Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Naturally Weak Presence!
Zebro removed his coat, revealing his well-defined muscles.
He struck a fighting pose in front of the old man and the young man.
"Bring it on!"
The expressions of both the old man and the young man grew serious as they charged at him.
In the next moment, they were sent flying backward.
Kaizen watched, silent.
Of course, he knew that the old man and the young man were no match for Zebro. Though Zebro served as Mika's cleaner, he was still a member of the Zoldyck Manor and had the power to open the door to the trials. In Heavens Arena, he could even reach the 200th floor.
However, Kaizen hadn't anticipated that the old man and the young man would lose so quickly.
"Pfft!"
The young man spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed.
The old man wasn't in much better shape.
"Let's go back," Zebro said, shaking his head.
With great effort, the old man managed to stand, lifting the young man onto his back, and hurried down the mountain, not daring to linger at the entrance of Zoldyck Manor for even a moment.
They moved as quickly as they could.
"Beep beep!"
A car horn blared, drawing Kaizen's gaze to the road leading up the hill. A bus appeared, filled with passengers.
After the driver parked, he didn't exit the vehicle. Instead, he rolled down the window, took out a cigarette, and lit it. He inhaled deeply, exhaling smoke rings into the air and flicking the ashes out the window.
A tour guide stepped out of the bus, leading a group of tourists while explaining the sights around them.
Kaizen blended in among the tourists, keeping his expression neutral. No one paid him any mind.
At that moment, Kaizen suppressed his aura and entered a state of extreme focus.
The driver surveyed the tourists. Years ago, when he first visited, he had found the area fascinating. But with time, that fascination faded.
Several tourists approached the main gate of Zoldyck family, trying to push it open, but it didn't budge.
Their strength was simply too weak.
Zebro watched but didn't intervene.
"Alright, everyone, it's almost time to head back down," the tour guide announced. "It'll be difficult to navigate the mountain road later."
One by one, the tourists boarded the bus, and Kaizen joined them in the crowd.
Amidst their chatter, one voice rose above the rest.
"This Zoldyck family is truly majestic. The walls and gates alone surpass those of ordinary buildings."
"But I have a question," another tourist interjected.
"What's that?"
"Zoldyck family openly announces its location and has become a tourist spot, so many people know about it. Aren't they worried?"
"Worried about what?"
"Of course, they must be concerned about someone sneaking into their manor."
Many shared this doubt.
This was Zoldyck estate, after all. Such a grand estate would surely harbor vast wealth. Coupled with the Zoldyck family's notorious reputation, there would undoubtedly be plenty of challengers seeking to prove themselves. The title of the world's greatest assassin family attracted many people and organizations, leading to numerous high-quality assassination commissions.
"Because they're strong enough!" the driver replied.
"Strong enough?"
"That's right." The driver continued, "In recent years, I've heard of many people wanting to sneak into Zoldyck estaate or challenge its residents. There are all kinds of powerful fighters among them—some who have reached extremely high floors in Heavens Arena, others who run dojos and are already considered masters, and quite a few notorious criminals."
"And?"
"But none of them succeeded," the driver said, his tone grim. "Those who were lucky enough to leave did so injured, while the unlucky ones... well, they never left at all. Even the most ordinary staff members in Zoldyck Manor are incredibly strong!"
A heavy silence fell over the bus.
Some had previously entertained the idea of challenging the Zoldycks, but after hearing that even dojo masters and top-tier criminals had failed, they quickly abandoned the thought.
"But can such a large manor really be impenetrable? Are there no loopholes at all?" a young man asked, still unwilling to concede.
The driver glanced back. "I can't say for sure, but over the years, no one has ever succeeded. Perhaps it's just bad luck for them. Maybe you'll be luckier."
The young man's expression darkened as he regarded the driver with suspicion.
Kaizen sat quietly, his eyes slightly narrowed.
Beside him, a woman lay across her seat. When the bus quieted down, she finally noticed him.
"Hey, kid, are you in our car?" she asked, surprised. "I didn't see you get on. Where are your parents?"
Kaizen shook his head. "I came here alone, unaccompanied. I boarded the sightseeing bus after my parents left me behind. I have a characteristic: I have a weak presence."
The woman pondered this for a moment before exclaiming, "That explains it! I didn't notice you earlier. But it's still dangerous for you to be alone. Do you want me to take you home once we're back down the mountain? If you trust me, of course."
