I am not a daughter of the vampire queen!

50. Nemi’s love

After just a few weeks, the succubi realized how foolish it was to fight against the army of the blood clan, led by princess Julia Leranpe. With this realization, they surrendered unconditionally, admitting their inferiority and converting to a new religion dedicated to Julia.

But back in the heart of the bloodlines, in a temple in the center of the capital, a seemingly young girl with shoulder-length red hair stood at the altar dressed in a heavily ornamented white dress.

This girl, Nemi Amir, was experiencing the best day of her life. And this happiness was likewise shared by the crowd of elegantly dressed vampires behind her. None of them mattered though, even though one of them should be her father.

In the crowd, the only person that mattered to Nemi was a silver-haired, petite woman dressed in a beautiful dress. who was easily mistaken for a little girl. This lady was currently crying on the shoulder of a maid. My little girl had grown up so quickly. could be heard from her among her tears.

The lady, queen of the blood clan Loriam. Was shedding tears to mark this joyous day. And why wouldn’t she? After all, today wasn’t just Nemi’s day but also…

Nemi’s heartbeat got faster as a hand as soft as if it were made of silk squeezed hers. Nemi looked at the owner of the hand and smiled. A young silver-haired beauty dressed in attire more befitting a young nobleman than a young lady smiled back at her.

Regardless of what she, the Blood Clan Princess Julia, wore, she was simply spectacular. And it was also her, Princess Julia, to whom this special day belonged to as well.

"We have met her today, in front of the gods-"

A middle-aged woman wearing dark robes talked in front of an altar. Nemi, though, wasn’t paying attention to her, instead, she was admiring the beauty next to her. The beauty that was soon to be her one and only wife.

"Yes, I do."

Nemi heard Julia say with a blissful expression. This simple phrase brought Nemi back to the temple, and she turned her attention to the priestess in front of her. After all, she was about to say the words she had wished to say for a long time.

"And you, Miss Nemi Amir. Do you wish to take up her highness’s hand in the sacred union of marriage? To stand by her side, both in good and bad till death do you part?"

"I do."

Nemi did her best not to stutter. That would have been embarrassing. Besides, someone who can’t even say such simple words would have no right to be her highness’s wife. but luckily, she didn’t mess up.

"You may now seal your union with a kiss."

As the prestress said so, Julia and Nemi turned to face each other. A light shade of pink on their cheeks.

They both chuckled, seeing how embarrassed the other was. After which, they looked their gazes at the other’s eyes. before closing them and leaning forward towards each other.

Nemi felt her face heat up in anticipation. True, she had already kissed Julia before, but now was different. This time it was consensual, to confirm their mutual love and make them an official couple.

She had no desire for the royal life, but she knew that her wife had certain duties to fulfil. And Nemi was ready to do her best for her dear wife. first though she intended to solve a pressing issue of children.

Nemi was decided to give birth to at least six beautiful daughters worthy of being Julia’s. However, she had no idea of how she could get pregnant with Julia in the first place. But she was sure she would figure something out. There is simply no way magic would not allow for it.

Nemi shook her head. That was the future, but for now, she should be enjoying the present.

The soft, red lips of Julia closed to Nemi’s. Her heart was beating as if it was trying to escape from her chest.

And at long last, their lips connected. Nemi’s brain was overrun by the sensation. The gentle cool of Julia’s lips and the soft, silky texture…

"-emi. Nemi, just how long do you plan to sleep?"

"Eh?"

Nemi opened her eyes as she heard the voice calling to her. But to her dismay, instead of the lovely face of her wife, there was just a pillow that she was tightly hugging.

Nemi blinked a few times before a sad sigh escaped her lips. Just a dream…

"I would appreciate it if you would not talk in your sleep. Knowing what you fantasize about is the last thing I want to know."

Behind her, an annoyed voice of a girl slightly younger than herself was heard. Turning around, Nemi saw her (formerly) younger sister, currently a servant; Kolen.

"I had a really nice dream… couldn’t you let me sleep at least five minutes more?"

Nemi wrapped herself in a blanket as she looked at Kolen with puppy eyes. It's hard to believe that this girl tortured and killed her sisters. Kolen thought as she glared at Nemi.

"No can do. If I did, you would start to make out with the pillow."

"Umm, did you perhaps see me do something like that?"

Nemi asked carefully and with a slight hope that Kolen was just making things up. But Kolen’s expression suggested otherwise.

"Way too many times."

She looked at Nemi’s face with an annoyed expression.

"It would be better if you weren’t talking in your sleep. And on that note, today was most likely the only time you weren’t dreaming of-"

"Shut up! shut up! I got it already."

Nemi’s face turned bright red as Kolen talked. In the end, having her fantasy revealed by Kolen was humiliating for her. even more than the mere fact that Kolen was aware of them.

"Look, I know that you love her highness. But this isn’t healthy for you. You are way too obsessed with her."

Kolen gently rubbed, what she assumed was Nemi’s shoulder through the blanket that Nemi hid herself under.

"Her highness might be aware of how you feel since, well, you kissed her."

Being reminded of when she had crossed the line, Nemi buried her head in the pillow. But Kolen’s next words made her peak out of the blanket.

"But her highness didn’t start to avoid you, so she at least doesn’t hate you. Not to mention there was this little glint in her eyes when she looked at you."

"You really think she doesn’t hate me?"

As she peered out from under the blanket at Kolen, Nemi's voice was as quiet as it could be. Who lightly nodded with a smile.

Nemi abruptly sat up, as if her previous state of mind was a lie.

"Then I don’t have to pretend I do not exist and can really marry her?"

"Maybe you should focus on a different end goal."

"I will have to talk to dad so I can go help Julia."

"Are you even listening to me?"

Kolen looked helplessly as she watched Nemi sprint out of the room. while completely ignoring her.
