The Milsy Wetlands was a vast swamp filled with fog, preventing others from seeing what was ahead of them. But at this moment, three people stood, tense, carefully eyeing each other.

At that moment, the sound of a phone ringing broke the tense atmosphere between the three.

While the two stared at it warily, Hisoka pulled a wireless phone from his pocket and answered the call.

{Hisoka, it's best that you return now as we seem to be nearing the Second Phase location.}

"Okay, I'll be there soon," Hisoka said, closing the line, putting the phone back in his pocket, and smiling at the other two. "Unfortunately, it looks like I must leave now. See you later."

After speaking, Hisoka slowly walked toward the forest and disappeared into the fog. However, this did not cause Touta and Kuroumaru to immediately lower their guard. They waited until they were certain that Hisoka had moved far enough away so that it would take him more than two seconds to attack them.

"Let's go as well, since, as I just heard, Satotz-san should be arriving at the Second Phase location soon," said Touta, heading in the opposite direction to Hisoka's path. It wasn't in their best interest to follow him, in case Hisoka changed his mind and decided to fight them.

Although the two were immortals and weren't afraid of fighting to the death, entering a battle to the death against Hisoka would be extremely exhausting. Not to mention, they didn't have much time, or they would be eliminated from the Hunter Exam. Therefore, the two decided not to get involved with Hisoka, at least not for now.

"Thank you all for your hard work," said Satotz upon reaching a metal gate bearing the Hunter Association emblem. "The Second Phase will take place here. I will excuse myself now and wish you all the best of luck."

After speaking, Satotz walked toward the forest like a mechanical man and disappeared from sight.

After Satotz left, the metal gate opened, revealing a simple building with a large courtyard, several kitchens, and a giant man sitting at the end of the path. A beautiful woman with an arrogant face stood nearby.

"Welcome to the Second Phase," the woman said with the same smile, not even bothering to stand. "I will be your examiner, and my name is Menchi."

"And I will also be your examiner. My name is Buhara," said the giant, overweight man sitting on the ground behind Menchi.

"It seems the Second Phase is about cooking," Kuroumaru commented, as everyone stared at Buhara and Menchi. He was also observing the surroundings and noticed many cooking tools lined along the path.

"That seems to be the case," Touta nodded with a slight smile, feeling confident in his cooking abilities. He had always been the one to prepare meals while living with Yukihime, as her cooking was a dangerous weapon capable of destroying cities, more than something for human consumption.

Gurrrr*

"What's that sound?" one of the applicants asked, frightened. The sound now resembled the roar of a beast.

It wasn't just him; many applicants were nervous when they heard the terrifying noise.

"Seems like you're hungry already," Menchi smirked sarcastically, looking at Buhara behind her.

"I'm starving, and I feel like my stomach is stuck to my back," Buhara grumbled, rubbing his massive belly with a painful expression.

"And so, the Second Phase of the Hunter Exam begins," Menchi said with a smile. "As for the subject of this phase, it will be cooking. Anyone who can get both of us to approve of the food they cook will succeed."

Upon hearing the details of the exam, many people became confused and started complaining and arguing with Menchi.

"Looks like your guess was right," Touta smiled lightly, happy to have Kuroumaru around, as he had a broad perspective and didn't focus on just one thing.

"That's true, but I wonder what kind of food we'll have to cook," Kuroumaru smiled with happiness at Touta's compliment.

"I don't know, but I hope it's not pig dream," Touta said with a look of disgust, as he wasn't a fan of pork and had never eaten it before.

"You hate pork?" Kuroumaru asked, puzzled, as pork was used in many dishes. It was rare to find someone who disliked it. Though he didn't know if this planet was the same as Earth, he hadn't seen much difference between the people here since his arrival.

"Kind of. I can't stand pork because, as you know, pigs eat filth, and I just don't feel right eating meat from such a creature. I also hate touching it," Touta said with a bitter smile. Fortunately, Yukihime didn't like pork either, so he hadn't faced any issues so far.

"As for the dish you're going to cook, you will use pork as the main ingredient," Buhara said at that moment, as if doing it to annoy Touta. "You're free to choose which pigs from the nearby forest you want to hunt. Now, go."

Upon hearing Buhara, everyone rushed into the nearby forest to hunt pigs quickly, fearing there wouldn't be enough for everyone.

"Touta-kun, are you alright?" Kuroumaru asked with concern when he saw Touta frozen in place.

"I'm fine," Touta smiled bitterly, glaring at Buhara. "Excuse me, but can I get gloves and protective clothing like those used for harvesting honey from a beehive?"
