Chapter 65: Finally, it’s happening.
“What happened?”
"It's nothing; this technique is too easy for you."
Tsunade was surprised upon hearing his gratitude. Indeed, Fugaku, the clan head, was expressing gratitude, which was quite unexpected.
The Uchiha clan members, known for their pride, rarely expressed themselves- this was true even in the past. It was quite a rarity to hear anything beyond a few words from them.
At present, his vast knowledge and mastery of jutsu somewhat understate his true capabilities. His skills encompass the Eight Gates, Wood Release, super strength, immunity to illusionary ninja techniques, Sharingan, and an abundant chakra reserve.
His strength was equivalent to that of a super Kage-level Shinobi, as long as he didn't get caught in the enemy's trap.
It appears that only a select few, such as the Tailed Beast Jinchuriki and Kage-level Shinobi, could confront him. Naturally, he also possessed an array of sealing techniques in his arsenal.
At the moment, a hawk’s cry echoed in the sky. As they both looked up towards the sky and saw the hawk, their brows furrowed.
He recognized this as a summons from the Hokage - an emergency signal.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hokage's office.
The Third Hokage looked with solemn expression upon Fugaku, Tsunade, and the members of the Ino-Shika-Cho team who were present.
"We've received messages from the border post indicating signs of a large-scale troop assembly. As we've already discussed, you need to rush to the border now."
"Now?" Uchiha Fugaku was surprised.
The third Hokage nodded. "No later than tomorrow morning, because the war is imminent, no one knows when they will attack."
"Well.....okay!!" Fugaku.
Seeing his expression, the Third Hokage looked puzzled and asked, “Fugaku clan head, is there something bothering you?”
"No.....nothing."
"If there are no problems, gather your clan members and prepare to set off. I'll leave it to you, Fugaku clan head." The Third Hokage breathed a sigh of relief.
"Don't worry, it's just a small matter."
-------------------------------------------
After leaving the Hokage’s office, he felt lost. He had been looking forward to Mikoto giving birth to their baby.
Now he has to go to the front line. Who knows how long he will stay at the border this time? Is he afraid of losing control of himself?
You know, there are many female ninjas among these ninjas, especially Tsunade, who has large breasts and is going with him.
If he didn't go, that won't work; there are hundreds of his clansmen there.
"What's wrong? You look worried." Tsunade asked him unexpectedly.
In her impression, he seldom showed a troubled look. He gave her a strange look, then diverted his gaze.
"Nothing much; Mikoto is still in Konoha Hospital. The delivery is expected within the next two days, and it's not a good time to leave now."
"Oh? It seems like you really care about Mikoto," she asks him a strange question.
Because she still remembers that night and how he forced her to do such disgusting things.
"Of course, let's not dwell on it." Fugaku called him out. “Shikaku!”
Nara Shikaku, who had been trailing behind him, heard the call and quickly responded, "Lord Fugaku."
"Return and assemble your clan members. We will convene at the village entrance early tomorrow morning."
"Understood."
"And remember to plan more than dozens of marching routes." Fugaku's voice echoed from a distance.
Nara Shikaku paused for a moment, then a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he praised, "Lord Fugaku is truly remarkable, considering every detail so thoroughly."
Chōza Akimichi stood by, looking puzzled, while Inoichi Yamanaka seemed to grasp something.
-------------------------------
Sometime later.
"A war? Really?" Akihiko was surprised at Fugaku's words.
"Yes, we depart tomorrow early in the morning. How many can you assemble by then?" Fugaku nodded in affirmation.
"There are around 500 people in the village and about 300 on surrounding missions who can return before dawn." Akihiko estimated the numbers.
"Good. Have them gather at the village entrance tomorrow morning. I'll lead these 800. You stay behind to wait for the others and manage the supply transport," he instructed.
"Understood."
He paused as Akihiko was about to leave, adding hastily, "And remember, leave the elderly, weak, women, and children behind. Assign a few clansmen who haven't opened their eyes yet to guard duty."
After Akihiko left, he lay on the tatami mat, rubbing his forehead in contemplation. He thought about his unborn child and decided to visit Mikoto in the hospital before leaving.
As he closed the door behind him, he sighed at the sight of his empty house. War was coming, and he knew many would lose their homes.
His thoughts drifted to Obito, his student, who had been away on a mission for two months with Minato.
"Lord Fugaku, are you heading out?" someone asked.
As he was lost in thought, Might duy approached him respectfully.
Fugaku had a good impression of Might duy. Despite his rough look, duy was an upright man who had taught him the Eight Gates Release.
"duy, what's up?" he asked, noticing that duy seemed to have something on his mind.
Might duy looked embarrassed as he pulled him into a secluded corner.
"Lord Fugaku," he began tentatively, "as the head of the clan, I've always held you in high regard. I was hoping to get your advice on something."
