Hyuga in Attack on Titan

Chapter 43: Please be less reckless (43)

Akira slowly opened his eyes, he was so dam tired he could not even move his body right, he felt like he had drained every ounce of energy from his body...Guess using the byakugan for 3 hours straight none stop alongside having to save so many people push his reserves to their limits.

He felt hungry, he wanted something satisfying to eat.

He looks down only to see a half-awake Krista sitting near the bed and laying on his chest.

Upon feeling him moving, Krista fully opened her eyes.

"Akira, you awake!" She said sounding extremely glad, she hugged him so tightly that he felt like she was crushing his ribs.

Jeez her grip felt strong, it was either that or because currently, his chakra reserves were low and thus not reinforcing his body, and thus he was weaker.

This was probably the explanation, which still wouldn't explain why she was so freakishly strong.

"You are squeezing" Akira barely managed to let out, Krista upon realizing this let go of Akira saying.

"Sorry"

"No need to apologize," Akira said as he gazed across the room, what seemed to be a plate of food was right next to her.

"How long was I out for" Akira said in a slightly tired voice, his chakra reserves were at an all-time low, and he needed to eat something, if chakra was like life energy then he would say his chakra was like the energy he had in his body.

You know the energy that gets created when fat gets burned or when you eat some food, Akira had done none of those options since he had passed out.

Sure some fat was burned but not enough to recover his chakra reserves, and as for nutrients, he felt like it's been a while since he had eaten anything.

"You have been out for 14 days," Krista said looking at him.

Akira was stunned, he had passed out for 14 days, did he eat anything during that time?

He now realized why she was so worried about him, after all, he would also be quite worried about her if she had passed out for like 3 days, much less 14.

He could see that her eyes were a bit puffy.

"I am sorry, I made you cry," He said in a gentle voice, he gazed at Krista making sure to keep eye contact as he did so.

She leaned into his embrace and held him close.

"It's fine....70% of the cadet survived because of you, you did good," She said as she snuggled her face into his chest.

"You not happy about it are you" He could tell she wasn't really happy about this whole situation.

"Watching you rush into the frontline like this, putting your life on the line, it hurt, I don't want to lose you"

This sounded like a fear that was based on something, what made her think that he was going to die.

"Why would you think that?" Akira asked confusion clearly evident on his face.

"Captain Kitz Woermann wanted to have you executed for treason and...daring to accuse him of fleeing the battlefield"

Akira's frown deepened, that bastard...though he was still alive, activating his byakugan for just a second, he saw no guards anywhere near where he was staying.

Considering all of this he was guessing that the man's plan did not go through.

"Luckily, the people on the refueling station took your side and explained how Captain Kitz abandoned them, all the cadets and the elites that stayed behind argued in your defense saying that without you they would be dead..." Krista added, well it seemed like it ended well.

"The Garrison however needed to save face and wanted for you to at least face a punishment.....your incredible visual prowest however got the attention of Commander Erwin"

"So it ended fine right?" he said with a wry look on his face.

She punched his chest frustrated.

"Those decisions took days to be made, I had to stand there powerless as the fate of the person I love the most was being decided without me being unable to do anything about it!" She said sounding extremely frustrated.

"Please...don't be reckless, please be more careful, for me please," She said with a soft expression on her face.

"I will try"

She looked at him with a pouty glare as if she wanted him to say it.

His belly grumbled...the sound of a famine man could be heard.

"Humm, mind feeding me, I don't have that much energy," he said calmly.

"..S...s..su..sure," She said stuttering just a bit, she took a bit of the warm soup, and blew over it before gently feeding it to him.

"Say Ha"

"Ha"

He was quite obedient, well who cared, he was being fed by her so that a win in his book, the food tasted 10 times better when she was the one feeding it to him.

As his body begins to break down the food and take the nutrients from it, his chakra reserves begin to replenish once again.

They were replenished at an incredible rate.

He would protect her...no matter.
