Currently, Nagazora City was the ideal place for Kiana's training.

The reason being, there were no people present, yet it had an abundant supply of Honkai Energy. Raiden Mei hadn't fully embraced her role as the Herrscher of Thunder, so the Virtual Space connected to her wasn't completely sealed off.

Present-day Nagazora City lacked the potential to trigger a major Honkai Eruption. However, it could still accumulate enough energy for smaller-scale Honkai events, which would challenge Kiana effectively.

Xia Chen's plan was straightforward.

By using Herrscher of the Void's power to provoke her further, he aimed for the least harmful approach.

Once Kiana awakens as the Herrscher, he would assist her in reclaiming control over her consciousness.

After that, it no longer concerns him.

As for the origin of his newfound strength, whether someone discovers it, and how to explain it... Xia Chen needn't worry about these matters.

He was no longer just an A-rank Valkyrie.

At this moment, like a player focused on mastering abyssal challenges, he fully concentrated on evading Kiana's attacks. Naturally, from Kiana's perspective, it seemed as if Xia Chen was merely taunting her.

"Annoying."

She gritted her teeth but didn't let frustration deter her, continuing her assault with Marksmanship Arts. In her extreme anger, Kiana's strength and skills were remarkably heightened.

However, Xia Chen seamlessly utilized Virtual Barriers, Unreal Hands, Spatial Transfers...

It must be acknowledged, this felt like a one-sided battle against Kiana.

During their previous simulation, Xia Chen had learned numerous techniques from Sirin involving transitions between reality and virtuality. Unfortunately, without being recognized by the Will of Honkai, he couldn't directly connect with Virtual Space. Although stigma space could temporarily substitute, it fell short compared to the authentic Herrscher of the Void's capabilities.

However, it's more than enough to handle Kiana.

Kiana couldn't help but grow increasingly frustrated. Not only was she unable to land a hit on Xia Chen, but she also felt an eerie familiarity with this power, as if it were a missing part of herself.

She desperately wanted to reclaim that lost fragment.

Driven by her intense desire for strength, Kiana intensified her attacks, nearly managing to touch Xia Chen.

But just barely missed.

Activating Space-Time Imprisonment.

Although not as potent as Sirin's ability to completely halt time and space, it sufficed to hinder Kiana momentarily.

Yet, unexpectedly, as he confined her...

Kiana managed to break free.

Her eyes flashed with a golden hue, surprising Xia Chen as she reached out and touched his armor.

"This is..."

Kiana realized in that instant.

Just now, she utilized a power foreign to her, yet strangely familiar.

"Excellent."

Xia Chen looked at Kiana and calmly stated, "This is the power I intended to bestow upon you."

Now, all that remained was acquiring sufficient Honkai Energy.

Involuntarily, Xia Chen glanced up at Nagazora City's sky, slightly narrowing his eyes.

"Xia Chen, you should understand that while World Serpent appreciates you, it doesn't owe you anything." As Raven arrived in Nagazora City and looked at Xia Chen, she spoke with evident annoyance, "There is indeed a unique power within you, but it's not justification for arrogance."

"Are you done? Where's what I requested?"

Raven hesitated, silently fuming.

If not for her concern about potentially losing to Xia Chen, she would have already eliminated him long ago.

On the other side, Kiana eyed Raven suspiciously. "Xia Chen, is she your friend?"

"Not exactly a friend," Xia Chen replied mildly, "more like a business partner, I suppose."

"Or rather, a useful tool for manipulation," he added under his breath.

Raven remained speechless, wondering just who this person was.

If not for the Lord's directive to accommodate Xia Chen's requests as much as possible, she wouldn't have agreed to such a thing.

Fortunately, Xia Chen's demand this time wasn't excessive; he merely wanted some Honkai Energy collection devices.

As Kiana began touching upon the Authority akin to manipulating space, only one more Honkai event separated her from becoming the Herrscher of the Void. And Nagazora City served as the ideal Honkai source.

Even Raiden Mei managed to reclaim her Authority here, albeit with Kevin's guidance. This demonstrated that Nagazora City still possessed enough Honkai Energy to empower a Herrscher.

Speaking of which, the Honkai Energy originally intended for the Herrscher of Thunder was consumed by Kiana...

Isn't that a testament to pure love?

Xia Chen's method to persuade Raven was straightforward, or rather, it barely required any convincing as Raven readily agreed.

He wasn't entirely sure why the World Serpent held him in such high regard, but considering his unique abilities, it seemed somewhat understandable.

Despite Raven cautioning against letting uniqueness breed arrogance, it appeared there was indeed a growing sentiment within the World Serpent to assist him.

However, he wondered how long this trend would last.

Shortly after, Raven spoke calmly, "The device you requested has been installed successfully. So, what do you plan to do now?"

"You'll find out soon enough."

Xia Chen glanced at Kiana.

"Let's continue."

"All right."

Kiana and Xia Chen resumed their sparring session. This time, she attempted to recapture the sensation from earlier.

Yet, the more she searched, the more anxious and frustrated she became, causing her mind to spiral into chaos. It felt like the previous experience might have just been an illusion.

On the other hand, Xia Chen remained patient, even though they had already spent the entire night practicing.

At Saint Freya Academy's Valkyrie Dormitory:

Just as dawn broke, Mei had already risen from her bed.

After finishing her morning routine, she prepared to make breakfast but noticed Kiana's room door remained half-open, just like it was before going to sleep last night.

"Strange, why hasn't Kiana returned yet?" Concern crept into the young girl's thoughts.

Yesterday, Kiana mentioned wanting to train with Xia Chen and hadn't been heard from since. Mei felt worried about Kiana's safety.

Following her sparring session with Rita, Kiana had once exhausted herself completely. Given her determination, this time would likely be no different until she reached her limit again.

"I can't focus with these worries; I won't be able to continue anything." Sighing, Mei decided to call Kiana's communicator, unable to resist any longer.

However, at that moment, her own communicator sounded an alarm.

"Warning: At 4:56 AM today, the Science Division detected a large-scale Honkai outbreak, predicted concentration not less than 1400hw. Location: Nagazora City."

The alarm echoed throughout Saint Freya Academy.

In their beds, both Theresa and Himeko were abruptly awakened by the alert. "Theresa, something happened," Himeko called out.

"Ah, what now?" Theresa muttered, having only recently dealt with matters related to the Moonlight Throne incident.

"Where is it?"

"Nagazora City," Himeko replied solemnly. "According to the Science Division's investigation, Nagazora City has experienced high Honkai concentration, sufficient for the birth of a Herrscher."

"Again, Nagazora City?" Theresa murmured.

It seemed truly plagued by misfortunes.

Unconsciously, she said, "Himeko, you... never mind, I'll handle this personally this time." She feared another mishap on her own.

"By the way, where is Teacher Xia Chen?" She had hoped he would accompany them, fearing similar setbacks.

"He might still be resting at this hour, so I didn't disturb him," Himeko explained.

"Hmm, let's not bother him then. After all, it concerns the Far East Branch." Quickly, Theresa suited up in her armor.
