Chapter 44: Chapter 44 Xavier in dilemma
Inside Xavier's Office. Everyone was now seated on the sofas.
Jean sat close to Sullivan. Her arm was touching him.
Sullivan at first wanted to tell her that she was too close. but then he looked at Xavier. He could see that he wasn't happy.
'Well…what can I do? I am a jerk.'
Of course He brought her closer. This made Jean feel embarrassed and giddy but happy.
Xavier who saw that couldn't hold it in anymore and asked.
"Could you tell me what your relationship is with Jean?"
After He finished asking that.
Evey staff member looked at Xavier weirdly. Just looking at them, anyone could tell that they were dating.
And why Xavier had to ask this question wasn't it was their business. He wasn't Jean's father. If there was anyone who had the right to ask this question It was Ororo who took care of her more than the professor did in the past.
In the past he was just teaching her to use psychic power but that's all. But Ororo took care of her like she was her biological sister. They share the same problem after all.
And when Jean wanted to tell him that he was her best friend Sullivan cut her before she could.
"She's my fiancee."
"Your fiancee! Why wasn't I informed about this?"
"Are you her father?"
"No."
"So why do we have to inform you? It is our private matter."
Xavier was looking funny now. He could think of any comeback at this moment.
Sullivan this was the first time he was lying to someone. but it somehow felt natural to him like he was speaking the truth.
Jean didn't speak anything because she was too shocked to speak anything. Her face was red, almost the same as her hair.
'I am…h-his fiancee…'
She still can't control her emotions that well. So She was a mess now.
"I have the right to know who she is in a relationship with because She is my responsibility."
Xavier looked serious and tried to speak his mind to Sullivan. but his subtle mind manipulation wasn't enough to break Sullivan's defence.
"What responsibility? You mean the responsibility of what you have done to her in the past? Blocking her emotion with your power without informing her of the backlash, how responsible can you be."
Sullivan spoke fiercely.
He won't stand aside and do nothing to someone who plots against his friend.
Ororo, Logan and Hank looked at Xavier. It seemed they didn't know about this.
"What does he mean professor"
The one who asked this question was Ororo. No one needs to be told about the backlash of blocking one emotion. they knew it would explode someday.
"This…"
Jean now returned to her senses before shaking her head. She looked at Ororo who asked the professor out of concern. It had been three years now that She wasn't in contact with her but she was still the same. Jean couldn't help but feel warm inside her heart.
Jean then explained to everyone about the blockage and backlash she was enduring all this time.
"How can you do that to Jean professor I can't believe you"
Ororo was angry. She sat down next to Jean and glared at Xavier. Ororo was another person that Xavier couldn't control but because she loved kids She decided to protect them. Her loyalty wasn't his but her students.
"This I can explain…There is something inside her that is far stronger than anyone could perceive. I did what I did because I mean well."
"Are you sure about that?"
Sullivan cut him off mercilessly.
"What do you want Mr.Sullivan, your action in antagonizing me was not appreciated."
"Really? I didn't know I was antagonizing you. I just speak my mind. If you mean well why didn't you tell anyone about it and don't tell me that because It was dangerous and because It was dangerous that you need to tell them. Not let them in the dark."
Sullivan attacked Xavier.
Xavier was very angry now but he needed to keep calm and tried to talk his way out of this.
But Sullivan didn't let him go.
"I have been in her mind…I felt that behind those blockages there is something and I can't refute that it is strong. Stronger than any of you could imagine. but It isn't evil…actually it is full of life. It could have killed me but It chose to let me off. You should unblock her core before the entity couldn't hold it in anger anymore and choose violence instead. Everything has a limit after all."
Xavier looked at Sullivan and then looked at Jean.
"Don't listen to him. Jean, he is lying. I can not unblock your mind otherwise It will destroy us all."
Sullivan blinked and then looked at Jean. He thought of something then held her hand before speaking with his heart felt.
"Jean, you believe me right. Please tell him to unblock your emotions. I don't want you to be hurt anymore."
Ororo Logan and Hank heard how sincere Jean's boyfriend was and they couldn't help looking at Xavier.
Jean got hit by it the most. She looked at Xavier with great determination.
"Please professor, I believed Sol. Please give me back my emotions."
Xavier was in a dilemma. What should he do now? He was losing his greatest piece. how could he fight with Eric without her.
