--------------------------------------------------------------

The soul summoned from the netherworld gradually reveals its true form as it possesses the paper figure.

Kaito couldn't help but reflect on the low probability of success on the first attempt.

But this outcome doesn't seem too bad either.

The man before him, although not Madara, is undoubtedly an Uchiha.

This is because he bears a striking resemblance to Sasuke.

Kaito even thinks that this might be what Sasuke would look like when he grows up.

Could it be an ancestor from Sasuke's lineage?

Thus, when the man opens his eyes, Kaito greets him first, "Greetings, ancestor."

The man, waking up from a deep slumber, first notices Kaito's pair of Sharingan eyes.

He merely scans his surroundings with a calm demeanor and then asks, "Young man, are you the one who awakened me from the netherworld?"

His appearance becomes more vivid, yet distinctly different from Sasuke's.

Though his features are also handsome, an intense aura of decisiveness surrounds him, causing one to overlook his appearance.

"Yes, ancestor, my name is Uchiha Kaito."

Facing an ancestor from his clan, Kaito bows respectfully.

"I am Izuna Uchiha."

Izuna Uchiha nods, showing a friendly attitude towards a clan descendant.

Izuna Uchiha?

However, Kaito doesn't recognize this name.

At this moment, Kaito's ancestor, who had been quiet, reacts.

"Izuna, I'm Kaito's ancestor." She floats over to greet and then informs Kaito, "Izuna is Madara's brother."

Oh?

Kaito feels somewhat pleased.

This summoning wasn't a failure after all!

Izuna takes a closer look at Kaito's ancestor, frowns, and asks, "What relation do you have to Koto Uchiha?"

"Koto was my mother," Kaito's ancestor responds.

"So, even the descendants of little Koto are now deceased? It seems many years have passed since my death," Izuna remarks with a sigh.

Then he inquires, "How is the Uchiha clan now?"

Kaito's ancestor pauses and looks to Kaito.

With a bitter smile, Kaito honestly replies, "The only Uchihas left alive that we can be certain of are just three."

There's also someone masquerading as Madara Uchiha behind a mask, who might be an Uchiha too.

Kaito thought briefly but didn't count that person.

As expected, upon hearing Kaito's words, Izuna's aura explosively intensifies.

Cracks spread on the floor beneath him.

At the same time, the stability of the paper figure he possesses starts to falter.

Thankfully, despite his daunting presence, the other three present are unaffected.

Realizing his unstable state, Izuna forcibly calms himself.

With an oppressive gaze fixed on Kaito, he demands, "Young man, tell me what has happened after my death."

"Yes," Kaito said with a gentle smile.

Not just about the clan, but he also needed to give this ancestor a crash course on the true history of the shinobi world.

Madara's brother, a powerful wielder of the Mangekyo Sharingan and likely a significant influence on Madara himself.

Lucky break!

This was undoubtedly an ace up the sleeve, second only to drawing Madara himself.

Thus, Kaito spent an entire day detailing the recent, modern, and ancient history of the shinobi world to Izuna.

During which, Izuna cursed the "bastard trash" Hashirama Senju around eighty times, and the "sneaky little man" Tobirama Senju over a hundred times.

After understanding the whole situation, he asserted his dear brother Madara always wanted to create a peaceful world and was a very kind and shiningly good person.

"Young man, I agree to help you summon my brother to clarify things."

In the end, Izuna agreed to Kaito's request.

"If my brother truly has been misled or deceived..."

He paused here, again bursting out with a terrifying killing intent.

To this, Kaito inwardly acknowledged he was an atypical Uchiha, not quite understanding these traditional Uchiha sibling bonds.

This summoning made Kaito even more aware of the incompatibility between his paper beings and chakra-using ninjas.

He and Izuna agreed that once he found better substitute materials, he would summon him again, and then through him, summon Madara.

Then he sent the highly unstable Izuna, due to the damaged paper figure, back to the netherworld.

"What can I say?"

After Izuna returned to the netherworld, Kaito stroked his chin, musing with a smile, "Though Yūrei mistook the target, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise? I feel the current situation is even better than if Madara Uchiha had been summoned directly."

"Hmph."

Yūrei glanced at Kaito disapprovingly but remained silent.

Kaito Uchiha's ancestor nodded in agreement, "Although there are rumors that Madara stole his brother's eyes, what I heard from the elders in my childhood is that Madara and Izuna had a very close relationship."

"Izuna voluntarily gave his eyes to Madara after being gravely injured by Tobirama Senju, hoping he could lead the clan forward. Thus, Izuna can be considered the most important person to Madara."

"I never doubted our Uchiha brotherly love," Kaito chuckled, "With Izuna on our side, persuading Madara should be easier."

"Alright, Kaito." Yūrei suddenly stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Kaito's arm, "I've been searching in dreams for a long time today and am already tired. Let's go eat."

Kaito looked at Yūrei speechlessly.

A thousand-year-old yokai tired after a few hours of using her innate abilities?

And although your actions and words might seem like you're acting coquettishly, why are your expression and tone so indifferent?

I really don't get you!

Of course, these were all his internal complaints, not daring to voice them out loud.

Because being suddenly invaded in dreams by a yokai emitting eerie vibes is not a pleasant experience.

This was a valuable lesson Kaito learned over the years.

"Then, Kaito, you and Yūrei go ahead and eat. Don't forget Sasuke is still waiting at home," Kaito Uchiha's ancestor reminded, earning a grateful look from Yūrei.

Kaito Uchiha's ancestor gave Yūrei a gentle wink before vanishing.

"Let's go, let's go."

Yūrei pulled Kaito towards the outside of the castle tower.

"I got it," Kaito reluctantly followed her pace but still couldn't help commenting, "Aren't butterflies supposed to live on nectar?"

"I'm a yokai," Yūrei turned to stare at Kaito with a cool gaze, scrutinizing him, "So I can eat anything."

"Is... is that so? Then let's go."

Kaito felt a chill down his spine.

Somehow, he had the feeling he might end up being eaten by this yokai one day.
