Chapter 86: Tsunade's Research And Development Results
He walked into Konoha Hospital without any trouble, moving through the halls as if he were familiar with the place.
"Is this the result of your research over the past six months?" Yuma asked, looking at the glassware before him with great interest.
Inside the container was a small, spherical mass of light green substance.
With Yuma's heightened perception, he could sense an unparalleled vitality radiating from it. Despite having no consciousness of its own, the sheer strength of its life force even surpassed that of Tsunade, who stood beside him.
Hearing Yuma's question, Tsunade turned away from the computer screen filled with data.
She frowned slightly, displeased. "You rude brat, you just interrupted my train of thought!"
"Sorry, sorry..." Yuma said helplessly, noticing the murderous look in her eyes. "I was just surprised by the immense vitality emanating from this thing, so I asked."
His apologetic tone softened Tsunade's frown.
She put down the notebook in her hand, walked over to Yuma's side, and examined the glowing green sphere with a serious expression.
"This is a weapon. A very sharp one! With this, someone can..."
Tsunade hesitated for a moment, then bit her thumb before continuing, "Directly gain access to Wood Style! Along with the powerful vitality of the Senju clan!"
The past six months had felt like a dream to her.
Ever since this damn Uchiha kid had handed her that strange corpse to study, her life seemed to have taken a completely different path.
She had no choice.
The more she studied the mysterious remains, the more unsettled she felt.
That corpse was too... perfect.
Too mature.
It was as if it had been deliberately created—a ready-made biological weapon.
As a medical expert, Tsunade was no stranger to human experimentation.
How else could one develop medical ninjutsu that operated on a cellular level?
Because of her expertise, she quickly recognized that the strange corpse was a fully engineered biological weapon.
As her research deepened, her sense of unease grew stronger.
Using a microscope, she discovered something that completely shattered her assumptions.
That biological weapon had existed for at least a thousand years.
Wood Style had existed for thousands of years.
Its life force was identical to that of the Senju clan.
Did that mean...?
Were the Senju merely a product of genetic modification?
Tsunade felt a chill run down her spine. She couldn't hold back any longer and immediately shared her findings with Yuma.
After all, the strange corpse had been captured by him.
If she didn't tell him, he wouldn't share the detailed information she needed.
Without more details, she couldn't determine if her theory was correct.
Hearing Tsunade's revelation, Yuma was both impressed by her research skills and amused by her speculation.
He had always known Tsunade was a genius in the field of medical ninjutsu.
The medical practices of the ninja world were remarkably advanced—almost modern.
Such a sophisticated system had to be built upon extensive anatomical research.
After all, without anatomical studies, techniques like the Mystical Palm Technique could never have been developed.
The entire medical ninja system owed a huge debt to Tsunade.
If not for her, the field might not have advanced at all.
So it stood to reason—if Tsunade had contributed so much to medical ninjutsu, wasn't she just as experienced in human experimentation as Orochimaru?
Now, he had proof.
Tsunade might not be as versatile as Orochimaru in other scientific pursuits, but when it came to human body research, she was undoubtedly his equal.
It had only been six months since he had given her the remains of a White Zetsu.
And yet, she had already deduced the estimated lifespan of White Zetsu.
Through her verification, she had confirmed that White Zetsu was a biological weapon created by Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
When Kaguya was sealed away, the Black Zetsu she had spawned escaped the battlefield, taking a portion of White Zetsu with it.
When Uchiha Madara later summoned the Gedo Statue, he believed he had created White Zetsu using Hashirama's cells.
What he didn't realize was that Hashirama's cells only enhanced the pre-existing White Zetsu, making it stronger.
This was why Yuma found Tsunade's speculation both amusing and frustrating.
It was all Madara's fault.
By fusing Hashirama's cells into White Zetsu, he had unknowingly made it resemble the Senju even more.
However, Yuma didn't feel the need to explain this in detail.
Instead, he replied vaguely, "The Senju have existed for thousands of years. If there was a real issue, wouldn't it have come to light by now?"
Then, shifting the topic, he added, "What interests me more is—what exactly can this 'weapon' do?"
Tsunade snapped out of her thoughts.
She smacked her forehead and chuckled, "I've been overthinking it. The Senju and this thing have been around for over a thousand years. If there was some hidden scheme, it would have surfaced long ago."
A wry smile formed on her lips.
The once-mighty Senju clan had dwindled to the point where she was practically the only one left.
Why should she even care?
If someone had been plotting against her clan for a thousand years, they could only come after her now—and she wasn't afraid.
Regaining her composure, Tsunade turned her attention back to the glass container and operated the controls.
—Ssshhh...
With a hiss, a white mist escaped as the vessel opened.
When the mist cleared, Tsunade reached in and grabbed the glowing green sphere.
"You wanted to see how this weapon works?" she asked with a confident smirk. "Then watch closely!"
She clenched the sphere in her hand.
—Snap!
The sphere unraveled instantly, transforming into glowing green ribbons that wrapped around her entire body.
Moments later, Tsunade emerged with a transformed appearance.
She now wore a light green bodysuit that clung tightly to her frame, accentuating her form.
Yuma's mind briefly wavered, but his sensory perception quickly snapped him back to reality.
Compared to her appearance, what shocked him most was the immense surge of vitality and chakra radiating from her.
"This is incredible!" Yuma's eyes widened in disbelief.
Before, Tsunade had never registered as a threat in his perception.
But now...
He felt an undeniable sense of danger.
It was faint, but unmistakable.
Given his immense power, the fact that he could feel even the slightest threat meant that this 'suit' was far stronger than it appeared.
Curious, he challenged her, "You said this weapon can use Wood Style, right?"
His Sharingan glowed as he smirked. "Then show me what Senju's Wood Style can really do!"
Tsunade rolled her eyes. "Brat, if you want to see Wood Style in action, teleport us outside!"
Yuma grinned. "No problem."
—Whoosh!
In a flash, Yuma activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.
To properly test Wood Style's capabilities, he transported them beyond Konoha's detection barrier.
To the Valley of the End.
"Hah! You brought us here?" Tsunade chuckled as she gazed at the massive statues of Hashirama and Madara.
"Good choice!"
