immensely.”
The manager was not giving up, trying to persuade Yake to reconsider.
“Manager, I’ve already sorted the bride out. How’s the groom looking? Oh, that’s quite handsome! Looks like you’re all set! I’ll go get the bride now.”
Habetele walked out from another fitting room, glancing at Yake in his suit. It seemed the groom was indeed ready, and now all that was left was to take the wedding photos of the two.
“Wait a second…”
“Let it go, manager, this is it. I think I look pretty good already; let’s just take the wedding photo in this suit.”
Yake stopped the manager. He was set on wearing this outfit for the photo shoot.
“Fine, alright. Since you insist, I’ll respect your choice.”
Seeing Yake’s determination, the manager could only sigh and abandon his plan.
“Alright, here’s the bride! Ta-da! How do I look? Cute, right?”
Habetele brought Aierjisi, now dressed in her wedding gown, right in front of Yake.
“…”
Yake stared at Aierjisi in her wedding dress, speechless.
“What do you think, Yake? How do I look in the wedding dress? Am I cute?”
Noticing Yake’s silence, Aierjisi eagerly asked for his opinion.
“Very cute, it suits you perfectly! I’m so glad we’re taking the wedding photo together!”
Yake gave Aierjisi a thumbs up. The little princess looked absolutely adorable in her gown, stirring feelings in him he wasn’t quite sure were love.
“Really? Well, of course! Everything I wear is cute. Your taste isn’t too shabby either; that suit pairs quite well with you. Very dashing!”
After hearing Yake’s compliment, Aierjisi beamed with happiness and sneaked in a compliment for his suit.
“Indeed. Manager, can we start taking the wedding photos now?”
Yake turned to the manager.
“Of course, please follow me. Habetele, grab the equipment.”
“Got it!”
Yake and Aierjisi followed the manager into a sealed room. The manager moved towards a crystal, seeming to adjust something.
“Do you two have any preferences for the background? Something like this?”
The manager twisted the crystal, turning the interior into a church setting.
“Wow! What’s this? Amazing! Is it teleportation magic? We instantly arrive at an outside location.”
Aierjisi, lacking common knowledge about human civilization, was taken aback by the technology.
“No, it’s just a simple projection. By projecting, we can change the indoor environment to a preset one, like this.”
The manager twisted the crystal again, changing the background from the church to a beach.
“Impressive! The current technology is unbelievable.”
Aierjisi gazed at the vast ocean, realizing that during her 300 years of slumber, human civilization had advanced far beyond her imagination.
“Aier, what kind of environment do you prefer?”
Yake liked the church setting but was curious about what the little princess liked.
“Me? Hmm… Manager, do you have something palace-themed?”
“A palace, huh? Let me see. Ah, here’s one! How about this?”
The manager twisted the crystal, transforming the scene into a royal palace.
“Well… let’s go with this one. What do you think, Yake?”
Aierjisi assessed the simulated environment; it was different from her expectations but still met about 80% of her wishes.
“If you like it, then let’s use this for the shoot. Manager, can we begin?”
Yake prioritized the little princess’s opinion. As long as she was happy, that was what mattered. If he worked hard enough and actually won her heart, he could become a royal member of the Blood Clan. That was a win in his book.
“Alright, we can start. Please strike a close pose.”
The manager, holding his camera, looked at the two, hoping they would create a sweet couple’s pose.
“Yake, I’m leaving this to you.”
This was Aierjisi’s blind spot, so she left it up to Yake to decide their pose.
“Okay, I’ve got this.”
Yake, having been schooled on wedding photo poses by Reina, was more than ready for this.
“Heave-ho!”
One arm wrapped around Aierjisi’s back, while the other held her knee. He scooped the little princess into a princess carry, bringing her against his chest.
“Oh! Nice pose! Really nice! Bride, your expression is a bit stiff; smile a little more naturally. Smile, smile!”
The manager was ready to snap the moment, but Aierjisi’s stiff expression held him back.
“Like this…?”
Aierjisi tried to calm her heart. She was quite startled when Yake lifted her, resulting in her frozen expression. Once she regained her composure, she flashed a genuine smile.
“Great, great! That’s the smile! Please hold that and don’t move; I’m about to take the shot!”
Seeing the bride’s expression had become natural, the manager instructed them to stay still and clicked the shutter, capturing their happiest moment.
“Alright, here are the wedding photos! Please keep them safe.”
After the photo shoot, Aierjisi and Yake changed back into their original clothes. The manager handed them the freshly shot wedding photos, one for each—the groom and the bride.
“Thank you so much! When we actually get married, we will definitely come back for another wedding photo shoot.”
“Haha, I’ll be looking forward to that!”
