Chapter 3: Chapter 3: A Blazing Start - The Antimatter Legion and Stellaron Hunters
Before Guinaifen and all the viewers in the Live Streaming Room, the scene unfolded of a space station suspended in outer space.
The space station was massive and highly advanced, hovering near a vibrant blue planet.
As a soothing rendition of Pachelbel's Canon played,
phantom figures began to appear around the space station one after another.
These apparitions were clearly not human; their bodies seemed supported by armor, and their weapons bristled with antimatter particles.
With just a glance, Guinaifen recognized these abominations immediately.
"The Antimatter Legion!"
For her homeland had been destroyed by this very legion!
Naturally, she was no stranger to such inhuman creatures.
Recalling those painful memories, her fists clenched involuntarily.
Could it be that this space station would suffer the same fate as her homeland, annihilated entirely by these monstrous beings?
In the scene before them,
inside the space station, numerous researchers panicked due to the sudden attack.
With the assistance of security personnel, people were swiftly evacuating.
Red emergency lights flickered on electronic screens everywhere, heightening the palpable sense of urgency.
Yet amidst this dire situation,
a woman clad in a coat appeared unperturbed, gracefully dancing as if nothing was amiss.
Although she held no instrument in her hands,
the impression she conveyed was that of someone deeply immersed in playing an invisible violin, fully absorbed in her performance.
This serene scene formed a stark contrast to the chaos within the space station!
Even more strikingly,
her sensuous red lips curved upwards slightly,
as if the turmoil around her brought her a sense of joy!
As the camera panned with a 360-degree close-up,
the woman's face came into full view for everyone watching.
Guinaifen composed herself briefly and adjusted the camera angle,
ensuring the live stream captured the game's content more effectively.
"Hey folks, do you see it?"
"The graphics in this game look incredibly realistic!"
"If not told otherwise, I'd think it's footage from real life!"
"Let me enlighten you all, courtesy of Little Gui Zi."
"The non-human creatures appearing here are part of the Antimatter Legion. These beings embody the will of [Destruction] and can also be referred to as [Voidrangers]."
"Their purpose is to annihilate all civilizations and life!"
"Surprisingly, it's the Antimatter Legion? Who knows how many civilizations across the universe have been destroyed by them!"
"What an epic start for this game!"
"Thankfully, our Xianzhou has Impregnable Defense; we don't need to worry about such monster attacks."
"This woman looks so familiar..."
Without a doubt,
the opening CG sequence had successfully captivated Guinaifen and numerous viewers in the live stream.
Lin Yu observed this reaction keenly.
And yet,
this was just the beginning!
The most explosive moments were still to come!
"Boom!"
An explosion suddenly occurred at the location of the woman in the coat, turning the surroundings into an urgent red glow.
It interrupted her momentary amusement.
"It seems I've arrived at quite an inconvenient time," the woman spoke, her voice raspy yet captivating.
Simultaneously,
a silver-white emblem appeared on the screen before her.
It resembled the silhouette of a wolf.
A young girl's voice resonated from the image:
"No, I believe you've come at just the right moment."
The scene shifted,
transitioning directly into the game's content.
The girl's voice continued from the screen:
"The system time is 23:47:15. You're very punctual, Kafka."
"Kafka? That name sounds familiar." Guinaifen tapped her head, pondering.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up.
"That's right, isn't she the notorious villainess for whom the company offered an astronomical bounty...?!"
At the same moment,
as soon as this name was revealed,
the live stream erupted into chaos!
"I knew this woman looked familiar—it's Kafka!"
"A dangerous individual with a bounty of 108.99 billion Credits from the company!"
"My goodness! Is this game for real?"
"Where can I download this game?"
"What's the name of the game?!"
The Antimatter Legion, Stellaron Hunters...
From the very start, "Honkai: Star Rail" had unleashed its trump cards.
Guinaifen was utterly bewildered.
She had never heard of a game daring to introduce the Galaxy's two most dangerous factions right at the beginning.
Wiping the cold sweat from her forehead, she noticed the live stream's popularity steadily surging. She tapped on the dialogue prompt on her phone screen to continue:
"Elio (of the Stellaron Hunters) never errs when foreseeing the future. What about that explosion just now? Was it part of his [Scenario]?"
"Yes, [System Time 23:44:59 - The pulse generated by the explosion caused widespread failures in the main control system.]"
"Did you cause it?"
"The Antimatter Legion did. They infiltrated the space station approximately two system times ago."
"Do we need to confront them?"
"I'm not sure. Elio didn't mention it, so it must not be significant."
"Gotcha." Kafka whistled lightly. "From this point forward, I'll take charge of our operations."
Anyone conversing with Kafka like this could only be another member of the Stellaron Hunters!
This conversation was utterly chilling! It felt like inadvertently eavesdropping on terrorists' discussions.
How could it not instill fear and trepidation?
Furthermore, based on Kafka's exchange with this unknown entity, they seemed poised to cause more trouble!
It was unimaginable!
With both the Antimatter Legion and Stellaron Hunters descending upon the space station, just how devastating would the consequences be?!
