Chapter 17: Noldrei: Seriously, You Guys Are Stinky
"What? What did she say?"
Theresa's head was still spinning. She thought she heard the other person say they had buried a gem inside Raiden Mei's body.
The problem wasn't the gem itself, but that Raiden Mei had given the gem to someone else.
"Isn't she with Anti-Entropy?"
Theresa pointed her little finger at the carefree expression Raiden Mei had before she left.
She hadn't expected the low-level Valkyries on patrol to be able to stop her. Raiden Mei disappeared faster than she thought.
Even while dragging someone, she was able to slip away through the sewers.
"You can ask me, but I wouldn't know... I just got back."
Himeko also looked confused. It was one thing for someone to hijack all the phones in the city and declare themselves emperor, but then the young miss of the Raiden family turned into a tentacle monster.
Himeko was indeed a bit curious if Herrschers looked like tentacle monsters, but seeing a creature like this made her wonder if something was wrong with the world.
Was she living in some kind of hentai world?
"That's a tentacle monster, right? It has to be a legendary tentacle monster, right?"
Himeko watched the combat footage of 'Raiden Mei' and exclaimed, "Did you see that? While fighting, she kept growing new, strange parts that were good for fighting, and her body kept getting stronger. Those people's bullets were useless, she moved so gracefully, like she was dancing... It's a bit strange to say, but her body is too strong. Both her learning speed and her evolution speed are completely beyond what a human should have."
"If all Herrschers are like this, I really don't have much confidence in fighting them. Especially with that ability to change her body shape at will, switching between solid and liquid forms. If she could also control her body to turn into gas, that would be a nightmare for all of humanity."
"How would we even fight? Would we need to bring our own oxygen when wearing Valkyrie armor?"
Himeko felt a bit scared just thinking about that liquid splashing on her during a fight. It was time to give up on Valkyrie armor that left parts of the body exposed.
'I need full coverage! Even if it means having a bulge for farting, it needs to be fully covered!'
Theresa was still thinking about the fight. She hadn't expected Raiden Mei to cause such a big scene.
She had even piled up a small mountain of people at the school.
Just to lure out the mastermind who implanted the gem in her.
"Implanted a gem...?"
"I think I remember, didn't we, Schicksal, do something similar?"
Theresa remembered a former student of hers who had also been taken away to have a Honkai gem implanted.
She patted her head, temporarily pushing those bad memories aside.
Looking at how lively Raiden Mei was, she figured that the student who had the gem implanted was probably doing well too.
Theresa comforted herself a little.
She then asked, "Himeko, what do you think... what should we do about Raiden Mei?"
"Huh? You can ask me, but are we really going to fight her in Nagazora City?" Himeko tugged at her red hair, thinking about how to avoid that from happening.
"But, I'm more curious..." Theresa shook her head, which felt a bit numb, and said, "I'm more curious about who that person Raiden Mei was talking about is. Besides Anti-Entropy, is there another organization we don't know about?"
"Hmm, maybe... is there?" Himeko wasn't sure either.
............
Kiana did a great job. She grabbed Bronya and returned to Noldrei.
"You did well!"
Noldrei was very satisfied with his fellow being's execution. He thought it was time to give her more responsibility.
'When I become emperor, I'll make her my crown princess.'
Kiana didn't know that she had already become the crown princess. She just wanted to finish things quickly and complete her Honkai investigation mission.
Noldrei's tentacle inserted itself into Bronya's spinal cord.
Soon, under 'Raiden Mei's' disgusted gaze, Bronya also successfully turned into a little pony.
"This time, let's make you Rainbow Dash, representing - Loyalty!"
The blue pony slept in the small yard.
The real Raiden Mei, Twilight Sparkle, carefully nudged Bronya with her hoof.
'Great! I have a companion now!'
'Wait! Why do I have to become a pony too! How obsessed are you with ponies!'
Raiden Mei had really had enough. She thought this monster's bad taste was too much. He had even made stir-fried carrot shreds to take care of them, the two little ponies.
She gently sniffed the carrot shreds, and could confirm that the dish did smell pretty good.
Raiden Mei was indeed a bit hungry.
"Neigh!"
'No, I absolutely cannot be influenced by the habits of a horse!'
She had completely forgotten that she had eaten grass in the backyard earlier.
"I've completely memorized her scent. I'm sure you also experienced the benefits it brought you while experimenting with your new body, right?"
Noldrei didn't need to physically transform. He easily added the functions he wanted to the organs he needed.
"Yeah, yeah, can you change it next time? I always feel like you want to turn me into a horse and ride me one day."
Kiana just wanted to get her appearance back as soon as possible, but it was like a factory setting. She couldn't change back to her original form.
Noldrei nodded seriously and replied, "I was hoping that you could transform yourself one day, preferably into a beautiful white pony. I only watched that one cartoon while you were out. I really hope you can watch it too."
"Are you sick?! Are you sick?! Can't you like normal people?!"
Kiana had to stop his idea. She didn't want this guy to suddenly get a beastly urge and turn her into a white pony.
"But... women are stinky... their organs are hard to clean, and every month there's always an unbearable smell. How can you primitive humans tolerate such a thing? The first time I smelled you..."
Noldrei thought about it, but didn't directly say what he felt at the time.
He thought that even his own sludge form was cleaner than Kiana was at that time.
And that wasn't a boast. Because there were no unnecessary fungi on him. Even eating a piece of his jelly-like flesh would be healthier than the food of this era.
It was just that it looked a bit unacceptable to primitive humans.
"You...!"
Kiana almost fainted from anger. This was the first time someone had ever said she smelled.
But then she remembered the smells she had experienced when she enhanced her sense of smell at school, and she roughly understood what this future person had experienced.
'I... I actually understand, and empathize with this future monster god?'
Kiana felt like she was completely broken.
