Chapter 3: Reunion Of Old Friends
After changing into a sophisticated suit, Sebastian looked at himself in the mirror, standing at 1.85 meters tall, he appeared quite imposing.
He had thick black hair and two long, sharp eyebrows that accentuated his piercing gaze.
His blue eyes shimmered slightly, like the azure ocean, making it people to look directly at them. His tall, straight nose and rosy lips enhanced his handsome features, making his entire face resemble a finely sculpted work of art.
His skin was flawless, and he didn't look like a 30-year-old. Instead, he appeared to be a young man in his early twenties.
He possessed the steadiness and composure of a mature man, combined with the vitality and boldness of youth.
Sebastian smiled slightly, revealing his neat white teeth: "Still as handsome as ever. If I went to the Muggle world to make a movie, even Tom Cruise and Leo DiCaprio would have to step aside."
Sebastian approached the manor gate, gazed in the direction of Hogwarts, and murmured: "Floo powder? It stains clothes too easily—definitely not suitable for today. So—"
"Apparate"
After a moment of squeezing that seemed to crush his face, Sebastian found himself standing in front of the gates of Hogwarts.
The gate was magnificent—made of iron and imbued with powerful magic to protect the students inside from any disturbances and harm.
Sebastian raised his wrist and checked the time on his magic watch 9:30 a.m.
It was exactly the time they had agreed upon for someone to pick him up.
Sebastian gazed at the distant castle and couldn't help but sigh: "No matter how many times I see it, Hogwarts Castle is still magnificent."
Before he could finish speaking, the gate slowly swung open, revealing a male wizard stepping out.
He was thin, with sallow skin and shoulder-length black hair that was greasy and clung to his face like a curtain. He wore a black robe, the fabric dull and unremarkable.
A breeze blew past, making the hem of his robe flutter, giving him the eerie appearance of a giant bat.
Seeing Sebastian outside the gate, the wizard's lips curled slightly. He spoke in a slow, methodical tone, laced with sarcasm: "Look who this is! Sebastian Swann! The richest man in the wizarding world today has come to Hogwarts, which truly makes Hogwarts shine."
Sebastian looked the man up and down, then raised his wand to his chest and asked, "Well, Severus, what do you have to say?"
Seeing this, Severus also raised his wand upright in front of his chest and said, "Old rules."
The two of them remained silent for a few moments before casting spells at each other simultaneously.
Within seconds, spells were flying between them, both tacitly agreed not to use powerful attack spells or protective charms.
They relied on swift footwork to dodge, using their wands to deflect incoming spells.
The duel transformed them into masters of small, mischievous spells, each one emitting colorful light, cutting through the air with a whistling sound.
The flurry of minor curses resembled raindrops, causing ripples in the protective enchantments guarding the Hogwarts gate.
Snape was struggling. He dodged one spell after another with difficulty, aiming for openings to counterattack.
He didn't dare to take it lightly—after all, he hadn't fought anyone in years.
Over the years, his applications to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts had always been rejected by Dumbledore, so he shifted his focus to potion research instead.
However, he didn't want to make a fool of himself, especially since they hadn't seen each other in years. Both wanted to give the other a little warning.
What's more, their duel—fast-paced and filled with small, unprotected dark curses—was a game they had started back when they were students at Hogwarts.
It tested the fundamental skills of a wizard in dueling: Pace, Opportunity, Accuracy of spells, Stability in controlling magical power output, Precision in controlling magical power output and more...
The two had entered Hogwarts the same year, were both sorted into Slytherin, had names that started with letter "S" and were assigned to the same dormitory.
When Snape first arrived at school, he already knew more spells than half of the seventh-year students, yet his roommate knew even more than he did. The two often discussed magic, dueled frequently, and gradually formed a deep friendship.
Not to mention that this person understood him, helped him pursue Lily, and finally stopped him from saying those three hurtful words in time. Snape had always been grateful.
Snape admitted to himself that he was no match for Sebastian. After all, since their school days, Sebastian's magic power had been stronger than his own. This man seemed to be a natural dueling monster, possessing many advanced duel techniques and training concepts.
Sebastian had even invented the Spells: [Sectumsempra], [Muffliato Charm], and [Liberacorpus].
"Even so, I don't want to lose!" Snape thought fiercely.
He didn't want to lose to this stinky swan. A stinky swan that loved to show off.
Desperately, he tried to regain his past combat experience. After several thrilling escapes from danger, he finally felt no longer suppressed.
Just as he caught his breath, Snape heard the other man yell while laughing: "Hahaha, Severus, are you used to it? I'm going to speed up!"
Feeling the sudden increase in attack speed, Snape grew flustered and couldn't help but curse in his mind:'This quick bastard!, how is he so fast?'
After graduation, Sebastian had joined the Ministry of Magic and worked as an Auror for the first two years.
But after Voldemort's fall, he left and became involved in the family business.
After becoming the richest man in the wizarding world, he traveled to the Eastern wizarding world, claiming he was exploring.
After returning from the East, he immersed himself in the Muggle world again, saying he wanted to take advantage of the collapse of the Russian bear to make billions in small ventures.
'When did he start exercising? How is he still so powerful?' Just as Snape was about to collapse, a silver-white phoenix-shaped guardian angel appeared between them.
Then, Dumbledore's somewhat helpless voice came from above: "Mr. Swann and Professor Snape, please stop now. The gates of Hogwarts cannot withstand your destruction."
"Professor Snape, please bring Mr. Swann to my office as soon as possible. I'll be waiting for you there."
Seeing that the duel could not continue, Sebastian laughed and put away his wand.
He then walked up to Snape, put his arm around his shoulders, and headed toward Hogwarts Castle.
"You've fallen, Severus. You're about to collapse before I've even put in any effort!" Sebastian teased as they walked.
"Heh, if I remember correctly, no spell even touched me just now."
Hearing this, Sebastian laughed. "Severus, your sharp tongue is still intact. I doubt even the fiercest fire could burn it away, haha."
When Snape heard this, he clenched his fists in anger.
He took a deep breath, calmed himself down, then stopped and asked solemnly, "Sebastian, you have already achieved success and wealth. Why did you choose to be just a professor at Hogwarts?"
"Don't be so serious. Just talk while you walk"
"Why Hogwarts?"
"I'll explain it to you later when I meet Professor Dumbledore. That way, you won't have to hear the same thing twice."
"Then why did the school board create a vice-principal position?"
"I applied directly to Headmaster Dumbledore to establish a deputy headmaster position, but he did not agree."
"..."
"Look, it's within the rules. Galleons pave the way, and the school directors all support me. All roads lead to Hogwarts."
"I don't think Professor Dumbledore will be very happy about this."
As they talked, the two reached the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle, standing before the door to the headmaster's office.
The entrance was guarded by an extremely ugly stone gargoyle.
Snape gave Sebastian a look that seemed to say, "May the best of luck be with you." Then, he stepped forward and spoke the password to the stone beast:
[Sherbet Lemon]
