Fu Hua turned and left on her own accord.
Watching Fu Hua's departing figure, Rita's gaze flickered pensively.
"Don't harm them? Holding onto unnecessary emotions on the battlefield is quite dangerous, Commander Fu," Rita murmured to herself.
"Actually, if Durandal faced the Immortal Blades, she would likely say something similar," Ana interjected from beside her.
"Lady Ana means...the gentleness of a strong warrior?" Rita asked, blinking.
"Mm—something like that!" Ana replied with a nod.
"In comparison to such 'gentleness,' Fu Hua is more complex. Besides, after years spent together, how could there be no bond?"
"She is the Goddess Red Kite who protected Shenzhou for millennia due to a single promise; she could never be heartless."
"...You're right." After pondering briefly, Rita agreed slowly. It wasn't that she lacked empathy; rather, her training as a covert operative had ingrained strict adherence to rules deep within her mind since childhood.
Moreover, these experiences were shaped by Rita's numerous challenging missions. In a sense, both Rita and Fu Hua's perspectives held truth—they simply reflected their distinct personalities.
Meanwhile, Tesla and Himeko had also reached their designated locations. With the power of their Titan mechs, they effortlessly shattered Schicksal's defenses. Himeko, too, regained her fighting spirit, engaging fiercely for hours on end.
With Tesla's hacking prowess, they successfully disabled the Honkai Reactor.
However, something felt off to Himeko. As a former Valkyrie of Schicksal Headquarters, she had a good understanding of their capabilities. Their defenses shouldn't be this weak.
But there was no time for further contemplation.
After disabling the reactor, the next step was withdrawal. If everything went smoothly, they would soon...
"We've dealt with those pesky obstacles; let's make our escape!" Having cleared the surrounding Tianming mechs, Himeko turned to Tesla beside her. Throughout this operation, they had been fighting on two fronts simultaneously.
As Tesla observed the Titan machinery displaying its might against the Tianming forces, he couldn't help but feel quite smug.
"Hmph, Schicksal is truly pathetic! Calling that pile of junk 'mechs' only brings shame to Titans..."
"Schicksal started developing their mechs earlier than Anti-Entropy, yet their mass production level falls short. Do you know why, Dr. Tesla?"
Just as Tesla was reveling in his pride, a gentle voice suddenly echoed through the room.
Hearing that familiar tone, Himeko's gaze sharpened, and she swiftly lifted her head to see the girl sitting on a slightly elevated platform above them, swinging her legs while smiling warmly at them.
Without a doubt, it was Ana.
Previously, Theresa hadn't gone into detail about Ana with Himeko, but she understood that Ana choosing to follow Schicksal wasn't something she opposed. Everyone has their own aspirations, much like Fu Hua.
However, having witnessed Ana's power firsthand, Himeko knew all too well that Ana posed a formidable threat. Even with numerous Titan mechs present, they were meaningless against someone capable of instantly destroying MSR-7 Wotan.
No longer could Ana be merely described as a fierce adversary; she should now be considered an invincible enemy.
"Huh? Who are you?"
Tesla, unfamiliar with Ana and still caught up in his arrogance, responded brusquely.
"Because the bishop allocated funds and technology for this purpose towards training Valkyries instead, am I right, Lady Ana?"
Another gentle voice chimed in as a Valkyrie clad in maid attire appeared atop Tesla's beloved mechanical steed.
"So this is Anti-Entropy's latest model?"
"It looks like it'll be quite troublesome to clean up."
The girl spoke innocently, yet her words were ferocious. A long scythe materialized in her hand, and with a swift swing, several arcs of light flashed across the machinery. Instantly, Tesla's prized mech was dismantled into scattered pieces.
With a deafening explosion, the wreckage burst into flames. Unfazed, the girl continued walking towards them, still smiling politely with narrowed eyes.
Himeko furrowed her brow, raised her greatsword defensively, and slowly uttered the newcomer's name:
"Rita."
Tesla looked on, utterly astonished, clearly unable to believe that Rita had so effortlessly destroyed his cherished vehicle.
"Tesla, watch out!"
Himeko pulled Tesla behind her and charged fearlessly at Rita, refusing to give up despite their hopeless odds.
Before she could strike, however, another familiar voice sounded from behind her.
"It ends here, Major."
Unbeknownst to Himeko, Fu Hua had silently appeared behind her.
"Please cease your resistance."
Feeling Fu Hua's presence at her back, glancing ahead at Rita, and then up towards Ana, a wry smile crept across Himeko's face.
"I never imagined that Tesla and I would warrant the attention of three S-rank Valkyries from Schicksal. What an honor."
"This indicates how crucial you both are to our bishop," Ana observed calmly from above. The Red Knight was prepared specifically for Himeko after all, and Otto held Theresa in high regard; he couldn't truly let her perish.
Moreover, could Theresa genuinely not stand against the Second Herrscher? It's worth noting that she possesses the Blood Knight armor, Judah, and MANTIS fusion technology from the previous civilization.
During the Second Honkai Eruption, artificially induced Honkai being Siegfried managed to suppress Sirin effectively. If Theresa were equally determined, she too could subdue Herrscher of the Void without any sacrifices.
Unfortunately, Theresa remains unaware of Otto's extensive plans for her and has yet to be pushed truly beyond her limits.
Thus, this path was destined for failure, and Otto couldn't bring himself to execute it either.
At this thought, a hint of mockery appeared on Ana's face.
Rita once said that emotions have no place on the battlefield. However, their Lord Bishop, driven by excessive sentimentality, gradually led an exceptional Valkyrie towards the abyss step by step.
"Put down your weapons, Major. I won't harm you; coming here was a mistake from the start..." Fu Hua knew Rita's cold nature and the power of Abyss Flower wielded by Ana. To spare Himeko unnecessary suffering, she earnestly tried to persuade them.
Recalling how Durandal showed no mercy towards Theresa at Saint Freya Academy, combined with Ana's unpredictable intentions...
