Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

There are many problems in this world.

If you solve one, another one will appear.

Andy had temporarily given up on researching the difference between wizards and magical creatures without solving the previous problem.

It was very rare to have unstable magic.

So what should Andy do for the time being?

Wandless spellcasting was very cool, but it was only temporary. Once the magic stabilised, Andy would lose this ability.

'Maybe... I can practice the ancient wizards' way of using magic.'

Before the wand was invented, all wizards used to cast spells without a wand. Even in modern times, African shamans still learn to cast spells using hand gestures.

That's a special way of casting spells.

Hogwarts was founded a thousand years ago, and at that time, wands had already become the dominant tool in the wizarding world.

However, the four founders were very competent, and they had a high standard when it came to their pursuit of magic.

So they collected a lot of ancient Greek magic tomes, which are now stored in the restricted section of the Hogwarts library.

Andy has read a few of them before.

Stepping out of the laboratory, Andy used magic to seal the place.

Perhaps he would never come back here again.

Back in his dorm room, Andy took a shower, then lay on his bed but couldn't sleep.

Although the magic transfiguration process was a bit harrowing, it went relatively smoothly overall. There were no accidents during the entire process, and the crisis came only during the consumption of the potion.

Andy was able to persevere and pull through.

Moreover, the effects of the magic transfiguration were better than expected.

Although some of the effects overlapped with the functions of the system, they also helped Andy save a lot of [Potential points]. As for the effects that the system could not display, Andy also experimented with them one by one.

Overall, it was a success.

However, Andy still felt a little disappointed.

Perhaps it was because he had not absorbed enough magic power; although Andy had initially evolved into a magical being, he had not awakened the relevant magical characteristics.

It's a bit sad when you think about it.

On the way back from the Forbidden Forest to the castle, Andy was also torn between whether or not to perform another magic transfiguration.

Perhaps next time, Andy could have his own magic abilities like a real magical creature.

Just look at Voldemort's hideous appearance!

Indeed, Andy woke up early today!

"There are always exceptions!" Andy laughed.

Hermione closed her book and got up, saying, "Shall we go eat first?"

"Yeah, I'm going to the library later."

Andy walked over and took Hermione's book, saying, "Let's go!"

After breakfast, Andy and Hermione went to the Hogwarts library together, and with the note Professor Flitwick gave them, they searched the restricted section.

Since he had decided to take this time to learn about ancient wizards' methods of using magic, Andy naturally didn't want to waste any time.

The unstable magic power will only last for about a month, so time is very precious.

Soon, Andy found several ancient books on how to command magic power. He pointed his wand at the books to take them off the shelf.

Walking out of the restricted book section, Andy looked around and quickly found Hermione's position.

A very remote corner.

Andy walked towards Hermione while habitually opening the system panel to take a look—the current attributes are really eye-catching.

"Fuck!!!"

Andy rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

There was an extra stat on the system panel!

Originally, there were five stats on each side of the system, but now there are six on the right side.

Below the [Magic] stat, there was an extra [Constitution] stat.

"Collins..."

Before Andy could investigate the function of the 'Constitution' attribute, a slightly shrill voice suddenly sounded from behind him: "Oh dear, I can't believe someone would utter such. such. Such words in a library!"

"Sorry, Madam Pince,"

Andy apologised hastily, "I suddenly remembered something that made me mad, and I couldn't control my emotions for a moment."

"Believe me, I promise it won't happen again."
