Chapter 437: Chapter 438: Re-entering the Dungeon

"For you? Don't worry! If you ever need help from the Loki Familia in the future, we'll be there for you!"

Loki puffed out her chest proudly as she spoke, though the gesture lacked any real effect. Alexander couldn't help but feel exasperated.

What's the point of relying on you guys? If I ever face an enemy I can't handle, what could you possibly do?

"Forget it," Alexander said, shaking his head. "I don't expect much from you. Just do me a favor: if I'm not around, help look after Hestia."

He glanced at Hestia, who stood quietly beside him. Alexander couldn't stay in this world forever, but Hestia was still a goddess here, and her Familia could be valuable. Loki, despite her mischievous nature, had a strong foothold in Orario, making her somewhat reliable.

"Alright, you can go back now. I'll join Ais and the others tomorrow."

Hearing this, Loki beamed with excitement and quickly took off. She still needed to oversee her Familia's preparations for the large-scale expedition. After all, as the main god, her presence was essential.

The night passed quickly. When Alexander opened his eyes the next morning, the sun was already up.

At the entrance to the dungeon, a crowd of high-spirited adventurers had gathered. Leading them was none other than Finn, the captain of the Loki Familia.

"Today marks the start of our Familia's expedition! For the honor of the Loki Familia, this mission must be a success!"

Finn's voice was confident and commanding. He had good reason to be confident—thanks to his future knowledge of the events depicted in anime, he was well-prepared for what lay ahead. Failing this expedition was not an option.

On the sidelines, Alexander stood silently, observing the determined adventurers. Beside him was Tsubaki, the Captain of the Hephaestus Familia, who had been invited as external support by the Loki Familia. She looked at Alexander with curiosity.

"Mr. Alexander, we meet again," Tsubaki greeted warmly.

Alexander nodded slightly. "This expedition is dangerous. Be careful."

Tsubaki, unphased, grinned confidently. She patted her chest and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Alexander! The Loki Familia bought a lot of weapons crafted from the materials you brought us last time. Their power is monstrous! We won't fail."

Huh? They've already made equipment from those materials? Alexander thought. The Hephaestus Familia's efficiency is no joke.

Meanwhile, Finn began organizing the teams.

"To ensure safety, we'll proceed in two groups. I'll lead the first team, and Riveria will lead the second team with the Amazon sisters and Bete."

With four Level 6 adventurers in the Loki Familia, splitting into two teams was a logical choice. Naturally, Alexander decided to follow Ais's team.

No contest. One side has Finn and Gareth, the other side has Riveria, Ais, and the Amazon sisters. Even from an aesthetic standpoint, it's obvious which group is more enjoyable to travel with.

As they ventured deeper into the dungeon, Alexander noticed Ais walking beside him, her expression tense.

"What's on your mind?" Alexander asked.

For some reason, Ais's demeanor had shifted the moment they entered the dungeon. Her guarded stance made Alexander wonder if something was amiss.

"It's the Minotaur," Ais said, her voice cautious. "Didn't your anime mention that we'd encounter a berserk Minotaur on this floor?"

Alexander blinked in surprise. Ais was referring to the event where Freya used a berserk Minotaur to train Bell Cranel in Danmachi's first season.

After processing her words, Alexander realized what was going on. But wait... Bell hasn't even appeared since I arrived here. Could this event still happen? And besides, would Freya seriously think a Minotaur could pose a threat to me?

As Alexander pondered, the group reached the 18th floor. This floor, known as a "safe zone," didn't pose any immediate threats, allowing them to traverse it with ease.

However, just as they were about to move on, a massive figure emerged from the shadows, step by thundering step.

ROAR!

The creature let out an earth-shaking bellow, causing the dungeon walls to tremble.

A titan, standing over ten meters tall, with jet-black skin, bulging muscles, and a wild mane of white hair, loomed before them. Its crimson eyes gleamed menacingly, and its enormous mouth twisted into a monstrous grin.

The adventurers froze in shock.

"It's... Black Goliath!"
