HunterxHunter: Reborn With Crazy Potential

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: HeavensxDeparture

As the meeting comes to a close, a tense quiet fills the room. The weight of the decisions that have been made lingers, and everyone knows the time has come for us to leave. There's no more talk of what will happen, only what must be done.

I rise from my seat, my gaze sweeping over the group one last time before the departure. The room is quieter than usual, the hum of tension palpable as everyone prepares themselves for what's to come. The reality of our year-long journey sets in, and I can feel the mixed emotions in the air. The gravity of leaving the family behind, but the sense of purpose and duty that we've all been called to, is undeniable.

"All right," I say, my voice steady but carrying the weight of finality. "This is it. We're leaving in an hour, and we won't be back for a while. You all know what's at stake, and I trust you to hold things down while we're gone." I glance at Nicholas, who's now standing by the door. He gives a short nod, his face serious.

The family members stand, each one moving to offer a final exchange of words before the journey ahead. The air is thick with unspoken emotions some are relieved to get started, while others are unsure of what the next year will bring. I walk over to Evelyn first, who's now standing by the table, her arms folded as she looks me over.

"You take care of things while we're gone," I say, my voice low. "Don't let them forget who we are."

Evelyn gives me a small but confident smile. "I've got it. Go, get whatever you need, and come back without a scratch. We'll take care of the rest."

I nod, feeling reassured. She has a knack for keeping the peace and ensuring things run smoothly.

Then I move to Sebastian, who's now standing near the corner, a rare flicker of uncertainty passing through his usually focused eyes. "You've got the defenses covered, and that's crucial. Don't let anyone get too comfortable. If they do, we'll be the ones who suffer. Feel free to contact me if you need help or if you're planning a raid on another family."

Sebastian meets my gaze, his sharp expression softening for a brief moment. "Understood. I'll handle it. You just focus on what you need to do. We'll hold the fort here."

I offer him a quick nod before moving toward Hanzo and Ponzu. They're both standing together, their eyes sharp, their bodies ready. It's clear that they're the most prepared for this journey, their own leadership growing ever more necessary with every passing day.

"Stay close," I tell them, my tone firm but filled with trust. "We've got a year ahead of us, and I expect you both to be in top shape by the end of it. Heaven Arena is brutal for non-Nen users, but it'll be your proving ground Ponzu. You need to be ready for anything."

Hanzo frowns, his face contorting into a confused expression. "Wait why not me? Why did you only say Ponzu?" Ponzu nods silently, the ever-steady partner to Hanzo's more vocal nature.

I walk out of the meeting room, the steel doors sliding shut behind me with a soft hiss, and as we enter I glance around the room, where the family is starting to trickle out, their steps heavy but determined. Evelyn is already talking to some of the higher-ups, strategizing the coming weeks. Sebastian is walking through the corridors, checking on the state of our defenses, and probably mentally mapping out each step. Nicholas is conversing with a few trusted members, outlining the specifics of his new role and the tasks ahead.

The rest of the group has gathered their things, silently preparing to see us off. They know what this means the next year will be about survival, strength, and testing loyalty. They'll be responsible for keeping the family's presence intact while I'm away. I trust them to do it, but there's always that nagging thought in the back of my mind.

The rest of the family follows, and we all move toward the ladder that will take us out into Meteor City. Our destination lies ahead, but there's one final stop before we can start our journey preparing our training schedules for the year.

The trip to Heaven Arena is long, and the atmosphere is charged with focus. Each of us is preparing for the rigorous training ahead, knowing that the competition at Heaven Arena won't push any of us to our limits so I need to train them extra hard.

Evelyn pulls up a tablet screen and starts to display the training regimen, mapped out to ensure that every day counts.

"Here's the schedule you asked for boss," she announces, as we all gather around. "It's intense, but it'll prepare the recruits for everything." Her voice calm, and professional.

Training will consist of four main sections physical conditioning, combat arts, strategy and teamwork, and mental discipline.

Under the caption Physical Training it says, "Each day starts with a two-hour training session designed to push the body to its maximum limits. Cardio, strength, agility drills, and endurance tests. Every morning will begin with a high-intensity circuit to build strength and stamina, followed by martial arts conditioning to sharpen reflexes and fight readiness."

Under the caption Combat Arts, it states, "The second part of the day will focus on refining fighting skills. You'll work through different combat techniques strikes, grapples, weapon training, and strategic fighting. The objective is to be adaptable in every scenario, from unarmed brawls to combat with weapons in the field."

The words under the caption Strategy and Teamwork declare, "Afternoons will be dedicated to honing your strategic minds. This section will focus on decision-making under pressure, real-time tactical training, and team coordination. You'll simulate different combat situations and practice different formations and moves."

And lastly, under the caption Mental Discipline it says, "Every evening will end with a focus on mental fortitude. You'll engage in meditation, tactical simulations, and psychological endurance exercises. Nen is a test of willpower, adaptability, and intelligence, to be considered a master and top-tier fighter you must be adaptable with unbreaking will."

As my floating saucer cuts through the sky, I feel the weight of the events ahead. Events that I want to take part of. We won't just survive this next year. We will dominate.
