Chapter 285
The car stopped in front of the academy’s main gate.
I got out of the car and stretched. Despite the comfortable ride, my body was sore from sitting in one place for too long.
“Hmm, now that we’re at the academy, I should take Alice to see Headmistress Lina first—”
I was in the middle of organizing my thoughts when suddenly, a black shadow flew towards the gate at an alarming speed. I stiffened, ready to draw my sword, but then—
“Huh?”
I had to stop. The black shadow was none other than Ichika, with her blue hair and small frame.
Ichika pounced on me like a flying squirrel, clinging to me. She buried her face in my chest and rubbed her head against me.
Sniff.
Sniff—
“Jin Yuha, really, Jin Yuha… the scent of my savior…”
She nibbled lightly on my neck and shoulder as if complaining about my late arrival.
“I, I, my body feels strange…”
I was taken aback by Ichika’s sudden physical assault, but only for a moment.
Oh.
I opened my mouth in realization. I had forgotten that Ichika had suffered aftereffects from the demon’s attack. She needed to engage in regular skinship with a man of a different gender to alleviate her symptoms.
To manage this, Ichika usually requested light skinship once or twice a day, like having her head patted or holding hands. This was the first time they had been apart for so long.
No matter how busy I had been, I scolded myself for neglecting this aspect. Ichika didn’t have anyone else to rely on, and she had come to a foreign country alone to join my party.
Despite her even-tempered speech and unchanging expression, I had assumed she was fine.
Huff, huff—
Ichika’s warm breath tickled my neck. Her body felt like a furnace.
I gently stroked Ichika’s back, which was rising and falling rapidly.
Finally, she began to calm down.
“Jin Yuha.”
Ah, that was a voice I hadn’t heard in a while. It was Shin Se-hee.
Standing behind her were Lim Ga-eul and Sophia, their expressions slightly stiff.
‘Is it because of Ichika’s behavior?’
It’s not her fault. I hesitated, wondering if I should explain Ichika’s situation to them. I had explained it to Sophia before, but since then, light skinship had been enough to manage her symptoms, so I hadn’t mentioned it to the other party members.
“Who is that person?” Se-hee asked, her gaze not on Ichika but on Alice, who stood behind me with a frozen expression.
She was probably surprised to see me bring a stranger with me from the Sword Emperor’s Forest.
I could explain that.
“Alice is—”
Se-hee interrupted me with a sigh, closing her eyes briefly before reopening them. “I’ll hear about that person from the others. You take care of Ichika for now. She’s in a dangerous state. I’ll handle this.”
“Ah, okay.”
A chill ran through me as Se-hee glared at me.
“But afterward, you have to spend time with all of us equally. We’re all making this concession. Understand?”
“Yes, I understand.”
I couldn’t help but nod like a robot in response to Se-hee’s icy tone.
‘Is Se-hee an ice attribute or something?’
.
.
.
Ichika, clinging to Jin Yuha, felt like she was losing her mind.
She knew she shouldn’t act like this; she would only end up being hated.
A tiny thread of reason in her head continued to warn her, but
her body craved only Jin Yuha.
At first, she had thought a month was a long time, but she hadn’t expected it to be so difficult.
The first two weeks had been manageable.
Reina, with her sharp tongue but caring nature, was nice, and she had felt a sense of accomplishment as her skills improved under Reina’s guidance.
Suddenly, she became aware of Jin Yuha’s absence, but she was able to alleviate it somewhat by looking at the photos and videos Sophia had given her.
However, in the third week, an unbearable urge and thirst began to surface.
Her concentration during Reina’s lessons waned, and she found herself staring into space more often, searching for Jin Yuha. At night, she would unconsciously enter his room, bury her face in his bed, and rub her body against his scent. She suffered from insomnia and often stayed up all night.
Her heart raced at random times, and she couldn’t shake the feeling of emptiness.
With her condition so obvious, it was impossible for Shin Se-hee and the other party members not to notice.
Reina looked at her quietly and then let out a bitter laugh.
-Hmm, this… It’s the remnants of the incubus. You were really hit hard. How have you been able to endure it all this time? Hmm? Did you convert it into affection? You’re completely hooked on that guy, huh?
Fortunately, Reina knew how to deal with it.
-Well, I’ve temporarily suppressed your urges, but it’s only temporary. It will probably be released as soon as you meet him.
Reina placed her hand on her head and cast a spell to temporarily suppress her urges until Jin Yuha arrived. With that, Ichika was able to somehow get through Reina’s lesson in a dazed state.
But at the academy’s front gate,
As soon as she saw the familiar vehicle she had seen before,
Ichika ran towards him without a second thought.
‘Savior, savior, savior…’
Thud.
Regardless of who was watching, Ichika blindly threw herself into Jin Yuha’s arms. She couldn’t help it.
The scent she had longed for, the warm embrace, the solid and broad chest.
Her breath quickened, and even as she clung to him, pressing her body against his, it didn’t feel like enough. She bit his neck and shoulders with her teeth.
She really didn’t want to act like this.
She didn’t want to show him this pathetic side of herself.
Her head felt like it was spinning.
She knew that the way she was acting now was embarrassing and unseemly. A woman throwing herself at a man like this would only make him uncomfortable. Her self-loathing was intense, and she trembled as her instincts took over her rational thoughts.
Suddenly,
Shush, shush—
The savior stroked her back.
A lazy voice reached her ears.
“Ichika. Did you miss me?”
As if she had taken a drug, her racing heart calmed down instantly.
Nod, nod.
“I’m sorry.”
At Jin Yuha’s sudden apology, Ichika’s pupils quivered.
Why was he apologizing?
It was her who should be apologizing. It was her desire that she couldn’t control, causing her to act like this.
“Ichika, I haven’t been paying enough attention to you lately. And you came all the way from another country, trusting only me. You must have felt neglected.”
Shake, shake.
Ichika shook her head. She had never had any complaints about Jin Yuha.
After all, he was a person who accepted her unreasonable demands for physical contact without any sign of discomfort.
If she had any complaints, they were about herself.
In the past and even now, she preferred being alone because she wasn’t good at expressing herself. She had stayed in the Forest alone because she found it easier to talk to ghosts than to people.
But then, she had been cursed by an incubus.
When she was about to be killed by him,
She was saved by her savior.
And now, she couldn’t stand on her own.
So, in a clumsy and one-sided way, she demanded physical contact from him, reasoning that he had saved her life and should take responsibility.
Despite all this, Jin Yuha continued to be considerate and attentive to her.
‘I hate myself too…’
Yet, Jin Yuha continued to reassure her in a gentle voice.
“It’s fine.”
It wasn’t fine.
“It’s my fault.”
It was her fault.
“Look at me, okay?”
However, Ichika burrowed deeper into Jin Yuha’s embrace, not wanting to show her face.
“Hmm, in that case, I can’t help it.”
Jin Yuha wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly.
“I was supposed to do something, but Shin Se-hee said she would take care of it, so… Today, I’ll have to spend the whole day with Ichika.”
“… …”
It was indeed the savior’s fault.
How could he be so sweet and whisper to her like this?
“Ichika, what do you want to do today? Tell me anything, I’ll listen. I was wrong, so I’ll do whatever you want.”
Was he really not an incubus?
Why was he whispering such sweet words to her when she was in this pathetic state?
She wanted to tell him not to listen to her, not to be nice to her.
But what came out of her mouth was honest.
“Sleep with me…”
