HP: The Dream

Chapter 35: Chapter 34: Miss Angel

"What happened to you?"

"Ask the witches sitting up there, looking down upon on us." I point to Minnie and Hooch.

"Prof. McGonagall and Prof. Hooch? What did they do for you to end up like this? You look like you ran a marathon."

"It was nothing short of that. They made me dodge a bludger for 3 hours, *sob* *sob* it was borderline cruel. And while I was dodging the bloody thing, they had snacks. And that forking cat applied some stinging charm or something to the ball, I can still feel the pangs of pain. I am so tired, even speaking hurts."

"3 hours! Now I don't wanna be in your place. Maybe she is pissed that you didn't go to class?"

"You think! I am telling you, one day I will make that bloody cat cry tears of blood. I will lock her in a room full of 5- no, full of 20 bludgers, and- and make her trim the entirety of Hogwarts ground with scissors. And make her…."

"Well, you certainly are imaginative about revenge ideas." Came a voice from behind.

'Please let it not be Minnie, I don't want a repeat of today.'

I turn around, praying in my heart, and say Penelope standing behind me.

'Thank Go-, Merli- no, Thank Morgana. If I am gonna thank somebody, let it be a hot witch than a bald old man.'

"If you were the one who had to dodge bludgers for 3 hours, you would be agreeing with me."

"Oof~~, that's certainly long. Even quidditch members don't do that."

"Tell that to those 2 witches up there."

"Well, I hope you get better by tomorrow."

"Thank you, but may I ask why?"

"Why what? I just want you to feel better."

"You surely do, but I believe that. What I don't believe is the sweet honey voice you are using right now. So spill it, what do you want?"

"That obvious huh? *chuckle*"

She looks around and then whispers in my ear. Padma comes closer to hear as well.

"I was wondering if you are up for another session of our study group?"

"Wow, don't you feel embarrassed asking a first-year for help?"

"Humph, you were the one who said that there isn't anything embarrassing about learning. And you know that I am a prefect, right? The fact that I haven't complained about your activities to teachers, as I am inclined to do, makes you indebted to me."

"Of course you didn't report me. You don't stand to gain anything from doing that, and you can't exactly do that now after you 'willingly' became an accomplice."

"*sigh* okay, I- look are you up for it or not?"

"Sure, if you guys are ready. I am available whenever."

"Thanks." She jumps a bit and hugs me, which due to my height puts my face in a really soft place.

"Maybe I should start demanding favours in return for these lessons."

"Don't ruin it."

"Fine. And why don't you ask others if they are interested." I advise Padma.

"Sure, though pretty sure none would say no."

"Great, then let us do it this Sunday."

"Okay, I'll go and tell Parvati and Hermoine, you tell Tonks." She tells me and goes off to the Gryffindor table.

Although I was reluctant, Penelope removed me from her embrace and I made my way towards Dora.

"How are you Subject #1?"

"I was good, though now that you are here I can't be sure anymore."

"Oh please, I come bearing good news." She raises her eyebrow at that.

"I was wondering if you were up for another study session on Sunday?"

"Sure! Are we gonna learn to blow things up again?"

"I haven't decided on that part but if others agree, why not?"

With affirmation from her and the others as well, it was decided to gather again on Sunday after lunch.

'Gotta learn more spells now.'

We all retire to our common room and I immediately rush to my room to learn another spell from the book.

Though looking through the pages I encounter a problem.

'Remaining spells are either heavy-damage and prone to destruction, or require a target to cast on. I can practice the first-type near the Great Lake tomorrow, what to do about the first one?'

Looking at my options, I realised I didn't have many, only 2.

So I got up to go and try to coerce my 1st option.

"A Padma, good thing you were still in the common room."

"This is weird, how are you in the common room? Got bored of your spells?"

"No, I am here for my spells. You see I have run into a bit of a wall in my path to acquire new spells."

"Oh, what is it? Maybe I can help."

Hearing her I got a wide smile on my face.

"On second thought, I take my words back. Don't wanna help you, that smile doesn't promise anything fun."

"Please, don't say that. You are the only one I can ask."

"Leave me, let go of my foot. I am not helping you."

"NO, I am not leaving it till you say you'll help me."

After trying to get rid of me a couple of times, she finally relented.

"Okay, I will do it. Just leave my foot, everyone's watching us." She says with some embarrassment.

"Great!" I jump to my feet and lead her to my room.

"Okay, what do you want help with."

"See these spells, they require a 2nd person to either cast or verify." I show her my book.

She flips through it and looks at me as if I am crazy.

"I am not letting you grow antlers on my head."

"And you don't have to. I mean, I would be happy if you do, but if you don't want to, fine. We can just do the ones you agree to."

"*sigh* fine." Says the angel in human form.

With the approval from miss angel, I try out the first spell that I have been wanting to try.

"Okay let us start with 'Cave inimicum', you don't even have to do anything in this one, just sit there and tell me if you can see me or not."

"That's it?"

"That's it. Also if you can hear me or smell me or something. Should use perfume for the last one."

Another reason for picking this up is so that she isn't scared away on the first day, I want this to be a looooooooong co-operation.

So, with my Subjec- no, with Miss Angel's assistance I begin my practice.
