Stretching out a hand, Vanessa understood Jaxon's intention and took the initiative to lean into his arms.

Jaxon was holding the beauty with one hand while preparing breakfast with the other.

It could be said that Western food was simpler, allowing Jaxon to cook it with just one hand.

Vanessa enjoyed the intimacy, a feeling she had never experienced before.

After they had breakfast together, Vanessa didn't want to go anywhere and just wanted to snuggle up to Jaxon.

-----

Since today was a day off, Jaxon decided to stay one more day.

He accompanied Vanessa to the gallery and brought the painting back home.

In the evening, naturally, they spent time together.

While Jaxon was busy, Peter, Gwen, and Daredevil (Matt) had a big mission tonight.

According to the clues from Daredevil, they were going to take down one of Kingpin's hideouts.

The trio moved in and fought their way into an abandoned building.

They found the criminals, but something was off.

Daredevil was the first to sense it.

"Be careful! Something's wrong."

The three of them discussed carefully, waiting for more clues from Matt.

"The personnel here have been moved, but I've picked up on something else."

"So you've noticed?"

"It seems some gang members have captured someone important."

Under Matt's direction, the group split into three teams, advancing cautiously.

Eventually, they discovered the situation: a group of gangsters had captured a law enforcer.

The three of them had a good understanding of each other and coordinated an immediate attack from multiple angles, aiming to rescue the hostage.

Just as they were about to move in, they heard sirens outside.

The arrival of law enforcement should have been a good sign.

The trio decided to act fast and leave once the hostages were safe.

However, the gangsters were cunning and took the hostages as shields, threatening them.

"Don't come any closer, or I'll kill him."

Seeing this, the trio realized they couldn't make any rash moves and had to ensure the hostages' safety.

Gwen knew it was her moment.

The symbiote extended as a thin tendril across the floor.

The gangster didn't even notice the tiny line until it crawled up his arm.

Suddenly, his hands were bound, rendering him immobile.

"What the…?"

Before the gangster could react, Gwen and her companions swiftly attacked, taking him down.

With the gangsters captured, law enforcement officers rushed inside.

"The police are here. Our mission is done. Let's get out of here."

Bang!

A gunshot pierced the night, and the three became immediately alert.

At first, they thought the police had opened fire on them, but to their surprise, the hostage fell.

They were stunned. Weren't the police supposed to be saving him?

How did the hostage end up shot?

Before they could process it, they heard a commanding voice.

"They killed the hostage! They're trying to escape!"

"Requesting backup! Requesting backup!"

The trio quickly realized something was wrong.

"Stop, you three masked criminals!" An officer shouted.

Gwen was baffled, "Wait, what?"

Daredevil, despite his blindness, saw the truth clearer than anyone.

"These cops may be on Kingpin's payroll."

"This is a setup. They're part of Kingpin's crew." Matt said, just as gunfire rained down on them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

They quickly retreated, with Gwen covering their escape.

Thanks to the symbiote suit, Gwen could withstand bullets. Daredevil and Peter, on the other hand, weren't so lucky.

The trio fled the building, but the cops didn't chase them aggressively, which made things even stranger.

Once they made it to a rooftop, they paused to catch their breath.

Neither Peter nor Gwen had ever encountered something like this before. They thought their job was simply to save people.

Matt, though, stayed calm.

"This is Kingpin's play. He's framing us. Tomorrow's headlines will label us as criminals."

Peter, clearly frustrated, sighed, "How could this happen? They're supposed to be the good guys."

"We've made Kingpin angry." Matt said evenly, "This was his move, though I didn't expect things to escalate this quickly."

"So what do we do now, Matt? Keep fighting even though we're wanted by the police?" Peter asked.

Gwen thought of Jaxon, "Good thing Jaxon planned ahead. We have a way to clear our names."

With that, Gwen summoned three drones—custom-made by Tony Stark at Jaxon's request.

The drones had been recording their heroic actions.

"The drones captured everything. We just need to get the footage out there to prove our innocence."

"But how do we release it?" Peter asked.

Gwen grinned, "I have a plan. My dad's not corrupt. We can send the footage to him."

"And we have *The Daily Heroes*."

Gwen knew that Jaxon owned that newspaper, with Betty's mother, Bella, running it.

Matt nodded, aware of *The Daily Heroes* because Tony Stark was a partner. The paper specialized in stories about heroes.

With George Stacy and *The Daily Heroes* on their side, they had a chance to clear their names.

"I'll call Jaxon and handle the video editing. Then I'll send the footage to my dad, and Jaxon can get it to *The Daily Heroes*."

Gwen contacted Jaxon, but he was busy.

Jaxon answered the phone, quickly learning about the situation.

Gwen needed help, but he couldn't be there in person.

After reassuring Vanessa, Jaxon decided to reveal his secret.

"Vanessa, I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"You know I've mentioned helping people?"

"I remember."

"Well, I'm actually a superhero. You may have heard of me—Black Spoderman."

Vanessa's eyes widened as she watched Jaxon don the symbiote suit.

"You…you're…"

"I have to leave for a bit. My friends are in trouble."

Vanessa had always thought there was something special about Jaxon, but she never imagined he was a superhero.

Now that she knew his secret, Vanessa took it in stride.

"I understand. Go, do what you need to do."

"I'm going to teleport, so don't be alarmed."

"Will you come back? I'll wait."

What else could Jaxon say but, "Wait for me."

In an instant, he vanished, leaving Vanessa wrapped in a blanket, staring at the spot where he'd just stood.

It was getting late, and otherwise, Jaxon would have gone to Tony's for more help earlier.

After some twists and turns, Jaxon reunited with Gwen and the others at Matt's place.

Peter was busy working on the footage.

Thankfully, none of them had revealed their identities, and the drone had captured everything clearly.

"This drone footage is top-notch." Peter remarked, "Everything was filmed perfectly."

"We've double-checked everything." Gwen added, "Nothing compromises us, and all angles of the incident were recorded."

"I'll give a copy to my dad." Gwen continued, "He'll help clear things up."

"And here's the USB drive for *The Daily Heroes*. They can help clear our names too."
