I am a pill container in the mage world

Chapter 56: Destroy

The secret weapon.

Found more than 100 million years ago, the gods were so afraid that they handed it to the god of secrets, who, in turn, hid it in a place not known by anyone.

It can do many things, but its true potential lies in its one-time use ability: 'tear off.'

'Tear off' is what made them terrified. As long as it gets activated, heaven would be torn off from the mage world and hell, becoming an independent world!

Many gods, like the god of kindness, joy, goodness, and the skies, were against anything that went against the creators' wishes.

For this reason, God of Secrets was hesitant about whether to seek a vote. The law requires him to ask for a vote, but he would definitely be outvoted.

The gods of magic, war, and Calculations might vote for him, but the Gods of Connections, Kindness, Joy, Goodness, and Sea would most likely vote against him.

God of skies is a tossup.

With those five against, the best outcome is 5-5, which the side god of kindness votes prevails.

"It's a matter of life and death; I can't act dumb here!" he thought.

He took a deep breath and pulled out the secret weapon.

It was shaped like an old bronze coin, appearing quite ordinary, as powerful treasures often do.

Ironically, as treasures become stronger, their appearance becomes more commonplace.

"To use its ultimate ability, you must break it!" he recalled the instructions.

He had already made up his mind, so without hesitation, he broke it.

With the support of the space formations in heaven, the heavens broke off!

...

"Great!" thought Alys, who had received permission to use more powerful methods that might cause some damage to the world.

But suddenly, everything shook violently!

"What's going on?" she thought.

She cast a rank 12 spell to observe.

As a result of this spell, tremendous pressure was placed on the world's laws, but there was no noticeable damage.

"Where is heaven?" she looked with astonishment. It was as if it didn't exist!

Heaven, with its space and tributary of time, disappeared!

Alys swallowed her saliva.

"This is bad! Terrible! They should have reset the world when they had the chance!" She cursed the headquarters.

With heaven gone, she is unsure whether reset is even possible anymore.

She contacted the headquarters and reported everything. "What? Heaven split off and is gone?" Oll was greatly surprised.

This situation never happened in other worlds infected by Rachel.

"Yeah, what should I do?"

Oll sighed and answered, "Leave! That world is no longer worth the effort!"

From the beginning, resetting the world was not worth it.

Everything has costs, and the total cost of resetting the world would be more than it earns. Because in resets, you cannot truly fix a world's loopholes; you can only patch them.

Usually, the patches would be enough to keep out outsiders, but nowadays, with Rachel, it's a foolish thing to do.

They were obligated to eliminate Rachel even if it cost more. But still, they were reluctant.

Sure, it costs more, but it also damages Rachel.

If everyone did it, then Rachel would lose and will not be able to get stronger.

But, in secret, many civilizations were unwilling to accept higher costs.

With heaven gone, Great Dream now has a good excuse not to reset.

Reset means restoring the original setting. How can you do it when a big chunk is missing? Fixing it would cost far more than creating a new world from scratch.

As for destroying it, they will eventually do it, with help from others.

They can't destroy it in a way that makes debris. It needs to be done carefully. There are many treaties about this.

If they are not careful, the debris in the open space might collide with worlds. Then, more debris would be created and, in turn, hit more worlds.

It's a grave matter that everyone is careful about.

"Sir, Rachel will take over the world if I leave! Please allow me to purge her before leaving!" she said.

"No!" answered Oll.

Purging the world with high-rank spells risks destabilizing it to the point it might be destroyed.

"But collect samples. I want to know how Rachel infiltrated the world," Oll added.

Destroying the world must be done carefully, but collecting samples is acceptable if it doesn't damage the laws too much.

Oll isn't worried this one world makes Rachel any stronger.

She already controls countless rank 12 worlds, so one weak, crippled rank 11 world makes no difference.

"Yes," Alys didn't insist anymore.

The call ended.

"Damn!" she was upset.

...

Bertha looked around with a nostalgic expression.

"I'm finally back!" she thought.

She arrived where the wood elves used to be, but they were gone! A city built by humans now stood in its place!

"What?" she thought, with rage.

...

Terry country was in its most prosperous stage!

Many years ago, they finally invaded the Wood Elf territory and expelled everyone. With their Humans' superior weapons, the Wood Elves were quickly defeated, with all their warriors dying.

A lot changed after that incident that year.

The Wood Elves began to be seen as savages—dirty, naked, and wild. After the battle, Soldiers from Terry's country forced them to wear clothes, but the overwhelming majority chose to die rather than wear clothes. After countless casualties, Terry country finally decided that Wood elves were too different from the human population, so they were all deported.

As for where they went, no one cared.

The people of Terry's country would not have accepted this treatment of non-humans if it wasn't for that incident many years ago.

After that incident, the Great Terry Party won a few elections in a row and decided that elections were pointless.

The people have chosen them a few times in a Row, so why waste money on elections? Now, Terry's country is a dictatorship that doesn't care about the short-term wishes of its people.

Instead, it plans carefully with the help of 'experts' about really long-term goals that are good for the country.

The situation in the country is excellent! It's more prosperous than ever, with people appearing happy, loyal, and obedient. Sometimes, a few might get corrupted by non-human propaganda, but they will be caught and executed to maintain societal order.

For the Greater Good.

As for the backward non-humans, after expelling the wood elves, the leadership of Terry Country decided that the non-humans were too incompatible with society.

Typically, they would have deported them, but it just so happened that Terry's country was short of a cheap workforce, so they enslaved them all.

After all, for the savage non-humans, helping the great humans should be considered an honor, according to a speech by the prime minister.

By the way, to prevent further trouble and corruption, they castrated all non-human men. As for women, they could still be used to give birth to human children.

The human children born to non-human mothers were placed in state-run orphanages.

From a young age, they were trained with the excellent skills of Terry's country and became highly productive members of society once they grew up.

Many of the 'experts' today were born to non-human mothers.

These days, the military of Terry's country is powerful. They can crush any external or internal enemy, making it the strongest military power among all nations.

While the economic power might not be as strong as in the past, the military is the only thing that matters to the proud people of Terry's country.

Everything was going great, except for a few issues like drought, people dying from hunger and thirst, widespread famine, broken infrastructure, and some children not knowing how to read.

...

Bertha was crying.

She was not the crying type, but now, she was extremely sad.

"It's my fault!" she felt very guilty.

She quickly found out what happened to the Wood Elves.

Her first reaction was to look for those who were deported. She might not have been this sad if she found them, but what she learned broke her.

They were all killed almost immediately once they left Terry's country. There's no need to say who did it.

Maybe the leaders of Terry's country felt it was unwise to let the people they had just destroyed go, fearing they might return for revenge later.

So, they killed them in secret.

From their perspective, it was a necessary evil.

Ordinary citizens might not be farsighted enough to realize it, but the higher-ups knew better. They were wiser, capable of going about things without regard for morals or right and wrong.

According to the higher-ups of Terry country, morals would make a country weak.

But Bertha didn't think they were wise.

They couldn't have been more stupid.

"I'll rip you to pieces!" she gritted her teeth.

She is a rank 5 Knight and a rank 3 mage! For her, it's not hard to destroy the entire continent.

She would have never done this if it were before. She has never killed anyone, even till today. But now, she can only see blood.

She jumped and disappeared, heading first toward the city built in the Wood Elves' forest.

...

Wood City was a newly built city. It was prosperous like all cities in Terry's kingdom, with only half of the population being homeless.

Over two-thirds of the population had at least one meal Per Day! The Mayor took great pride in this accomplishment. According to Him, most people in surrounding countries are dying of hunger.

Most people were born recently, and books were destroyed, so ordinary people could not know whether it was true. But how could the Mayor lie? It seemed impossible!

Everyone who suggested such a thing was made an example of.

Doubting those in power was not a crime, but stating it aloud and causing chaos in the country was.

Don't get it wrong.

Terry's country had freedom of speech.

If you wanted to say something, you could do so in the privacy of your home. However, outside of your home, you had to be responsible.

According to the Minister of Free Speech, this was called "responsible speech," the highest and best form of free speech.

In some savage countries, people could say anything they wanted out loud and cause chaos, making people's lives difficult, according to a famous speech by the Minister of Free Speech.

Everyone was going about their wonderful lives, but suddenly, the ground shook!

Then, a shout rang out: "Bastards!" Followed by the loud sounds of buildings being destroyed.

The police were dispatched, but no one who went there returned.

Many people began to run, but most sought shelter in their houses.

These people had no idea what a Wood Elf was, so they had no clue who might be attacking.

Some thought it might be one of those savage countries, so they began arming themselves, ready to fight.

After a few moments, Bertha reached the city center.

Now, she had a choice: to kill all or not to harm the innocent.

She chose an option in between.

"Everyone, if you want to live, run!" she shouted in the language of Terry's country.

It was so loud that all the windows in the nearby buildings nearly broke.

She then moved around and shouted, ensuring that everyone heard her. It was to give everyone an opportunity. If they didn't take it, they could only blame themselves.

This city must be destroyed, even worse, reduced to rubble. It's the ancestral land of the Wood Elves and must remain undeveloped as the Wood Elves wanted.

Although, right now, Bertha wanted to 'undevelop' the entire Terry Kingdom.

After a few hours, she began.

Her strength was beyond imagination, with even mountains unable to withstand her punches. Just imagine what happened to a shaky building.

Boom!

After just half an hour, the entire city was reduced to rubble.

It was unknown how many had died and how many had managed to escape.

Allowing them to run was already something humans had denied the Wood Elves, so Bertha didn't have a shred of sadness for those who had lost their homes or, worse, their lives.

She deeply believed in taking revenge, and this was only the beginning!
