(Third Person POV)

[King's Landing, Ten Years Ago]

"Baelon!" Queen Alicent said as she walked down the rampart and to the small tower, "Get down from here!" 

A young Baelon Targaryen popped his head out from the roof of the small tower, "Eh!" 

Alicent crossed her arms, "How many times have I told you not to climb the towers like a lunatic?!" She scolded with a scowl on her face, "Do you wish to kill me with stress?!" 

Baelon chuckled, "But it's fun!" 

"Fun? It is anything but fun!" Alicent said, "Get down here!" 

Baelon frowned, "Alright...." He said as he began to climb down from the tower at a rapid and concerning speed, "If you say so." 

"B-Baelon, slowly!" Alicent said as she took a couple of steps forward, "You're going to fall!" 

Baelon then jumped down as he was around 10 feet from the floor, "There you go!" He said as he landed and patted his pants, "I'm down." 

"Don't do that!" Alicent said as she reached and pulled on his ear

"Ah! My ear!" Baelon exclaimed, "Mother, don't pull on it!" 

"Let us go." Alicent said as she let go of his ear and grabbed his hand, "We have supper waiting." 

She began to walk away and pulled the young prince along with her as he frowned. 

"I'm not hungry." Baelon said, "I'm going to see Balerion tonight." 

"No." Alicent said, "Not tonight." 

"Why not?" Baelon said

"The last time you went, you took Aemond with you." Alicent said, "He is but a boy." 

"You're no fun." Baelon said

"I am your Mother." Alicent said as she stopped and looked at him, "If something were to happen to you, how do you think it would make me feel? Your Father? Your Sisters?" 

Baelon scratched his cheek, "Well...." 

"Sometimes, you are going to have to reign in your adventurous spirits Baelon." Alicent said seriously, "You could get hurt." 

"I am the Heir, I can-" Baelon started

"Exactly, you are the Heir." Alicent cut him off, "You are the Heir to the Throne. If something happens to you, your Father will be devastated because his Heir, the boy he wanted all his life, was taken from him. So do him a favor and stop with these reckless actions." 

Baelon pouted and looked away, "Fine." 

"No, I don't want to hear just 'fine'." Alicent said, "I want you to truly stop." 

"I will, I will." Baelon said

Baelon Targaryen, Heir to the Iron Throne, and Rider of Balerion....did not truly stop his reckless actions.

"Are you not hungry, my dear?" Alicent asked a young Helaena Targaryen

Helaena was looking down, holding a small insect in her hands, "No..." she said softly

They were sitting down in a table, inside the Queen's chambers and eating supper. All of Alicent's children were there as the King was not present, he had business to attend to with his brother, Prince Daemon. 

A young Aegon sat next to Baelon who was finishing up his plate, "She hasn't eaten, Mother." He told his mother, "You ought to do something about that." 

Aemond, who was around five, nodded, "Yes, mother." 

Alicent sighed, "Helaena..." She said, "You must eat." 

"I'm not hungry...." Helaena said

"That is what your brother said...." Alicent gestured at Baelon who was finishing up his piece of bread, "But look at that voracious appetite of his." 

The young princess looked at her brother, who was drinking his cup of water, lost in his own world. His brothers looked at him, smiling and chuckling at this. 

"I....." Helaena said as she looked back down

"Helaena." Baelon said as he set his cup down, "You should eat. A dragonrider needs their energy. How else would you spend hours upon hours riding in the sky?" 

"Who said anything about hours?" Alicent frowned, "One is more than enough at your age. Especially you." 

Baelon shrugged, "Balerion needs more than one hour of exercise, I am just saying." He said with a chuckle

"That is true." Aegon said as he ate 

"I will soon have my own dragon, Mother." Aemond said

Alicent reached for him and patted his head, "I am sure. I hope you are obedient, unlike your brothers." 

Helaena looked at her plate, "But...." 

"Eat, sister." Baelon said, "You have to...." 

Helaena looked at her brother, "Well...." 

Baelon gave her a smile, "There is nothing wrong with eating. Eating is necessary for life!" He said with a joyous tone

Helaena smiled slightly, "O-Okay...." She said as she looked at him

Queen Alicent noticed a certain glint in the eyes of her daughter, something that told her everything she needed to know. 

"Hm...." Alicent said

Helaena then began to slowly eat as she set her insect on her lap. 

"Good girl..." Alicent smiled

"Brother...." Helaena said as she walked behind Baelon 

It was later that night, Baelon was intending to sneak out of the Keep and go to Balerion. 

Baelon looked back at her, "What is it? Shouldn't you be asleep?" He said, "What are you doing up?" 

"I..." She said as she held a small stuffed toy, "What are you doing, brother?" 

"Me?" Baelon said, "I'm going to see Balerion. Why?" 

"Mother does not want you to do that." Helaena said softly

"Go back to bed, Helaena." Baelon said as he turned back around, "I will return in a few hours." 

"Brother, don't leave me here..." Helaena said as she looked around, "It is dark....and scary... "

Baelon glanced at her, "Why are you even out here?" 

"Because I saw you coming this way..." Helaena said

Baelon sighed and walked over to her, grabbing her hand, "Alright, come with me. Stick close." He said with a chuckle, "Your big brother will keep you safe." 

Helaena nodded and Baelon began to walk, pulling her alongside. 

Around half an hour later, the two of them were with The Black Dread, who was lying down, asleep. Balerion's loud snores were enough to cause Helaena to stop, completely frozen. Even harmless snores were imposing and intimidating enough for the young princess to feel a bit of fear.

Baelon looked at her, "What is it?" 

"I...." Helaena said softly

"Don't worry, Balerion will not do anything." Baelon said

As he said that, Balerion's eye opened and looked right at them. This caused Helaena to step back as she began to tremble slightly. The Black Dread looked right at the young princess as he let out a rumble that shook the ground. 

"Dohaeras, Balerion." Baelon said as he raised his hand, "Easy..." 

Balerion let out a snort and closed his eyes once again. 

"Seems he's in a lazy mood tonight." Baelon chuckled

"I am scared." Helaena said softly

"Don't be. I, Baelon, will protect you from any dangers." Baelon held her hand tightly, "That is my vow, Sister." 

Helaena looked at her brother, who gave her a smile.

She looked down, "I...." She said softly, "I love you, Baelon..." 

Baelon looked at her with surprise, "Oh, I love you too." He said with a chuckle, "I love you very much, Helaena." 

"No..." Helaena looked to her side, "I will marry you one day. I know that." 

"Oh, is that so?" Baelon blinked, "Well, I guess we will see." 

Helaena's face went a little red, "Y-Yes....I have seen it...."

[Dragonstone, Present Day]

Baelon walked inside Helaena's room, seeing that their Mother was sitting in a couch and his wife was sitting on the ground, working on a tapestry. 

"Mother." Baelon said as he gave her a nod

"Baelon." Alicent said as she looked at her son, "Where is your Father?" 

"Do not know." Baelon said, "Privy, probably." 

"I see." Alicent said

Baelon walked over to Helaena who had an innocent smile on her face, "And my dear wife..." He said as he sat down behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "Oh, how I miss you already..." 

Baelon kissed her cheek and rested his chin on her shoulder as Helaena continued what she was doing. 

"You see me every day...." Helaena chuckled

"And any hour that I do not, I miss you." Baelon said with a smile, "My beautiful wife....." 

He embraced her tightly and Helaena could not help but blush. 

"I-In front of Mother...." Helaena said softly

"Hm..." Baelon said, "I am merely hugging you." 

Alicent could not help but smile at this, feeling nothing but joy for her two children. Baelon may not have been hers by blood but all those countless hours that she had spent raising the boy paid off. She ensured that he was a good man who would treat her daughter well. 

"Baelon....." Helaena said suddenly, "I...I spoke to mother.....I..." 

"What is it?" Baelon asked

Helaena hesitated and looked at her Mother.

Alicent gave her an assuring nod, silently telling her that she will support any decision she will make at that moment. 

"I...." Helaena continued, "It is nothing.....I just....I love you very much..." 

Baelon kissed her on the cheek again, "I know." He said with a smile, "You are everything to me..." 

"I love you so much as well."
