" Are you sure? Isn't it a bit too far?" Abigail asked seeing glancing at his choice.

" We can take a short road trip. They had been here whole week and it's not exactly exciting to keep wandering around the estate. There is not much to see there."

" I believe you are the only one that would say that your home is a dull place. In my eyes, many people would be lost exploring the whole area for weeks if not months." Abigail sighed.

" That might be so but I want to explore and see new places. A week would be enough but make sure to book few extra night just in case."

" Boss? The property is on sale. Why don't you just buy it?" Manan interrupted when he saw more information about it.

" Did they go bust or something?"

" It's not listed we have to do more research on it."

" Fine, do what you have to. Either way, I would like to spend the first week of the year there."

" We will do our best boss!" With Manan's enthusiastic response, he was assured that they would make it happen. He gathered up the documents and headed back to home.

It wasn't an impulsive choice on his part. With Adele gaining more fame in the future it would be nice for her to have a private place where she could record without worry. The general area also looked fine, there were also quite a lot of things to do around it so it could become a nice place for retreats.

He drove home thinking about whether to take everyone for a shopping spree. Everything would be crowded because of the holidays but how could they not splurge around Christmas? He just hoped that everyone was up for it.

He called Amanda first but she wasn't picking up so he decided to as Arthur, the man who was aware of everything inside the Estate. He told him that it was a small party to welcome Kayla. They had been having awfully lot of welcome parties this week. He hoped that his family didn't feel the urge to keep doing it for his sake.

The home he was 'banished' to was after all there for his and other's privacy but it became a big extended family where the girls would drop in on other family members. He didn't discuss anything with them about inviting both Mayra and Kayla along with Iblis and Adele who simply invited themselves, not to mention his sister, Hannah, the root of all troubles!

Before he even reached the main mansion, he began hearing laughing and giggling of childrens. It looked like all the people in the small town were invited which was in stark contrast to the party they threw for Kiko, the imperial princess.

He slowly drove and parked the car. He was immediately surrounded by childrens.

" Boss is here!"

" Bwoss!"

" Big brother!"

" Hey! Stop making trouble for young master." Few of the maids tried to stop the children from swarming him. They were familiar faces that he would often see when he went around the town, most of them were children of soldiers or people that worked for the family.

" It's fine." He raised his hands which made the maid open the flood gates.

" Are you guys here for the sweets?" He pulled out a big bag. It was his safety net that he always kept inside his cars for these sorts of situations. He had been burned too many times in the past!

Surprisingly, they refused. It seemed they were already binging on some food. He could see crumbs around their mouths which appeared to be cake?

" You guys already seem to be enjoying yourself." He squatted down to pat their heads. Few of the young ones even tried to jumping over him so he obliged and took about four on his shoulders while carrying few around his legs.

They were giggling extensively riding on top of him. He carried them where everyone else were and immediately their parents came to peel them off of him. Samuel told them that he didn't mind but they were resolute. At least they didn't scold them which was good.

" You seem to be popular with the kids, which is not surprising since you were able to get close to Elise." He heard someone sneak up on him. It was Kayla looking at him with a cheeky smile.

" It's probably because they all want sweets. Normally they would fight for it but I guess it's really not a issue seeing all this delicacies." He could see that the whole garden was set up as a food court.

Anyone could just walk up to it and grab whatever they liked. Children were lining up for some ice creams while parents and their guardians brought their own sheet to just sit and enjoy rare warm sunlight.

" Are you feeling alright? You drank quite a lot." He asked her.

" It's normal for me. I wasn't even that drunk." She shrugged trying to play it cool.

" What you did was uncool. Do you even remember anything?"

" Hmm? I heard that you carried me upstairs."

" You made quite a scene. Just after I left for the kitchen..." He began to make up absurd stories seeing that she didn't remember much after her second bottle of wine.

" Impossible! I would never run around naked in this cold weather."

" You did. We barely able to pull you off the pool's edge before you were threatening to jump over. Everyone saw it."

" Is tha that why everyone has been giving me these looks?" Kayla began to believe him. Samuel knew everyone would stare at her because she was a stranger but what she was wearing was even more outrageous.

He didn't know what other girls told her but she was in a sexy party dress with exposed back while her well toned body glistened under sunlight which only extenuated her beauty. She didn't wear much make-up and had her hair tied up in a ponytail giving her a sporty look.

It was not like she was exposing herself, but people couldn't help but admire her beauty from what they were seeing which was a little different from the ladylike personality of all his other girlfriends.

" You are beautiful that's why they are staring at you. Beside, most of them seemed to want to talk to you." He chuckled which made her realize that he was joking with her.

" You know, you can be a real douche sometimes!"

" Yep, that's me. Right, did you meet everyone?"

" Not everyone but I met your parents." She said with a serious look.

" Did they not like you or something?"

" I think so. Mayra told me that they were very pleased when she met them for some reason it was not the same for me."

" That's- What about my grandparents?"

" It was the same."

" Come with me. There must be some misunderstanding- you bitch." He saw her hiding her laughter. Samuel never knew she was that good of an actorness!

" What? Why are you cursing me when you started it first!?"

" Fair enough."

" I never expected them to be so casual. Your mother even asked us to go shopping together this evening."

She seemed excited about it. He was a little sad but he decided to not ask them and let the ladies have a good time together. He could take the rest of the day off and play with the horses. It was kind of refreshing to think about it because he was hardly alone these days.

" You seem sad about it. I will ask if you-"

" It's fine! I just want you guys to have a good time."

They walked casually greeting the people as they went inside where everyone was. He saw Grayson and Elise hanging out with some kids at the corner while the ladies had their own little group. Right as they were about to go inside, Samuel felt a tap on his shoulder.

" You!" It was his uncle Peter who looked exhausted for some reason.

" Uncle? What happened to you?"

" You already know don't try to play dumb. How could you just up and left for your business while I got scolded for hours!?"

" I am sorry. I thought if it was you, you can handle it."

" Of course! I am not afraid of anything." Peter tried to make himself look good.

" Oh? Who do you have here?" His eyes lit up seeing Kayla. He looked at her from top to bottom and nodded continuously. It was a little unsettling but Samuel knew his uncle was a sucker for anyone who trained martial arts, no matter the gender he always liked to inspect their muscles gauzing their power levels.

" Sami-" Kayla felt his eyes over her body which definitely made her uncomfortable. She didn't know about the muscle maniac of the Rothschild family probably because he was being punished for the wolves incident.

" You bastard!" Before Kayla could say anything, Peter was hit with a flying plate which landed at his back.
