Only when Silver Wolf frantically pulled out his handheld console and checked his game account did he discover it remained perfectly intact.
Silver Wolf stared, bewildered.
A pixelated smart pistol materialized out of thin air, pressed against Su Jinyan's forehead.
This was Silver Wolf's masterpiece—"Prometheus," equipped with four distinct personality modules, each serving different functions.
Originally, "Prometheus" had five personality modules, but later for certain reasons, one was removed.
Su Jinyan didn't expect such a strong reaction from Silver Wolf.
"Erm, uh, darling, it was just a little joke between us."
"I didn't anticipate you'd react so intensely. You'll forgive me, right?" Su Jinyan asked sheepishly, smiling awkwardly.
Silver Wolf remained silent.
Su Jinyan's smile gradually faded. "You will forgive me, won't you?"
Silver Wolf slightly parted their pink lips, flicked off the safety catch, and mimicked a gunshot sound: "Bang!"
Instantly, Su Jinyan closed his eyes, clutched his heart in agony, and collapsed to the ground.
"Ah, I'm dead."
The killer is—
Biting his finger until it bled, Su Jinyan shakily scrawled five words and a dash on the floor using his blood. Then, he tilted his head sideways, rolled his eyes back, and feigned complete death.
Silver Wolf watched, speechless.
Realizing nothing had happened, Su Jinyan nonchalantly stood back up.
"You said you died," Silver Wolf remarked.
Su Jinyan responded, "Just had a respawn match against the Abundance Emanator down there. Seems I won, didn't I?"
Silver Wolf adjusted her goggles, revealing a smug smile, "Hmph, we're even now."
Unable to suppress his laughter, Su Jinyan extended his hand towards her, "Let's start over, my name is Su Jinyan."
Gently grasping his palm, Silver Wolf blew a pink bubble, "I'm Silver Wolf."
"What kind of tasty gum do you have? Give me some," Su Jinyan requested.
Silver Wolf lowered her head, searching through her pocket for bubblegum, "Sure, what flavor do you want?"
Embarrassedly, Su Jinyan asked, "Can I have the one you've been chewing already?"
"Hmm?" Silver Wolf's beautiful eyes narrowed, puzzled.
Su Jinyan, without further explanation, quipped, "Well...you know, my sense of humor is quite unique. So people often mistake me for a weirdo, but in reality, I'm not actually that strange."
The Silver Wolf casually tossed him a piece of bubblegum. "You truly are peculiar."
Su Jinyan retorted, somewhat irked, "Hey, and you're one to talk! It's not like you're much better off, right?"
"I know you're a renowned hacker, but can't you leave me some privacy? You've practically seen everything about me down to my underwear. That's not fair; let me see yours too."
Silver Wolf nodded. "Sure, come take a look."
Su Jinyan was taken aback.
Immediately after this response, Silver Wolf's body completed its quantum digitization, transforming into a 3D holographic projection.
What's there to see now? Who would harbor any desire towards quantum data?
Feeling uninterested and disgruntled, Su Jinyan said, "No thanks, that lacks sincerity."
Upon hearing this, Silver Wolf deactivated the projection, swung their pale, slender legs, and began counting on their fingers.
"Do you think I spend every day spying on you? I'm not as idle as you imagine.
"You see, besides gaming, I also have to memorize scripts and lines."
"Additionally, there are tasks assigned by Elio to complete—it keeps me quite busy."
"By the way, what ability did you use on him? It seemed somewhat similar to Kafka's Word Spirit Technique," Su Jinyan asked curiously.
Silver Wolf replied evenly, "Yes, intrigued?"
Su Jinyan sighed, "Darling, stop testing me. I'd like to live a bit longer."
"But isn't it really alright for you to reveal your companion's abilities so casually?"
Silver Wolf shrugged nonchalantly, "Tch, what's there to keep secret about Kafka's ability?
"Do you think knowing Kafka's power would enable you to capture her?"
"Even if I tied her up and brought her right to you, you still wouldn't be able to do anything to her."
"On the contrary, your own ability seems well-hidden; I don't recall seeing you use it before?"
Su Jinyan raised an eyebrow, "As you should know, my ability is not suitable for public display."
"To be precise, it's a brief form of mental control.
"It allows me to dominate others' minds, making them obey any command I give."
He withheld one detail: against individuals with strong wills, his mind control ability had no effect whatsoever.
Moreover, this ability's duration was very brief and could not be delayed or postponed.
For example, if he attempted to dominate someone's mind and command them to commit suicide three days later, the order would be ineffective.
The Silver Wolf gently nodded. "Is that so? Sounds quite impressive."
"Have you ever considered using this ability on beautiful young girls?"
Su Jinyan responded, "What if I suggest that you've already fallen under its influence without realizing it?"
Unfazed, the Silver Wolf retorted, "Then why don't you give me a command and see?"
Su Jinyan crossed his arms over his chest, his expression serious. "Right now, you're breathing."
Silver Wolf acknowledged, "Yes, and then what?"
Su Jinyan continued, "Once you become aware of your breathing, it will switch to manual control."
The Silver Wolf unconsciously drew in a breath, followed by a puzzled look on her face.
Su Jinyan proceeded, "Next, you won't be able to roll your eyes while sticking out your tongue simultaneously."
With slightly parted lips, the Silver Wolf poked out her delicate pink tongue and promptly tried rolling her eyes.
Impressive, she's got him there.
Silver Wolf grinned widely, "Ha! You're wrong; I can still do it."
Su Jinyan raised his thumb, conceding, "I stand corrected."
The corners of Silver Wolf's lips curved up as she asked, "By the way, you must know why I came to see you, right?"
Her late-night visit was primarily driven by her interest in the card game Su Jinyan mentioned earlier that day.
Su Jinyan cleared his throat, "Uh, about that... don't worry, take your time."
"I've already made initial progress on outlining the project plan."
Silver Wolf's expression remained calm, "In other words, you just created a new folder for it?"
Su Jinyan looked startled, "Wow, how did you understand what I meant?! Impressive!"
Smiling, Silver Wolf gently swiped her finger, causing Prometheus to materialize and press against his waist.
"Rookie, I'm the absolute top hacker across the universe, second to none."
"You think you could fool me, hmm?"
Su Jinyan raised his hands in surrender, "No, no, I really am working on it. It's not a mere bluff, I assure you."
"As someone well-versed in the gaming industry, you should know too..."
"No blockbuster game is developed overnight. It requires meticulous refinement for success."
Silver Wolf narrowed her beautiful eyes, holstered Prometheus, and crossed her snow-white legs gracefully.
She then shifted slightly, adjusting her position for a comfortable pose while playing her handheld game console.
Unfortunately, such captivating beauty could only be admired from afar, not touched.
"Share your thoughts with me, you know I'm listening."
"Even though this is our first meeting, I consider you a friend."
"But don't deceive me, or there will be consequences."
