HP: Is It Wrong To Be A Sociopath In Magic World?

Chapter 9: Chapter 8: Harry!

Wait, does it count if I'm not in the same plane of reality that the 'books' are being posted on?

….

"Goodness, didn't you know? I would have found out everything I could if it was me. Do any of you know what house you'll be in? I've asked around and I hope I'm in Gryffindor, it by far sounds the best."

"I heard Dumbledore himself was in it, but I suppose Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad, anyway, I should continue looking for Neville's toad. You three should change, you know, I expect we'll be arriving soon."

And with that she walked out with Neville following after her, looking like he didn't really understand what had just happened.

While I on the other hand thought about the question myself. Hufflepuff was out just from personality alone, Gryffindor maybe but I'm not exactly what most would call reckless, the ones that make the most sense would be Ravenclaw and Slytherin to be honest.

I'm smart enough for the first, and manipulative enough for the second, though I'll aim for Ravenclaw most definitely as the headache of me being in Slytherin would be unending.

"What every house I'm in I hope it's not the same as her. Stupid spell, George gave it to me, probably knew it was a dud."

That was Ron who was sulking about what she had said which I think was a little stupid but kids are kind of stupid so I guess that made sense.

From there the two boys started talking about the houses, well, Ron was complaining that his entire family was in Gryffindor so he kind of had to go there, while also basically saying that Slytherin equals bad people.

From there the conversation turned to careers somehow with Harry asking about Ron's family and what jobs they all have. I already knew most of it or at least had the mind to remember most of it.

While that was happening, out of mild boredom, I dug out one of my books and started skimming through them again.

I didn't see a point in adding into the conversation and just sitting there was unproductive, though considering I've already read this book, twice in fact, didn't really help me learn anything new.

My thoughts were stopped as Ron exclaimed in shock about Harry not knowing about Quidditch, he looked over towards me, probably to back him up, also probably forgetting that I'm not suppose to know anything about it either so I just shook my head.

And that seemed to set him off, talking about how great it was and about the rules and player amounts and a bunch of other stuff that I already knew about.

I ignored most of it and just continued on reading the first couple chapters of the book, again, when the door opened again.

Oh joy, more plot contrived annoyances, looking up though, I noted that it took me a bit more time to figure out who they were, but it was easy enough after a couple seconds of thinking on it.

Two slightly bulky boys to the side of a pale skinned blond hair kid. Draco Malfoy, oh wasn't this going to be a headache.

"So it's true, they're saying all down the train that Harry Potter's down in this compartment, so it's you is it?" I wonder if he did this for the last six compartments that he;s searched, isn't that an amusing mental image.

"Yes" I noted from looking over the edge of my book that Harry was looking at the two bodyguard looking kids to Draco's left and right.

Draco seemed to notice it as well as he smirked slightly, something that looked really annoying actually, before introducing them.

"Oh this is Crabbe and this is Goyle, and my name is Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." Right last names in this world mean something to people, which I think is kind of stupid but then again that might be because of the fact that I don't exactly have one to use to my own advantage which I would most certainly do if I could.

Though coming from Draco's mouth it more sounded like he was trying to just state his incorrectly assumed superiority over us with that name, instead of actually doing anything with it.

Though that's when Ron choked back a laugh which Draco picked up on.

"Oh? Think my name is funny do you? No need to ask about who you are, my father taught me that all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles, and more children than they can afford."

That was an interesting insult, but it kind of lost weight because his dad was the one to tell him about it, and he freely admitted to such.

Though of course, Ron didn't exactly take that lying down as he looked like he wanted to jump up and attack the blond but held back surprisingly as the entitled kid continued talking.

"You'll quickly find out that some wizarding family's are much better than others Potter, you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." I rolled my eyes at the blunt and honestly kind of idiotic way he tried to get Harry onto his side or maybe it was him on Harry's side.

It could be either depending on which way the relationship went if Harry was more of a dick.

But as it turns out he isn't, so with that he didn't reach and grab onto Draco's extended hand and instead said to him.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks."

It was madly disrespectful, even if the two of them were just eleven so watching Draco turn slightly red was amusing to watch, though I have to give him props for his facial control.

It isn't all that hard but most can't actually stop their faces from turning red, so it was something to halt the progress somewhat.

Though that's when he managed to get his composure back up enough to get a comeback in.
