Chapter 592: Chapter 592: Homecoming and Voldemort's Influence on the Wizarding World
After muddling through the last day of the school year, the Hogwarts young wizards and witches boarded the train and welcomed the first day of the summer holiday.
However, unlike previous holidays, the atmosphere on the train was significantly less jubilant. Many people were sullen and didn't say a word, and there was a faint feeling of unease in the train compartments.
Voldemort has reappeared!
Things are actually quite fine at Hogwarts... With Dumbledore protecting the school and the new powerful wizard Andy present, Voldemort would never dare to come to Hogwarts and cause trouble.
During the last wizard war, Hogwarts never experienced a single attack, either.
But things are not looking that good outside!
In June, the Death Eaters finally started to make their presence known.
And the way they made their presence known... was by killing and burning anything in their path.
During this period, many Muggles were killed by Death Eaters, and many buildings were destroyed by them for no other reason than just for kicks.
The Muggle world was in chaos, and the wizarding world was not peaceful either.
Just from what Andy knew, five wizards were killed, and many wizards narrowly escaped death after being ambushed by Death Eaters.
And one of the five wizards killed was the parent of a Hogwarts student.
Andy still remembers the morning the owl arrived and how the young wizard nearly fainted in the Great Hall from crying.
Also, just ten days ago, Voldemort personally led a group of Death Eaters to Diagon Alley and kidnapped Ollivander, the old man who sold wands.
After that day, most of the shops in Diagon Alley either closed down or relocated.
He's a terrorist!
That's what Andy thinks of Voldemort.
Voldemort has no political agenda, and he doesn't even have the ambition to rule the wizarding world. The so-called Pureblood Theory is just an excuse for Voldemort to rally more people to his side.
Yes! Andy doesn't think Voldemort wants to rule the wizarding world.
Because after ruling, there is the need to govern!
And Voldemort obviously has no intention of governing the wizarding world.
In Andy's opinion, Voldemort probably just feels that with his strength, he should be at the top of the wizarding world... no, the whole world.
That's why he organized the Death Eaters and embarked on the road to hegemony.
Governing the wizarding world?
Sorry! Voldemort never had such an idea.
Such a person is indeed terrifying!
The moment Andy stepped off the train, he felt that the platform had become a lot more desolate.
The parents who came to pick up their children were all in a hurry, and after meeting their children, they immediately left. Even if they met acquaintances, they just nodded casually, as if that was enough to convey their message.
"It's only been a few months... how come I feel like the world has changed!" Hermione squinted her brows and said with deep emotion in her voice.
It used to be so lively here!
But now...
In just a short moment, most of the young wizards had been picked up by their parents, and the rest were waiting in line behind them, everyone in a hurry.
"Let's go out!" Andy whispered.
"Hm!" Hermione nodded.
Under the current circumstances, the young witch wasn't in the mood to chat.
***
Pop!
After parting from Hermione, Andy used the Apparition spell to return to his front door.
As soon as he opened the door...
"Andy, you're back!"
Isabel, whom he hadn't seen for a long time, jumped up from the sofa and threw herself headlong at Andy.
Andy was taken aback and quickly used the levitation charm to control Isabel and then gently scooped the little girl from midair.
"What are you doing?" Andy glared.
"Andy, is it true?"
Isabel was so excited that she couldn't calm down. She hugged Andy and exclaimed with stars in her eyes, "Is what the newspaper says true? That you fought the Dark Lord? So many people are saying that!"
Andy was a little speechless. "Didn't I write to you about that?"
I've told you about it a million times!
The little girl puffed out her cheeks and let Andy go. "But the Quibbler says it's just a hoax of the Ministry of Magic. They're just hyping it up to cover up a bigger conspiracy."
Andy: "..."
The Quibbler... Ever since she met Luna, Isabel has become a big fan of The Quibbler and always has the magazine with her.
Andy has also read the magazine.
Well... it's quite entertaining!
"Don't read such rubbish!" Andy scolded.
While the siblings were talking, Helen also walked out of the Potions Room.
"You little brat, you've got some nerve!"
Helen glared at Andy with bloodshot eyes before adding with a faint smile, "But you have definitely become stronger... You've worked hard since you were little, and now you've fulfilled your dream."
"...That's good!"
Andy walked up to Helen, gave her a tight and comforting hug, and patted her back lightly before smiling softly and saying, "That's not nearly enough; I still have a lot of ideas that I haven't realised yet."
"By the way, how is Dad? He hasn't encountered any danger, has he?"
Helen snorted lightly and said indifferently, "Don't worry about him. He uses the Portkey to commute to work now, and the Dark Lord won't be able to easily take down the Ministry of Magic."
During the last wizard war, the Ministry of Magic also resisted until the end.
Helen didn't think the Ministry could deal with Voldemort, but it should be able to defend its home base.
Speaking of which, Helen suddenly sighed and said, "Kyle told me the other day that a big event that had been scheduled was cancelled... I was hoping to see you steal the show!"
"Er..."
Andy was taken aback. "Is it the Quidditch World Cup?"
What does that have to do with him?
"No! It's the Triwizard Tournament."
Helen said with regret, "It hasn't been held for many years, and this time it was originally scheduled to be hosted by Hogwarts. But...as you know, after the appearance of the Dark Lord on our side, no other school is willing to come to our side anymore."
"Kyle said that the Headmaster of Durmstrang strongly opposed it... It is rumoured that he used to be a Death Eater."
Andy: "..."
At this moment, Andy was truly a little speechless.
A guy suspected of being a Death Eater had managed to get to the headmaster's position...It had to be acknowledged that this person was still somewhat capable.
"What about the Quidditch World Cup?" Andy asked again.
"It's still being discussed!"
Helen explained, "Your dad has been very busy recently, and he has been negotiating on this matter. If he hadn't known that you were coming back, he would probably have stayed at the Ministry of Magic to work overtime today."
"But...the chances of that happening are pretty high!"
"After all, this was something that had been scheduled a long way in advance. If the host country were to suddenly change, it would look like all those countries were afraid of the Dark Lord."
Andy raised an eyebrow at this.
That's true!
The Triwizard Tournament was not something that was announced to the wider public, so if it were cancelled, it would not have any impact on society.
But the same could not be said for the Quidditch World Cup.
The location of this year's Quidditch finals has long been announced to be held in Britain. If the host country were suddenly changed, it would indeed have a very bad impact.
Are the Ministries of Magic of various countries afraid of Voldemort?
That would be a joke!
"August?" Andy asked.
"Don't worry, it should be before the start of the school year!" Helen said with a chuckle.
"Okay!" Andy raised an eyebrow again.
The fusion of mind and magic... It really needs to be put on the agenda.
Andy had a feeling that this time the Quidditch finals would not be all that peaceful.
Who is Voldemort?
He only wants chaos!
He probably won't let go of this perfect opportunity to become world-famous and strike fear into the hearts of all people.
