Sublimation occurs based on two reasons bloodline which is the life level or energy intensity which is the quality of energy

Now they are not just responsible for sublimation but mutations in general can be traced back to these two factors the reason mutations are rare is because of stability every mutation must be based on a certain amount of accumulation which serves as the foundation and sufficient amount of energy

Blood represents "essence" and soul power represents "qi". The soul represents "god", and the soul master is the product of the combination of the three.

Martial Souls is the link so you can't go wrong with evolution as the core of cultivation but there is a pre-requisite which is to strengthen the foundation, play to one's strengths and avoid weaknesses

The essence of cultivation is not only to cultivate essence, energy and spirit, but also to use these three treasures to harmonize the human body and varies from each person and their martial soul

Be it shoring up weaknesses or enhancing your strengths they both are pretty valid choices as for which one is better it ultimately depends on the individual

As for my martial soul it is safe to assume it is of spiritual attribute due to the nature of my domain as for specific details it is hard to know but based on the name it is safe to make a certain amount of assumptions

Mutations are pretty hard to deal with after all optimization of an existing path is easier than creating a new one

Although I have an inherited cultivation technique it isn't suitable for myself as my martial soul isn't clear sky hammer so let's start with the basics

There is a pretty good reason why mediation is the primary cultivation method as each martial soul provides the soul master a soul power circulation method which is relatively complete especially for top martial souls so it part of the reason why basic cultivation theories are rather lacking

In this world, there are two systems for running soul power in the human body they are the gears the drive the growth of the soul master cultivation system

These two operating systems complement each other and can jointly promote the continuous improvement of a soul master's realm. If there is a conflict between the two, it will affect the progress of the soul master .

It is for this reason that those without innate soul power can't cultivate and why Tang San can cultivate before awakening his martial soul.

The method of cultivating soul power that the martial soul passes on to the soul master is nothing more than the martial soul itself starting to operate, forcibly driving the innate soul power to operate in the human body, thereby constructing a gear that is compatible with the martial soul's gear course the reverse is also possible.

The reason why innate soul power is important is that it not only reflects the quality of the martial soul but also the compatibility of the martial soul and soul master of course it is possible to supplement it with acquired training

It almost fool proof if you do not mess around and very friendly to geniuses but the lack of basic knowledge is concerning especially if I want to develop it to the peak and make it more mature at least compared to other fantasy and cultivation worlds

Personally I think it is just a matter of priority as all paths lead to the same goal especially in cultivation worlds although the process may be a bit different based on the world as the smallest details and bias are important when creating one's own foundation

Not to mention after reaching a certain point of cultivation you need to walk your own path with the foundation you accumulated and built there is no right or wrong only if it is suitable to do so or not after all everyone's perception and understanding is different

Although martial souls change through cultivation depending on the soul master there are hard limits especially for artifact spirits which are more rigid compared to biological spirits like plant and beast spirits

Speaking of which my martial soul Wishful Ring is an artifact spirit so the process of cultivation should be similar to artifact refining in cultivation and fantasy worlds if one wants to achieve sublimation it isn't as straightforward

When ordinary soul masters choose the path of martial soul development, they often only choose one.   

Even if you choose multiple options, you will definitely have to distinguish the primary and secondary ones, and only focus on one.

It is difficult to maximize the gains and go far as the purity and depth of the path must be taken in to consideration to reach the top

After all, everyone's martial soul has different characteristics, and everyone's talent and energy are different along with limited soul ring slots which provides foundation so it is easy to say in theory but hard on practice as every martial soul has certain amount of stability and balance

From the perspective of cultivation, the process of cultivating soul power is boring and consumes mental energy. If you meditate on your martial soul during cultivation and let your martial soul participate so that it can cultivate and grow with you, it will consume more mental energy, thus reducing the time for cultivating soul power. After all, if the soul power circulates more often in the body, it will feel bloated, painful, and numb.

As I have no practical experience in cultivation referencing to certain ideas from my previous life like visualization and time spent on cultivation during meditation to be more connected with my martial soul isn't a bad idea to achieve a breakthrough

Although it is said to be a malignant mutation it isn't quite right as after all it has an innate domain which the clear sky hammer doesn't have so it is more likely to be a issue with incompatibility which fortunately paid off all it is a bit late now
