I am an Alien in another reality.

Chapter 70: This Is My Home World

A burst of energy rippled through space as Alex, Luna, and Arwen materialized inside his private villa in Los Angeles.

Alex snapped his fingers, and an unseen force swept across the world, restoring the natural flow of time in his original universe.

"Welcome, Luna," Alex said with a smile, turning toward the wide-eyed witch. "This is my home world, where I was born and where I met Lily, who gave me the power to travel between worlds."

"Yup, that's me!" Lily puffed up her tiny chest smugly, fluttering in the air.

"Amazing," Luna whispered, gazing around. "Are there wizards here too?"

Alex shook his head. "No, this world develops through science."

Curious, Luna explored the villa as Alex demonstrated modern appliances, touchscreen panels, automated security systems, voice-activated assistants, and entertainment hubs.

"This is very cool," Luna said, giving Alex a thumbs-up. "Very advanced."

Alex chuckled. "Oh no, this is way behind compared to where we'll be heading next."

Intrigued by his cryptic remark, Luna followed as Alex teleported her, Arwen, and Lily to the Sahara Sanctuary. Greeted by the cheerful fairies, Lily squealed as she greeted her friends, whom she had not seen in a long time.

"Come, Luna, let me show you a few of the animals I collected during my travels with Alex." Arwen eagerly took Luna's hand, leading her through the sanctuary.

The landscape already resembled a fairy garden, filled with animals frolicking about. Arwen had chosen some creatures, which Alex recreated based on the colony he built for the elves from the Orville universe.

While they settled in, Alex turned his attention to personal matters.

First, Alex contacted the Law Firm his father once used, for the transfer of ownership of his family's ranch to Uncle Clyde and Aunt Helen as a surprise gift. Next, he initiated the sale of two properties in Louisiana and Alaska, liquidating assets he no longer needed.

Finally, using the three banks holding his wealth, he set into motion the purchase of Castle Ruddervoorde in Belgium, an ancient fortress with a rich history.

He first saw this castle during his travels with Harry in the wizarding world and greatly admired it. Though not as grand as a palace, with a few touch-ups using his power, it would be good enough for him to stay in whenever he was in his home universe.

These transactions would take time, but Alex had no need to worry. Money worked for him, and the wheels of bureaucracy would turn at his command.

By evening, the trio reunited at the villa, where Alex had arranged for a renowned Chinese chef to prepare a feast. The table was filled with fragrant Chinese dishes, Peking duck, dumplings, hot pot, and more.

Luna marveled at the flavors. "Yummy!"

"Right?" Lily chimed in as she buried her head in a plate full of food.

"Eat more. I'll bring you somewhere amazing later," Alex said with a smile.

"Dear, we should try other Asian dishes next," Arwen said as she carefully bit into a soup dumpling.

"Yeah, let's do that. A trip around the world some other time, what do you say?"

Arwen smiled at him. "That would be great too."

Luna watched their interaction with a twinkle in her eyes. Although she was still young, she knew that family should be like this.

After dinner, Alex finally took them to space.

A flash of light transported them to Mars orbit, where the Evenstar, Alex's personal General-class starship, awaited. The massive vessel hovered against the backdrop of the Red Planet, its hull gleaming under the distant sun.

Luna gasped at the sheer size of the warship. "We're… in space?"

"Yeah, you can explore the ship with Sister Arwen," Alex nodded as the elven crew snapped to attention.

Captain Mageeve, a well-built elf with a commanding presence, stepped forward and saluted.

"Your Excellency, welcome aboard," Mageeve said, his voice deep and steady. As one of Alex's chosen commanders, he possessed a rare telepathic ability, allowing him to communicate with other elves within a light-year radius.

"At ease," Alex replied. "Give me a report."

Mageeve nodded. "We've completed long-range scans of the surrounding star systems. We've detected two low-level civilizations, one 4.378 light-years away and another 1,300 light-years away."

Lily, still perched on Alex's shoulder, smirked. "Oh, I know them! Right, Alex?"

Alex glanced at her. "I see." In truth, he had already sensed them during his mental outburst before.

One of the captains added, "Compared to us, they are primitive, but they are thousands of years ahead of Earth's current technology."

Alex considered for a moment before issuing his orders. "Send an exploratory vessel to each star system to collect data. In the meantime, descend the rest of the fleet to Mars."

"Understood," the captains saluted and returned to their respective ships.

As the Evenstar adjusted its position, Luna stood by the viewing deck, staring at the vastness of space.

Alex walked up beside her. "See? More advanced, right?"

Luna exhaled, her eyes reflecting the endless void beyond. "Yeah… very scary and amazing at the same time."

The ships descended through Mars' thin atmosphere, scanning the desolate surface. Meanwhile, two exploratory vessels initiated their jumps to the neighboring star systems.

In the captain's quarter, Alex stood on a table watching the scan result of the surface.

"Maybe I'll just build a base and hide it instead of terraforming the whole planet," Alex mused, studying a holographic projection of Mars' terrain.

Arwen hugged his waist from behind. "It's up to you, my king, as long as you're happy."

"Is Luna asleep?" Alex asked as he clasped her hands.

"Yeah. How about Lily?"

"She's in Mín Heimr," Alex replied before turning to his wife, and pulling her into his arms.

As the lights dimmed, the soft moans of pleasure and heavy breathing echoed through the captain's quarters, while the Evenstar hovered above the surface of the Red Planet.
