Hunter X Hunter: The Strongest Assassin Of The Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 123: Chapter 123: Laziness: I'm Excited!

Carlisle hated Gluttony to the extreme right now. He felt no sympathy for Gluttony's death, frankly, there had never been any real friendship between them.

To enlist Gluttony's help, Carlisle had paid a steep price. His goal was simple: get Gluttony to kill Kaizen, then take Lina away and somehow regain his lost abilities. As it stood, he had no chance of retaking his spot as the Floor Master of Heavens Arena. But if he could restore his abilities, he might still secure a foothold in the criminal underworld. Perhaps, with enough effort, he could even join the Shadow Beasts.

Yet, everything was falling apart in ways he hadn't anticipated.

Gluttony was dead.

He had no hope of killing Kaizen on his own.

And now, a new threat—a powerful Specialist—had entered the scene.

"It's all because of Gluttony!" Carlisle cursed, sprinting away without daring to look back.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him.

"Carlisle?"

He looked up, eyes widening at the sight of a woman. She was stunningly beautiful, dressed in a flowing purple gown that swept the ground. Her long black hair cascaded down past her waist, giving her an air of serene elegance. And yet, there was an unmistakable laziness in her gaze.

"Lady Laziness!" Carlisle stammered, shocked.

"Gluttony's dead," he blurted.

Laziness's expression grew serious as she scrutinized him. "Dead? Explain."

"Yes," Carlisle confirmed, panic creeping into his voice. "When Lord Gluttony was on his way, he encountered a Beast Nen user. This Beast was incredibly strong—it dominated the fight and forced Lord Gluttony into a defensive stance. But then, out of nowhere, his head exploded."

Carlisle shuddered, reliving the horror. "The Beast looked ready to kill me, so I had no choice but to escape."

Laziness's eyes narrowed, considering the situation. "A Specialist with a Beast Nen that could kill Gluttony, and cause his head to burst? Where did this person come from? Did you provoke them?"

Carlisle shook his head emphatically. "No, no, Lady Laziness! How could I provoke someone so powerful? This person was after Gluttony specifically. They only appeared after Gluttony arrived. I'd never seen them before."

"Hmm…really?" she questioned, her tone skeptical.

"I swear it, Lady Laziness! How could I deceive you?"

"Take me to where it happened," she commanded.

"But…" Carlisle hesitated.

"Is there a problem?" Laziness's face remained impassive.

"Being able to defeat Gluttony doesn't mean they can defeat me. I'm much stronger than Gluttony," she said calmly. "Besides, it's not so easy to kill him."

Carlisle's eyes widened in shock. Not so easy to kill him? But his head…

Still, he couldn't disobey her order. "Yes, Lady Laziness," he muttered, resigned. Ignoring her command could get him killed on the spot.

As they moved, Carlisle's thoughts raced. Gluttony may have been brutal, but at least he was manageable. Laziness, on the other hand, is unpredictable—a pure madwoman. No telling when she'll turn on you.

Meanwhile, Kaizen watched them from a surveillance feed. He spotted Carlisle returning, accompanied by Laziness.

"That aura…" Kaizen frowned. "It's as intense as Gluttony's. Looks like they're allies."

Turning to Altan, he gave an order. "Run a search on her face. Check the criminal database."

Not long after, Altan's search results confirmed his suspicion: Laziness was indeed another high-ranking member of the underworld, just like Gluttony.

Kaizen glanced back at the screen. Carlisle was ignored by Raiken, who had his attention focused on Laziness.

"Whoosh!" Laziness lunged forward, her hand raised in a sharp chop toward Raiken's neck, her nails gleaming like razors.

Raiken took a quick step back, countering with a right uppercut.

"What speed!" Kaizen muttered, watching the quick exchange.

Their blows collided, and both fighters separated momentarily. Laziness narrowed her eyes, studying Raiken.

"This one's aura beast… it's surprisingly powerful," she murmured, assessing his strength.

Raiken evaded her initial attack, though her nails grazed his chest. A faint white line appeared, but he remained unfazed.

Kaizen took note. Impressive. Raiken's fist strength is on par with an Enhancer, almost like Uvogin from the Phantom Troupe. But Raiken has more finesse than Uvogin, who was raised in Meteor City—a place that values raw strength over skill.

In contrast, Raiken's world was one that honed combat to an art form, where fighting skill and prowess reigned supreme. His father, the legendary Yujiro Hanma, raised him to be a weapon of unmatched skill. Raiken had faced countless martial artists.

It was a world where fighting culture thrived to an extreme.

But in the Hunter world, strength lay in Nen. Raw talent and aura could be enough to dominate, unlike the disciplined warriors of Raiken's world.

Back in the field, Laziness barely reacted to Raiken's punch, her expression still calm. Carlisle, watching from the sidelines, was astounded. Gluttony struggled under Raiken's onslaught, yet Laziness isn't even fazed…

"Never judge a Nen user by appearance," Kaizen muttered, keeping his gaze on the screen. Despite Laziness's delicate appearance, she was more dangerous than anyone Carlisle could have imagined.
