chapter 25
Episode 25-The Holy War (3)
At Lempria’s blow, Yahweh’s sword flew far away.
Obviously, the fact that the sword flew even though he was holding it with both hands meant that Yahweh’s power was not enough compared to Lempria’s.
“What is this…”
“Are you a weakling?”
Lempria slung her own spear over her shoulder.
Throughout her crusade for Lemfra, she has grown tremendously.
It wasn’t that her skill with the spear had gotten stronger.
Since she received her power from Lemfra every time she captured a village, she was able to become stronger at a rapid pace.
In the first place, God and Lemp were different.
Gat was regarded as the highest god in only a dozen villages, and in other villages it was considered to be a great god.
On the other hand, Lemp was worshiped as a creator god in 11 villages and was a god with such a high status that a festival dedicated to him was held once a year.
This difference created a difference in rank between the two gods, and the difference in rank between the gods turned into a difference in human strength.
“I was nervous when I first saw kids using bronze, but it’s really fortunate that their leader is a weakling like you.”
Lempriah slashed her spear at Yahweh.
-Kang!!
Lempria’s spear was blocked by a golden shield.
Her strong sense of repulsion made her push hard with both hands, but her shield wouldn’t budge.
“God!”
Realizing that his own god had saved his life, Yahweh knelt down.
[The author is the incarnation of the evil spirit. It’s not an opponent you can beat. Quickly step back and aim for others other than the incarnation.]
The gap between Lemfra and Gad was clear, and Gad was well aware of it, but he did not let Yahweh know that he was weak.
He said that the reason Yahweh, his apostle, is weaker than Lempria is because Lempria is an incarnation.
Her incarnation was of a higher rank than her apostle, so if Lempria was her incarnation, it wouldn’t be strange that Yahweh was weaker than her.
Yahweh quickly spread his knees and ran back.
“How can a coward, a man who hides behind God, serve God?”
Lempria did not pursue Yahweh.
Why?
‘Those guys are the ones who can’t be subdued anyway.’
Other gods were weak in faith and could be re -entered under Rempra, but the faith of God, called God, was quite powerful.
And since the god himself was quite powerful, he couldn’t capture them like he could capture other villages.
‘Goddess of Wisdom, Catria. What should I do?’
-Act as you wish. This holy war is also to prove your ability.
At the words of the goddess Catria, Lempria took her spear and walked in front of her.
“Everyone lift up your bow.”
At her one word, 100 archers lined up behind drew their bows.
Since the bow was not a weapon that could be learned in a short period of time, only 100 of the 200 she brought in initially could handle it.
“Shoot, kill all those who dare to stand in Lemfra’s way!”
The archers fired their arrows and a full-scale war began.
The war was very fierce.
The warriors of Lemfra had a powerful apostle named Lempria, but she was far outnumbered and made up for the thirteen with her bow, but even her opponents could throw stones.
Arrows and stones flew towards each other, and spears and swords pierced each other’s bodies.
“Look at the author! Wasn’t the messenger of God hiding behind the warriors and giving orders!”
In a small-scale war, one strong man can change the tide of battle.
Lempria was exactly that.
As she took the lead and broke the vanguard of her enemies, it was much easier for her other warriors to attack them.
Not only that, but Yahweh listened to Gad’s command and was in a hurry to protect himself, while Lempria, on the contrary, went deep into the enemy camp.
“The war will be won safely.”
Ifritia, the god of war, spoke softly.
“The opponent is too weak. It’s satisfying enough that a war of this magnitude has taken place at this time, but it’s a war that’s too short to unfold the greatness of Lempria.”
“We won the war, but we probably won’t be able to eat all of the north. We’ll just keep what we’ve eaten so far.”
At Lemfra’s words, Ifritia frowned and glared at him.
“What are you talking about? If you defeat the enemies here, there will be no soldiers left. If you keep pushing up, won’t there be any problem?”
“There is a certain level of stupidity.”
Katria spoke to Ifritia in a sarcastic tone.
When they first met, they rarely expressed dissatisfaction with each other, but as nearly 20 years passed, they changed into sisters who quarreled with each other.
After acting to fool the followers for 20 years, the relationship naturally changed, and they fought so often that watching them fight was one of Lemfra’s main duties.
“In war, winning doesn’t mean conquering the enemy. Perhaps by now, the North has defined us as an external enemy and is very tightly united. The soldiers who stop us are united under one god, Gad. Gad’s prestige will increase tremendously. It is easy to subdue the god of one village, but it is difficult to subjugate the god of many villages.
“So you’re giving up on the North?”
“It’s not that I’m giving up on the North. I’ve completely defeated the North with my strength, so now I have to subdue my opponent with the excellence of God.”
‘They’re having fun.’
No matter how much the two of them talk, in the end it is Lempria who will make the decision.
Whether Lempria wins the battle with Yahweh and continues to the north to forcibly suppress their god, or, like the story of Catria, slowly erodes the myth,
Which method to choose depends on the will of the human, Lempria.
“Whoa… Whoa… Whoa…”
In the center of the bloody battlefield, Lempria breathed heavily.
How many people did he kill?
Out of at least a thousand people, he seems to have killed at least a quarter of them alone, so he must have killed at least 200 with his own hands.
“Retreat! God says! Retreat!”
The moment the word retreat came out of Yahweh’s mouth, the difference between Lemfra and Gad was decided.
Now, even in their mythology, even though Lemp is an evil god, he will exist as a stronger god than God.
And the fact that a god is stronger than other gods would be a very reasonable reason to devour the hearts of other humans.
“What are you going to do? Are you going to catch up?”
Lempria’s younger brother, the imp, approached her and said.
There wasn’t a single drop of blood on his body, not because he only shot his bow from behind, but because the opponent’s blood moved elsewhere before it even got on his body.
“Okay. Leave it alone. What you need to disassemble the tightly packed ones is not a big, hard hammer, but a small, sharp needle.”
Lempria raised her spear and looked behind him.
Just as many enemies died, so many allies died.
My close friend whom I talked with until yesterday collapsed, and the faithful believer who joined from the village yesterday and wanted to atone for his sins also collapsed.
But Lempria didn’t blink and raised his spear high.
“We won.”
Then he put the window down.
He said as he approached those who were drenched in the madness of the battlefield and spitting out cheers.
“Our war is not over yet. The enemies have withdrawn, but we must make more efforts to spread the name of Lemfra, the creator god.”
“Okay!”
“””Okay!!”””
As the imp sang beside Lempria, all the soldiers followed and screamed.
“For now, go back to the village and get some rest. It’s enough to clean up the body tomorrow.”
As she walked to her village, the warriors of her god followed her.
****
Three months have passed since the great war between the two gods ended.
Those who had fallen under Gad’s command thought that the enemy would come again as many people had died in the war, but they only consolidated their influence in the villages they had already ruled and did not seem to think of going north again.
“Honey, did you hear that?”
“What do you mean?”
A man asked his wife as he prepared for the harvest.
“Lempra in the South…”
“Yeah! You want to get arrested for saying that? Don’t even mention that name!”
At the woman’s words, the man shouted loudly.
Lemp is a symbol of evil.
If you called his name incorrectly, you might be beaten to death by the villagers.
“Anyway, the evil god. They said it wasn’t as evil as I thought.”
“Stop talking nonsense and do your job.”
“Listen to me.”
Hearing the young wife’s charming voice, the man sat next to the woman as if he couldn’t help it.
The myth of Lemfra was slowly spreading across the North.
