Chapter 159: Chapter 159: Upgrades (2)
[Third Person's PoV]
"Now then if you would take the other things out from the briefcase" Tony ordered Clint, which he did.
He set the suit aside and took out a pair of cloves.
"Those gloves protect your hands from continues use of your bow and arrows, while it also increases the force of your punches if you were to engage in close quarter combat"
Clint smirked as he put them on and opened and closed his fist, "Not bad, they don't uncomfortable, it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing gloves"
Clint then pulled off some boots as Tony explain, "The sole at the bottom are made out of Vibranium so if you jump down from a high place you would be alright"
Clint then pulled out a black wristband, "And this is…?"
"Your bow," Melissa said, informing him, causing him to gain an even more confused expression.
"You see that line right now in the middle of it?" Melissa asked causing Clint to turn it around and see the line she was talking about. "Put your finger right in the middle of it"
Clint did just that, "Ah!" He claimed in surprise as he didn't expect to be pricked, when he looked down he saw a drop of his blood in the middle of it, it was then outlined by a purple color and purple circuitry was seen running throughout the wristband. The line in the middle split opened and clasped itself onto Clint's forearm.
"It's a bio-lock meaning only and those related to you would truly be able to command it. Think of it transforming into you weapon"
The wristband then jumps from his forearm and into his hand, transforming and shifting into his bow in a manner of seconds. He raised an eyebrow and moved his hands up and down, "Light… That's good" He muttered.
He pulled back on the string and aimed all the way off to the side before releasing the string and watching it snap back into place with a satisfied nod.
"Set the bow down and take a couple of steps back" Melissa ordered.
Clint did just that and didn't question it anymore as he was interested in what they were going to show him next.
"Now hold your hand towards it and image it coming to you," Tony said
Clint raised a brow and did just that, which caused the bow to levitate from it's position and fly towards Clint's hands.
"You can do that with the wrist band as well" Melissa said as Clint then pulled out a quiver and hoisted it over his shoulders.
"Don't tell me this is upgraded as well" Clint asked with a teasing scoff.
"But of course, it has electromagnetic connectors meaning most of the arrows you shot you would be able to retrieve them all as well. Just press the button on the strap" Tony informed him.
Clint became curious and pressed the button, all of the arrows inside the briefcase came flying up and down into his quiver until it was full.
"All the Arrows have Labels, so you know what they do. Alright so who's next?"
"Me!" Natasha said excitedly, raising her hands.
They all turned to look at her with a weird look, causing her to playfully pout, "What? You saw all the cool toys he gave Barton, I'm curious what they made for me"
Melissa handed the briefcase with the Black Widow logo to her, which she set on the table and opened it up. The first she pulled out was a black and dark red suit with a black belt, it's buckle having the design of her logo.
They then instructed her to do the same thing Barton did with the wristband to the belt buckle. And the suit seems to have wrapped itself around her. Covering her entire body minus her head in black and red leather.
"Oooh, this is nice…" Natasha said as she began to feel herself. "So what does it do?"
"Well apart from enhancing your strength, durability, and speed, it has other options like hidden weapons, mainly around your hands and feet. Just picture a blade coming out of those parts of your body"
Natasha clenched her fist and from behind her fist a silver blade shot up, she clenched her other fist and the same happened.
Natasha stood up and began slashing and punching the air creating the sound of the air being cut. She then raised her foot and from her back heel another blade appeared which she brought down, "Alright… you two are definitely my two most favorite people so far"
"You are also able to cling to walls and climb up them like an actual spider or rather a Widow." Melissa teased
"While the belt allows you to turn invisible and float in the air" Tony said, taking Natasha by surprise.
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah… It disperses both the gravitons and photon particles around your body" Tony explained.
"Wait, are you saying Gravitons are actually real?" Bruce interjected.
Meanwhile Natasha decided to test it out and raised a brow as she saw herself disappearing. As she was a fast learner she quickly found how to make herself float as well and how to effectively control it.
She smirked towards her and flipped herself landing on the ceiling and undid her invisible.
"Hey everyone" Natasha called out towards them with a two fingers salute.
They looked up to see Natasha casually walking around the ceiling without a care in the world. She then flipped herself around and slowly allowed her gravity to return to normal causing her to land graciously on the ground.
"Honestly just this suit is more than enough to increase my effectiveness in combat" Natasha said in appreciation.
She then looked through the briefcase as there was still something in there. She pulled out two identical wristbands like the one Clint hand. "I suppose I have to do the same thing Clinton did with his?"
Seeing them nodding Natasha injected her blood wristband, it gained a red circuitry before it opened up which she put along her forearm, "So what exactly does this thing do?"
"I call that the Omni-Armament, it practically transform into any firearm you can think off, from pistols, to rifles, to sniper"
Natasha held up her hands, the wrist band shifted to her hands and transformed into two futurist hand pistols, they were black with a faint red glow. They then shifted again and turned into futurist rifles which she hoisted on her shoulders aiming them upwards.
Melissa then explained, "They shoot out concessive rounds, which are not lethal but are able to send someone flying and knock someone out. However if you want it to be lethal, you would need to hold down the trigger to charge up the attack"
Natasha simply imagined herself floating in the air raining down havoc with a large smile. She turned her weapons back into wristbands and went and hugged Tony and Melissa at the same time, "Thank you, you two"
'I WAS HUGGED BY THE BLACK WIDOW! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE' Tony inwardly cried out, 'Don't get a boner, Don't get a boner, Don't get a boner, Don't get a boner, Don't get a boner,'
After Natasha happily examined her new arsenal, Tony handed a box to Bruce.
"Here you go," Tony said casually.
"What?" Bruce asked, surprised. "I get something?"
"It's not much... I had a hard time figuring out what you might like," Tony admitted with a shrug.
When Bruce opened the box, he couldn't help but laugh. "Clothes? Thanks, I really needed some," he said, chuckling.
"They're more than just clothes," Melissa explained. "They're made using Unstable Molecule Fibers."
"I see…" Bruce immediately understood. "I take it that, thanks to the unstable molecules, these clothes can adapt to the user—even if, let's say, they transform into a giant green monster?"
Tony nodded. "Exactly. They're also resistant to stab wounds, bullets, extreme temperatures, and stains. So, even in your base form, you'll be well-protected."
Bruce ran his hands over the fabric, appreciating its texture. "Thank you. This won't just save my dignity when I... transform, but also my wallet," he said with a grateful smile.
Melissa then handed a briefcase to Steve. When he opened it, he found a new suit that looked largely similar to his old one.
"Your suit's been upgraded, like the others. It's more durable now, with Vibranium soles on the boots and a few additional features," Tony explained. "The most significant upgrades, though, are on your forearms and back."
Steve examined his forearms and noticed two glowing blue spots. Inside the briefcase, his iconic red, white, and blue shield lay nestled.
"The devices on your forearms are electromagnetic connectors—similar to what Clint has in his quiver. I've added corresponding tech to your shield. These magnets respond to your brain's electric signals, meaning the shield will react to your intent. For example, throw it, and then think about recalling it midway."
Steve strapped on the forearm devices and threw his shield. As instructed, he focused on calling it back, and the shield stopped midair before flying back to his forearm.
Steve raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed.
"Now, hold that stance," Tony instructed, smirking. "I want you to think about protecting those around you."
Steve raised his shield protectively. Suddenly, the star in the shield's center began to glow with a blue light. Rings of light expanded outward, forming a shimmering barrier.
Steve's eyes widened in surprise, and the room fell silent as everyone stared at the spectacle.
"It uses hard-light technology to create a barrier," Tony explained. "It extends your defensive capabilities, letting you protect a larger area."
Steve looked at the glowing shield in amazement. "You've truly outdone yourself, Tony," he said, genuinely impressed.
Tony couldn't resist glancing at Stark and flashing a smug grin. Stark rolled his eyes in response, clearly not as impressed.
