Chapter 60: That Not Corruption
Although she seemed to be weaker than him in term of strength, she didn’t care about that. Tsunade was impulsive.
"It shouldn't happen like this."
He felt a surge of embarrassment as he gestured toward them. There, two guards were standing at a distance, staring at Tsunade and Fugaku with their mouths wide open.
Tsunade looked back and saw the guards.
The guards snapped out of their shock and stammered:
"We... we... didn’t hear anything."
"Nor did we see anything, sorry..."
They walked away from the arena as fast as they could.
"I told you not to do that. Now that you’ve heard what you shouldn’t have, what should we do?"
"They were making so much noise; how was I supposed to know that Tsunade-sama..."
"You still have to say that."
Their voices faded away as they left. Tsunade and Fugaku looked at each other with exasperation.
"When did they get here?" Tsunade asked, frowning.
How could she not notice them?
Fugaku cleared his throat and replied awkwardly, "Well, I saw them heading this way when I got up."
Tsunade’s forehead veins were bulging in frustration. She hadn’t noticed that two people had been standing there before. What’s more, they might have overheard their conversation and misunderstood it.
"Damn it, you two, stop!" Tsunade shouted, but her words were drowned out by the sound of their footsteps as they sprinted away.
"They are gone. It’s useless to shout," Fugaku shrugged off.
He wanted to ask why she was in his backyard that night, but he gave up this idea decisively when he saw Tsunade’s anger.
"Damn it…"
"They are just doing their duty; they heard loud noises and came over to check, but by the way, look at what you have done to this place." Fugaku pointed to the arena, with Tsunade following his gaze.
There were dozens of large and small pits, almost making the arena unrecognizable.
He skillfully evaded her attacks, never retaliating. When he couldn’t dodge, he took a punch from her, resulting in the destruction around them.
"These are just trivial matters; let the old man call a few Earth-style ninjas to assist with the repairs later. What intrigues me more is how you managed to remain unscathed despite taking such a strong blow."
His composure led her to believe that he truly hadn’t been injured, even though he had taken a direct hit from her. It seemed unbelievable that one could remain uninjured in such circumstances.
She really wanted to know why, but after the commotion earlier, she felt too embarrassed to ask him to undress so she could check for herself.
"It's a secret," Fugaku chuckled. "But what I can tell you is that you're no match for me, even in terms of strength."
"You… ha, you…" she was at loss of words. She wanted to retort, but recalling their recent duel, she had no choice but to concede.
He had dodged several blows from her, and he seemed to have no intention of fighting her.
Brushing the dust off his clothes, and he said, "Alright, that's it for today. Your chakra control skills are better than mine. I'll have to learn a few tricks from you when I have time. I have some things to do, so... goodbye."
He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he would be lectured as a thug by her again.
A girl with short black hair stopped as she passed him at the arena entrance. "Hello, clan head..."
"Shizune, are you here to find your master?" he asked.
"Oh? Ah... yes." Shizune was puzzled, unsure as to why he asked such a question.
Fugaku nodded his head and walked away.
This pair of master and disciple, even in the Shippuden, still had a significant strength gap.
Shizune? She should be one of the most ordinary girls, right?
Shizune watched him sigh and leave, even more puzzled. She never thought that the prestigious clan head would be such a moody person.
She shook her head. She was surprised when she went into the arena and saw deep pits everywhere.
"Lady Tsunade, what happened here?"
Shizune asked, and having been with Tsunade for some time, she knew this was likely because of her. Yet the clan head, who had just left unharmed,
Tsunade watched Fugaku’s departure in silence. He must be incredibly strong, relying solely on his physical strength.
Despite being kicked by her, he appeared uninjured. Although she hadn’t used her Hundred Seals Mark, she could tell that he hadn’t used his strength either. How did he become so strong?
..................
Fugaku didn’t dwell on it. After exiting the arena, he was surprised to see the guards had changed shifts. It was then that he realized it was lunchtime.
He shook his head, returned the scroll to the root base first, and then went to find Might Dai since Might Guy was still a kid.
Fugaku was left speechless by his attraction to the cleavage of female ninjas. He wondered if this was a weakness in his physique.
Despite his decent chakra control, which was based on imitating Tsunade’s ability, his proficiency was not as good compared to Tsunade's.
He pondered how to condense chakra faster for the second punch and when to release. If not for his super strength, he estimated he wouldn’t be able to compete with her in terms of strength.
"Don't come over here. Why are you Uchihas arresting me?"
A man in his thirties shouted out loud and pulled him out of his thoughts.
Akihiko smiled and read the paper warrant in his hand: "Drinking and causing trouble to neighbors; beating your wife; are your charges right? Take him away."
Two Uchiha clansmen were about to step forward to arrest him when the man suddenly picked up a stool.
"You want to arrest me? Go to the police department! What kind of joke is this? If you take one more step forward, believe it or not, I'll fight with a stool."
"These are the new regulations of the police department. The third clause states that for drinking and causing trouble, you only need to be detained for a few days and pay some fines.
The sixth clause states that if you attack a police officer and resist arrest, you face at least half a year in jail. Choose for yourself!" Akihiko said, unflustered. He smiled and handed over the warrant for the man to see, pointing at the sixth clause.
If it weren’t for the clan head’s regulations, they would have already subdued and taken away civilians without any nonsense.
"What? Attack police? Half a year in jail?" The man came to his senses when he read about half a year in jail.
Akihiko continued smiling: "Attacking a Konoha police officer is a serious crime. Are you going to comply or resist?"
The man was taken aback. He questioned the actions of the Uchiha police department. He had been a troublemaker in the past, but his misdeeds had always been swiftly resolved, often with nothing more than a simple compensation to the shop.
Now, he was being told that domestic violence was against the law. What was this talk about assaulting police officers? Was he really facing imprisonment and fines?
Fugaku observed the unfolding scene with a hint of amusement. The police department job seemed to have its perks!
Yes, that’s right, this was definitely not corruption; it was for the sake of Konoha’s public security.
"Clan head…"
"Clan head…."
Akihiko and two clansmen passed by Fugaku with the "criminal" and greeted him.
"Not bad, not bad. That’s how it’s done." Fugaku smiled and nodded, then patted the man on the shoulder and said, "Be kind with women in the future... It’s not a good thing to beat your wife."
