I am in legacies

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

With a newfound sense of purpose, he embarked on his adventure. Climbing up the sturdy middle tree trunk, his every move was marked by precision and unwavering confidence as he ascended to the middle top. From there, he leaped gracefully to the left-side tree branch, landing with the agility of someone intimately acquainted with the ways of the forest, a true semi - seasoned forest dweller. In a matter of moments, he had reached his destination, the treehouse nestled high among the ancient forest's branches.

As he stepped inside the treehouse, he took in the simple yet functional interior. A bed, unadorned but comfortable, undoubtedly inviting, seeming to be calling out to him. Nearby, a line of animal meat hung, drying in the warm forest air. A modest selection of clothing was neatly arranged, and packets of water awaited his thirst. In one corner, a bow and arrows lay at rest.

Jacob, still adjusting to his new reality, spoke to himself, his words carrying a blend of wonder and resignation.

"Never been homeless before... Well, I also never had magic before, so there's a first time for everything, I guess." With that, he sprawled on the bed, exhaustion claiming him as he drifted into slumber.

The night passed in silence, only the occasional rustle of leaves and the whisper of the night wind. Time flowed by, and morning approached. As the sun's golden rays bathed the ancient forest in warmth and light, life stirred throughout. Each tree, leaf, and fern glistened with the promise of a new day, and the forest itself seemed to awaken. as if whispering tales of timeless wonder and ancient magic to those who dared to listen.

Jacob stirred from his deep sleep, stretching his limbs and taking in the unfamiliar surroundings.

"Wow, that is one hell of a beautiful night. I didn't just fall asleep; I blacked out." He chuckled at the thought. "I usually experience that kind of blackout sleep when I've had a bit too much to drink or I'm as high as a kite. well I suppose this must be one of the unexpected perks of mind-transmigration." A wry smile graced his lips as he contemplated the peculiar turn of events.

Jacob woke up, stretched his body a bit, got up from the pseudo-bed (if you can even call it that) and started looking around.

"Okay, I'm hungry now. What did this guy have for breakfast?" He said as he continued to look around.

"Dry meat, meat…. Another meat….. meat again!... what the hel-..." then his eyes landed on a neglected basket tucked away, revealing a hidden cache of fruits.

"There we go, now that's not bad. You know what they say, 'fruits are good' or something." He grinned and began to eat, savoring the fresh taste.

After a few minutes, he sighed contentedly. "Aaah, that was much needed," he mused, patting his stomach. But as he did so, his jubilant mood turned to astonishment. "Eh, what th—?" He looked down at his stomach in disbelief.

"Whoa, I'm stacked. I have six packs now. No, wait, there are... 1, 2, 3... 8 and a half. I have 8 and a half packs!"

He marveled at his newfound physique, examining his robust arms and thighs. "Look at these arms, they're robust, man. My thighs too. Wait, I don't even know how I look." His curiosity piqued, he paused and contemplated his reflection.

"Well, it doesn't matter," he concluded with a shrug, a wry smile on his face. "Though I do wish I had a 'movie-star' face. Whatever, let's go to the river and see, and also bathe."

With that he got out of the treehouse and started climbing down. He reached the bottom then turned to the direction behind his treehouse and ventured into the woods following the trail, filled with curiosity and the spirit of adventure, he moved forward. Before he knew it, he stumbled upon a small, steaming lake surrounded by a serene landscape adorned with beautiful, delicate flowers. A tranquil oasis, as if framed from pages of a fairy tale.

Jacob couldn't help but smile as he approached the lake, he marvel at the scene unfolding before him. The reflection of the surrounding beauty danced on the water's surface, casting a spell over him.

"Wow... is it strange that I'm starting to feel like a princess?, like royalty stuff." he whispered to himself, caught up in the magic of the moment.

Drawn to the water, he gazed at his own reflection, and there, he saw his face. His eyes were a mesmerizing blend of deep emerald green, veiled in a dusky, enigmatic shade, set against a complexion with a rich, ebony undertone. They held a hint of mystery, like a hidden forest within his gaze, where secrets whispered in the depths of his soul. They also hinted a decree of laziness which added a charm to his demeanour.

Running his fingers through his long, sleek, and shiny black hair, which cascaded down his neck, he couldn't help but appreciate the look.

"Look at this, SON! " he marveled, speaking to his own reflection as if it were a separate entity.

"Not bad, not bad at all. Though I may not be a heartthrob, I can certainly hold my own." A sense of self-assuredness washed over him as he contemplated the intriguing turn his life had taken, and the adventure that lay ahead.
