"The Manila Honkai..."
Theresa murmured softly, her eyes sparkling with recognition. She did recall this particular Honkai incident, as Manila's location was relatively close to the Far East Branch. From what she remembered, the reports gathered by the branch indicated...
"So you're the Valkyrie who saved so many civilians!" Theresa exclaimed, suddenly realizing.
Due to communication restrictions and information blackouts at the time, she hadn't known the specific designation of the Valkyrie Squad stationed in Manila. All she heard about was a Valkyrie akin to an angel emerging amidst that catastrophe.
"Compared to the sacrifices made by my comrades, my actions were insignificant." Ana shook her head, sighing deeply.
"My condolences."
Theresa patted Ana gently on the back. Having conducted some investigations into that Honkai event, she had a vague understanding of the situation—namely, that the Valkyrie Squad stationed there seemed to have suffered total annihilation.
For Theresa, it resonated with her own past; unable to bear witnessing other Valkyries die needlessly, she chose to confront Parvarti herself. Consequently, she fully empathized with Ana's feelings.
Compared to Kiana and the other Valkyries' experiences, Ana's journey truly—
No wonder Ana became such a capable, independent S-rank Valkyrie at such a young age. As for official duties—that kind of thing could simply be delegated to Judah, right?
Naturally, Theresa didn't voice these thoughts aloud; they might have been slightly provocative. As both Principal of the academy and head of the Far East Branch, she needed to maintain her seriousness.
Suddenly, the Hyperion shuddered, followed by an alarm blaring from the Main Control Room ahead. Theresa's expression turned grave as she swiftly rushed towards it.
Ana followed close behind, though even without witnessing the scene, she knew exactly what had occurred.
At this moment, there could only be one unexpected event: Chiyou's awakening.
In Schicksal's records, Chiyou is classified as an Archon Honkai Beast, believed to have emerged thousands of years ago. Back then, warriors of Shenzhou paid a tremendous price to seal him away.
However, those are merely entries in the Schicksal Files. In Ana's view, Chiyou should undoubtedly be categorized as a Nihility-class Honkai Beast.
In terms of size, Chiyou possesses an unimaginably colossal body, with immense power that cannot be underestimated. During ancient Shenzhou times, defeating him required the ultimate sacrifice of Fuxi, Nuwa, and Ji Lin.
To understand their significance, it's no exaggeration to say that these three were akin to MANTIS wielding Divine Keys—even if just the Key of Domination.
Even with their combined efforts, they merely sealed Chiyou rather than killing it.
Later, when the World Serpent acquired Chiyou's remains, its remnants swiftly reversed the deterioration caused by the Sea of Quanta on Kevin, the Lord and strongest Fusion Warrior of the previous civilization.
Comparing this to Bella, another Archon-level Honkai Beast, there was simply no contest between them.
However, the primary reason Chiyou is classified as Archon level lies in Schicksal's categorization system at that time, which did not include the Nihility class.
It's akin to Bianka's strength surpassing S-rank Valkyries yet still being designated only as S rank herself.
On the screens of the Hyperion, the once tranquil Jiuyou Ruins suddenly erupted in tremors. Amidst earth-shattering upheaval, a colossal beast hundreds of kilometers long emerged from the depths of Nine Realms.
Its size and appearance instantly reminded Ana of the prehistoric giant lizard from her previous life's "Challenging Mode" in Counter-Strike; the resemblance was strikingly similar.
If these two creatures weren't from different universes, Ana might have thought they were twin siblings.
"Oh no!"
As Theresa observed the rapidly increasing Honkai Energy readings on the screen, she had a sudden realization and exclaimed anxiously.
Before Ana could inquire further, Theresa sprang into action, repeatedly attempting to establish contact with Kiana inside the Jiuyou Ruins.
Unfortunately, as if hindered by some unseen force, communication proved impossible, leaving Kiana and her companions' fate uncertain.
Theresa scrutinized the data on the screen, her face pale and lips trembling slightly. However, moments later, all signs of distress vanished, and she regained her usual composed demeanor, almost as if it were merely a figment of Ana's imagination.
"So that was Theresa's reaction back then," thought Ana silently, observing Theresa contemplatively.
As a former seasoned Captain, she had naturally completed the side quests in Honkai Impact, which notably rewarded generous amounts of crystals. In those quests, Theresa always appeared remarkably calm. It came as quite a surprise to discover this hidden turmoil beneath her composed exterior.
"Principal, they must have been swallowed by Chiyou."
From a distance, Fu Hua approached steadily, pushing her glasses up as she spoke solemnly.
"However, there's no need to worry. According to records, Chiyou once devoured vast portions of the Shenzhou continent, suggesting its interior should be exceptionally spacious."
"As for communication issues, they're likely due to Chiyou's surface."
Fu Hua calmly offered her analysis.
Ana listened silently, a hint of admiration on her face. She couldn't help but think: No wonder she's the Red Kite Immortal—truly knowledgeable and experienced. Fu Hua's response was practically the textbook answer.
"Indeed, Lady Theresa, they must be trying their best to establish contact with us as well," Ana interjected at the opportune moment, seamlessly integrating herself into the conversation within the Far East Branch.
"Yes, we should continue seeking ways to reach them." Theresa nodded, uttering a somewhat empty sentiment. Her gaze fell upon the nearby screen, where Ai-chan swiftly analyzed Chiyou's data using connected equipment.
"And once we do, we'll spare no effort to rescue them!" Theresa spoke with unwavering determination. Ana had no doubt about Theresa's resolve; however, seeing such an expression on Theresa's adorable face did strike her as quite intriguing.
The thought lingered briefly in Ana's mind before dissipating like smoke. Well, her preference certainly wasn't for legal loli types like Theresa; she leaned more towards Fu Hua's mature allure.
"However... Chiyou..."
Ana scrutinized the analysis diagram of Chiyou, her eyes flickering as she contemplated a possibility.
In the original storyline, it was Kiana and her group from within who located Chiyou's core, leading to its severe damage by the Hyperion's main cannon.
But could there be a chance that her power alone might rival the potency of the Hyperion's main cannon?
After all, she possessed both the Primordial Holy Blood and Schicksal's latest Godslayer Armor. According to Nagamitsu, the inspiration for her Godslayer Armor came from a suit of armor in the previous civilization era, named the Key of Blankness.
Indeed, her armor belongs to the same series as True Red Knight Moon Eclipse, although it hasn't been officially named yet. Nagamitsu mentioned that such armors' names should ideally be chosen by the bishop. However, Ana suspected the real reason was that this particular set of Godslayer Armor lacked any gemstones.
