HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 351: A True Coincidence.

In a dark alleyway, in an even darker night, a slightly large black dog sat calmly while chewing a chew toy that made no noise but felt soft to chew.

The dog's eyes were intelligent and he kept them focused on the thick iron door of the house in front that rarely opened.

As time passed, people wearing iron masks slowly came to the iron door and knocked in a specific pattern before a small viewing window opened from where hollow eyes pierced into their very beings as they were asked a simple question.

'Hmm…assasination…'

The dog gazed intelligently as he gathered information about what was happening inside the house.

'If the Headmaster learns about this, I might get expelled from the Order of Phoenix...especially when he's already assigned to me the important task of guarding Harry from threats.'

'While the Headmaster's words remained calm and analytical about the situation, he wouldn't have talked about protecting Harry unless there was a looming threat.'

'It feels like something big is going to happen soon…'

'Is 'He' going to return?'

'Well, that'll only be for the good…I can finally kill the bastard with my own hands then…'

'I should treat killing this Mr. X as a sort of practice mission to shake off the rust that I've gathered in Azkaban.'

Inside the house beside the one that the dog was currently observing, a blond girl sat on a chair and slowly cleaned the blood off of her knife.

Beside her, tied to chairs, were two people who were still alive, as indicated by their frantic expressions, but they couldn't move a single limb, at least not without suffering a hellish pain that came from the several needles stabbed into their joints.

They would've liked to scream to make their distress known to the world but-

Their faces had been carved with the knife as if someone tried giving them permanent tattoos.

It was clear that they had been tortured, and it had been done in such as way that their mind hadn't broken, yet, but they felt a hellish pain each time they tried doing something that they weren't allowed to.

The blond girl cleaned up her equipment and sealed it all together before walking to the window covered by thin blinds.

She used her finger to pry open the ones near her eyes as she looked at the house opposite to her.

'It seems z'hat joining zhe gaz'hering is zhe only answer…'

'Good zhat I planned for zhis.'

The girl put her hand inside a rather small bag, smaller than even her hand, and searched through all the items in it before stopping on a single item that she quickly pulled out.

The item was a thin bracelet made of gold.

As soon as the girl removed it from the bag, the people tied to chairs behind her suddenly fell limp.

They hadn't died or even fallen asleep, but their body felt like it had relaxed fully. As if no pain in the world could even touch them let alone hurt them.

Their macabre 'tattooed' faces broke into smiles and they looked like people who'd lost their minds. Drool slipped out of the edges of their lips, mixing with blood on its way down as it stained their already red clothes with even more red.

The girl nodded, satisfied that the item was working as she'd expected it to and quickly put it back into her bag. It's effect on the two men, however, remained.

After that, she pulled out a crystal quartz pendulum and performed a simple divination.

"The mission today will be a success."

She repeated the statement seven times with her eyes closed as she used the moment to still and calm her mind using cogitation.

She opened her eyes once again and when she saw the pendulum spinning clockwise, rapidly, her eyes brightened.

She quickly tidied her appearance, making sure that all blood was wiped away from her as she put on a thick hooded robe to conceal her figure.

On the outside, the dog that had been waiting till now spotted another person wearing an iron mask coming down the street.

As soon as the dog spotted the person, it suddenly expelled a little bit of spirituality, causing the person to be lulled into sleep.

Having completely relaxed and become unaware of the danger, the person collapsed onto the ground as the dog quickly dragged him away into the darker parts of the alleyway where shadows seemed to help conceal whatever the dog was doing.

And after a few seconds, a new person emerged from the alleyway.

This person had an iron mask too and seemed rather athletic as he walked towards the house he had targeted as a dog.

At the same time, a strange wandering man, dressed in expensive Acromantula silk clothes, appeared on the roof of a nearby house.

He leaned on his silver walking cane while looking at the house that was getting so much attention by two other people already.

'Why did I have to be here today?'

'I just divined the best possible location for my shop today and had to come here?'

'Isn't this the place where Aurora Order holds their gathering?'

'Will I even be allowed to set up shop here?'

'What's worse is the location in my dream divination wasn't another building near the shop or even outside it…I just had to go to the gathering and offer my services….'

'How strange…'

'Well, whatever…not like it's something I can't handle if someone tries to do something.'

With that, the strange man conjured an illusory iron mask on his face and walked up to the thick iron door to knock on it with his cane in a specific pattern.

The peeping slit opened and the man was met with a pair of hazel eyes that looked deeply at him.

"I know I look like a gentleman, but I'm not into men." The man said softly causing the eyes in the peeping slit to narrow in disgust before they recoiled and quickly opened the door, letting the man inside and not engaging with him any further.

Except the funky man didn't remain quiet.

Once he was inside he clutched his chest and spoke softly, as if in tremendous pain, "Aww…did I hurt you? Did I break your heart? Don't worry…I'm sure you'll find someone else…Perhaps even someone like me? No that was a lie. You will never find anyone like me because I'm the only me!"

The crazy man walked away after speaking, leaving behind a dumbfounded gatekeeper who didn't know what to do.

It was at this time that the blond girl knocked on the door, but given how stunned the man on the other side was, he didn't open the door.

The dog man then sneered at the robed person and pushed her aside before proudly knocking on the door himself.

And since the gatekeeper inside had recovered he quickly opened the door after scanning the dog man.

The dog man gave the robed person a disdain-filled glance before walking away into the house.

'Z'his…'

'Why does it feel like Loki called me a loser again!'

'How c'en I be zhe loser when he's not even here!?'

The blond girl knocked on the door again and the man quickly peeped at her before opening the door quickly and letting her in.

She gave him an annoyed expression as she decided she'd have the last laugh today and walked away.

'An extra dead body won't raise any suspicions…'
