I am Thor

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Dragon Knight

Thor had anticipated that the black dragon summoned by the system would be cunning, but he hadn't expected it to be this devious. The moment it materialized, the creature's first instinct was to attack its master.

Thor barely dodged a torrent of blazing flames aimed directly at him. The heat singed the air around him as he moved. Before he could catch his breath, a massive dragon tail, easily more than ten meters long, came sweeping toward him with enough force to topple mountains.

"Boom!"

The ground trembled as Thor caught the tail with his bare hands. Onyxia, the black dragon, widened her immense, glowing eyes in shock. She struggled to pull free, but Thor's grip was unyielding.

Her mind raced. How could a mortal possess such strength? Desperation overtook her arrogance as she cried out in a voice both pleading and trembling, "Master! Forgive me! I made a mistake! You are truly a mighty warrior, worthy to command me!"

Despite her humble words, Thor's eyes narrowed as he glanced at the system panel floating in his peripheral vision.

Thor smirked. Does she think I'm that naive? Her attempt at deception was almost amusing. Without loosening his grip, he watched as Onyxia's expression shifted from fear to defiance.

Suddenly, the dragon threw her head back and released a bone-chilling roar that reverberated across the forest. The sound carried an unnatural, primal force, shaking the very air with its intensity. It wasn't just a roar—it was an attack on the psyche, a signature skill of black dragons meant to instill terror in all who heard it.

"ROAR!"

In the distance, Yondu and his crew, who were stealthily approaching Rocket and the others, froze in their tracks. The sound hit them like a hammer, sending shivers down their spines. Yondu barely held his composure, but some of his men weren't as lucky—several collapsed to their knees, trembling, while others outright lost control of their bladders.

"Damn it, where did a dragon come from?!" Yondu hissed, quickly scanning the horizon. His sharp eyes soon caught sight of the massive black dragon towering in the distance—and Thor standing defiantly before it.

Yondu's pupils shrank. His instincts screamed at him to retreat. "Boys, fall back! That bounty from Sovereign ain't worth getting fried by a god!" He motioned for his crew to flee, knowing full well that getting between gods and dragons was a death wish.

Meanwhile, back at the confrontation, Thor remained unimpressed by Onyxia's roar of fear. While it was potent enough to paralyze most mortals, he was no ordinary being. As the God of Thunder, Thor simply gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the dragon's tail.

"Not bad," he muttered, smirking. "But it'll take more than that to scare me."

Onyxia's roar faded into silence, replaced by a frustrated growl. Her humiliation only deepened when Thor swung her massive form like a ragdoll, slamming her headfirst into the ground. Dust and dirt exploded around them as her scales scraped against the rocky terrain.

"Ah! I'll kill you!" Onyxia snarled, her voice a mixture of fury and desperation. She writhed and thrashed, trying to break free, but Thor's strength was unrelenting.

Her chance came when she twisted her neck and snapped her jaws toward him, aiming to bite him in half.

"Kacha!"

Her teeth met Thor's arm with a metallic clang. It felt as though she had bitten into solid steel. Pain shot through her jaws, numbing her entire face. Onyxia recoiled, her golden eyes wide with disbelief.

What is this guy made of? she thought, panic rising. Even her father, one of the mightiest dragons, didn't exude such overwhelming pressure. Thor's aura was suffocating.

"Had enough?" Thor asked coolly. Without waiting for an answer, he slammed her into the ground once more and summoned his weapon. With a flick of his hand, Stormbreaker appeared, its sharp edge pressing lightly but firmly against the dragon's neck.

Onyxia froze. Every scale on her body bristled, her instincts screaming that one wrong move would be her last.

"Two options," Thor said, his tone calm yet commanding. "One, you become my mount and wear this." He held up a leather rein. "Two, I turn you into a dragon specimen."

The choice was obvious. Onyxia's defiance crumbled under the weight of her survival instinct. "No, no! I'll choose the first option!" she exclaimed hurriedly, her voice trembling.

Without hesitation, she lowered her head and allowed Thor to place the rein around her neck. Her pride as a dragon took a heavy blow, but it was better than death.

[Onyxia, Loyalty: 59%]

Thor observed the change in her loyalty level and nodded in approval. "Good. You're mine now," he said, pulling the reins tight. "Now, can you transform into a human form? It's inconvenient dragging a dragon around when we're not fighting."

Onyxia's massive frame began to shimmer and shrink. In moments, the towering black dragon was gone, replaced by a stunning woman with long black hair cascading down her back. Her elegant features carried a touch of mischief, though her demeanor was subdued for now. She bowed gracefully.

"Countess Katrana Prestor, at your service," she said with a sly smile.

Thor raised an eyebrow. He suspected that name was part of some pretense she had concocted before her summoning, but it didn't matter.

"Well, Countess," Thor began, crossing his arms. "I am Thor Odinson, son of Odin, Lord of the Nine Realms, God of Thunder, heir to the throne of Asgard—and now, your master."

For a moment, Onyxia's eyes gleamed with interest. So he's not an ordinary human after all, she thought. This might not be so bad...

As she mulled over her fate, Thor noticed her loyalty level tick upward slightly, reaching 60%. He smirked, satisfied.
