HxH: Noah’s Heart

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Improvement X Magic Daggers

Both of them arrived at the place where Noah usually trained, and at this moment, Tsubone and Amane were no longer there.

"I heard that you've been training separately. Let me see what you're capable of."

Ashu stood opposite Noah, his eyes filled with determination.

Separate training?

So, it turns out he wasn't training alone. Right, it seemed that Gatoh had mentioned that only he had qualified as a butler. It seemed this guy was quite skilled.

Noah stared at Ashu, a thought flashing through his mind, and then he spoke, "I also want to see what you're capable of, having stood out among the majority."

"You'll see," Ashu said, and without warning, he appeared in front of Noah, launching his fists toward him like missiles.

Impressive speed, but…

Compared to Tsubone, he was far behind!

With a casual movement, Noah easily evaded Ashu's attack.

Seeing Noah dodge his initial strike, Ashu didn't seem to mind. He adjusted his position and continued to attack Noah.

However, all of Ashu's subsequent attacks were effortlessly dodged or blocked by Noah.

I have indeed grown much stronger.

It was at this moment that Noah thought to himself.

Ashu's attacks were fierce, and his speed and strength were impeccable in the eyes of an ordinary person.

But to Noah, who had trained under Tsubone for three months, they were far from enough.

Considering that Noah had received one-on-one instruction, while Ashu had been trained in a group, the difference in their training effects was clear.

Thinking about this, Noah couldn't help but sigh again.

Separate training was indeed effective.

Smack!

With his left palm, Noah casually pushed away Ashu's arm, and then he stepped forward, delivering a punch to Ashu's abdomen.

There was a muffled sound as Ashu was pushed back several meters by Noah's punch.

"What's the matter?"

Looking at his own hand and then at Ashu, who was clutching his stomach and getting up, Noah said.

Noah wasn't sure if Ashu had learned Ken and Ryu, but from the blow just now, he judged that Ashu had used Ken to gather aura in his abdomen to block his attack.

"Phew." Over there, Ashu let out a breath, glanced at Noah's fist, and thought to himself.

In a straightforward physical brawl, I'm no longer his match. His aura is much stronger than mine. I don't know how he trained, but the outcome between Nen users can't be determined solely by aura; ability matters too!

Determined in his heart, Ashu suddenly extended both hands, and as he gathered aura in his hands, two jet-black daggers appeared in his palms.

Daggers? Is this a Conjuration ability?

Seeing this scene, Noah immediately became alert.

Having the Assassin's Note, he knew better than anyone that when facing Nen users whose abilities he hadn't seen or learned about, he needed to be extremely cautious; otherwise, he might suffer a great loss.

"This is my ability, Dagger Magic. I happen to like daggers very much." He rotated the daggers between his fingers like windmills, forming a black tornado, and Ashu smiled excitedly.

"Dagger Magic? If I'm not mistaken, it should be a Conjuration ability?" Although the Assassin's Note wasn't currently useful, it didn't hurt to gather some relevant information.

That way, if he ever faced Ashu again in the future, he could have an absolute advantage.

Ashu had no idea about the secret behind Noah's words. He had only recently developed his own ability, and he nodded directly, saying, "You guessed it right. But it depends on whether you can guess what kind of ability it is."

With that said, the two spinning daggers were reversed in Ashu's palm and thrown towards Noah.

Daggers, huh?

Noah recalled the time when Ashu used a throwing dagger during the running assessment, forcing him to hide in the nearby woods.

It was fortunate that he engaged in a struggle with another person, which allowed him to seize the opportunity and surpass both of them.

If not for that, he might have been eliminated at that time. His luck was quite good back then.

This guy really seems to like daggers, even materializing his ability as daggers.

With this in mind, Noah gracefully sidestepped, easily avoiding the two dark daggers thrown at him.

Seeing Noah effortlessly evade his thrown daggers, Ashu's face showed no sign of frustration but instead a hint of a smirk.

The two dark daggers, after passing by Noah in mid-air, drew an elegant black arc as if drifting and then reversed direction, flying back towards Noah. Moreover, their flight speed increased!

"Hmm?"

Seeing this scene, Noah realized that these daggers might not be so simple.

Generally, Conjurers' materialized weapons came with special abilities. Now it seemed that these daggers could track people?

"Guess what! What effect do you think these daggers have?" Ashu on the other side, seeing Noah evade again, couldn't help but wear a smug smile.

Seeing the daggers drift again in mid-air and flying back towards him, Noah furrowed his brow.

It really seemed to be tracking-type. Did he have no choice but to take the hit? No, who knew what strange ability those daggers had? What if they hit the target and forcibly sent them into a dire state?

There should be a way around it. If it's tracking, there must be something attracting them.

Avoiding the flying daggers once more, Noah's mind raced, and a stream of aura gathered in his eyes.

Gyo!

As aura concentrated on his eyes, Noah quickly noticed that on his shoulder, there were two tiny, nail-sized spheres formed from condensed aura, sticking to his body.

Just as he suspected!

They were probably attached to him during their close combat just now.

Recalling the close fight with Ashu a moment ago, Noah immediately identified the source of these two small spheres.

Seeing the two daggers flying towards him again, Noah's lips curled into a smirk.

He gathered aura on his fingertips, flicking them, and sent the two small spheres, which had been clinging to his shoulder, flying away.

As the flying daggers lost the two small spheres that served as their markers, this time, instead of changing direction, they flew a few meters forward before dropping to the ground.
