How to Run Away from Obsessed Men

Episode 1

In the piercing cold, Lindsey opened her eyes.

‘Where am I?’

She furrowed her delicate forehead, surveying her surroundings in bewilderment. The sudden turn of events left her utterly confused.

‘Surely I was stopping a massive invasion…?’

She was certain she had been on the battlefield, fulfilling her role as an S-rank guide, fighting diligently.

Yet, where she found herself now was a splendid and luxurious room. Tacky jewels adorned the space, and broken glass fragments were scattered about.

The chaotic room seemed oddly familiar to her.

Her face, lost in thought, turned pale as a familiar voice echoed unexpectedly in her ears.

“Lindsey Kesion.”

Lindsey’s eyes widened.

It was an incredibly pleasant and sweet voice to the point of being unfortunate.

She knew exactly who the owner of that voice was.

It was a voice she had grown weary of in the distant past.

“Guess it was just an exaggeration.”

There stood a man with golden hair and emerald eyes that resembled melted gold.

The already chilly room felt even colder due to the man’s icy demeanor.

Lindsey was acquainted with the man before her.

Her hand holding the blanket turned ashen.

She couldn’t believe the situation she was in. Or rather, she didn’t want to believe it.

‘Crazy.’

“What are you talking about? Did your already stupid head get injured again, making you crazy?”

Kenyan Radian.

Why was he here? In other words, why?

“You said you were dying, and when I come here, it’s all nonsense. If you wanted attention, you could have done something more interesting.”

“…”

“Regardless of what you do, Azhet won’t care. It’s pitiful, really.”

He sneered at Lindsey with contemptuous eyes, growling like a beast.

The tired-looking man got up from his seat and continued speaking.

“If you pull a stunt like this one more time, it won’t be Azhet, but I won’t stay silent.”

Leaving these words behind, Kenyan exited the room.

Lindsey stared at the door he left through for a long while. When she finally came to her senses, she looked down at her own hands.

Her hands, holding the blanket, were pale and covered in small wounds.

‘Was my hand always this thin?’

Even as a guide, a certain level of physical training was essential.

Especially as an S-rank guide who often ventured onto the battlefield, physical training was not a choice but a necessity.

But what she saw in front of her eyes now wasn’t a moderately muscular body.

Lindsey quickly got up.

There was water left as if someone had prepared it.

‘No way, it can’t be. It must not be.’

Thinking so, Lindsey gazed at her reflection in the water.

A girl with black hair and yellow eyes looked back at her. The pallid face and eyes that seemed to carry a sense of melancholy were unpleasant to see.

Lindsey knew this girl better than anyone else.

Lindsey Kesion.

The cursed child.

And in a distant past, herself before being reborn as an S-rank guide in the modern era.

Despair filled Lindsey’s face.
