Hogwarts : A mischievous guest from another world.

Chapter 17: A New Beginning part 12

Trip to Fairy Lands.

Guardian Druid - This talent has granted me numerous abilities. Firstly, the Shape-Shifting trait allows me to transform into various animal forms while retaining their size, strengths, and weaknesses but can be done 'only with enough magical power'. The Natural Caster trait enables me to control plants and even manipulate the earth within a small area around me. Lastly, the Healer Spirit trait provides me with a spirit capable of performing healing magic on myself or others. With these abilities, I could easily become the best doctor and environmentalist in this world... Hee... Hee.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, Pung suddenly jumped in front of me, snapping me back to reality.

Descending the stairs, I noticed everyone gathered around a table, smiling and giggling at some photographs. Aunt Apolline was the first to notice me; she gently tapped the table, bringing everyone back to their senses.

Curious, I approached to see what had captured their attention. To my surprise, they were looking at moving pictures of me, taken by Minnie throughout the day. One, in particular, showed me eating and sleeping simultaneously in the afternoon, which seemed to be the main source of their laughter.

Seeing the pictures reminded me of the vision in my dream. I instinctively pulled up my sleeve, searching for the blessing tattoo. There it was—a golden-reddish full-bloom flower with dark green vines wrapped around the stem. For a moment, it felt almost alive. Strangely, nobody else seemed to notice it. Perhaps it was only visible to me, sparing me from another round of explanations.

We spent the whole evening in the living room. To my surprise, no one mentioned the Fairyland or the events of the afternoon. When I asked Fleur about it, she simply replied that all the children were instructed to behave well and show respect to every flower fairy. While that was good advice, I had hoped to learn more about what had happened. But then again, what could I expect from a young child?

I couldn't even ask my mother, as it would be odd for a one-year-old to be interested in world history and politics.

Well, there was no use dwelling on it. I could learn all of that once I grew up. For now, I might as well enjoy my childhood.

The evening continued as usual. We had dinner together, and before bed, Fleur brought another storybook. She fell asleep before finishing it, so I tucked her in, covering her with a blanket. Gaining another round of sunshine points, I went to sleep, ready to embrace the next morning.

For the first time in this life, I woke up before the sun had even greeted the world.

Both Fleur and I were quickly cleaned up, fed, and taken west of town, back to the large flower fields. When we arrived, we saw many parents along with their children. To my surprise, all the toddlers and some young children wore flower rings on their hands. Soon, a few flower fairies approached us, bringing flower rings for Fleur and me as well. I had to wear multiple rings to satisfy the fairies, as they were proudly boasting about their creations. Since I could understand their language, I knew they were excited about having their flower rings worn by me.

As the sky began changing colors, a massive translucent veil-like structure appeared above the flower bed. The fairies started jumping up and down excitedly. Suddenly, every child wearing a flower ring, including me, began to float. Waving goodbye, we ascended as the veil closed around us.

The next moment, we found ourselves standing in the middle of a huge circular podium, surrounded by water on all sides. Three bridges connected the podium to the palace interior. Sunlight streamed down from the open ceiling, illuminating the grand white palace walls adorned with intricate silvery-golden designs. The sight was mesmerizing, leaving everyone momentarily speechless as they took in the beauty of the place.

A group of fairies floated toward us, distinct from the flower fairies. These were larger—almost the size of adult humans. Each of them wore grand, colorful silhouettes with intricate designs. As I admired their elegance and beauty, the fairy at the front spoke.

"Welcome, guests from the Terrestrial World. On behalf of our Fairy Queen of the Crystal Stream Fairyland, I extend our warmest greetings."

Her voice had a calm and soothing quality, with a sweet and melodious tinge that made it almost hypnotic.

And so, our journey into the Fairyland truly began.

"Let's begin our tour, shall we?" she asked, her eyes fixed on me. I nodded and, holding Fleur's hand, started walking toward her. Seeing this, the other kids followed us.

We were given a full tour of the place, starting with its history, its significance, and ending with the stories surrounding the Fairy Queen.

The realm was situated below Mount Olympus, the abode of the Olympian gods. If we were lucky, we could catch a glimpse of their grand residence high up on the mountain when the skies were clear. But as we reached the top, we saw thick clouds obscuring the peak. The entire Fairy Realm was divided into three parts: the outer region, home to spirits, flower fairies, and a few nymphs; the second region, housing high-spirits with elemental powers responsible for carrying out the gods' orders; and the final section, the residence of the three Fairy Queens, who also served as high priestesses to Goddess Demeter.

These three Fairy Queens were responsible for the well-being of all flowers, trees, and plants across the world, each governing a specific part of the Earth.

In the end, we arrived at a vast, open grassland surrounded by lush, green orchard trees. A crystal-clear lake with deep blue waters sparkled nearby, and vibrant flowers painted the landscape with breathtaking colors. The entire place exuded vitality, a harmonious blend of hues, and an air of tranquility.

We stood in awe, marveling at the beauty before us. When I turned to the leading fairy, I saw a gentle smile gracing her lips—perhaps pleased with our reaction. Seeing me look at her, she stepped forward.

"Our Queen wishes to speak with you about your healing spirit," she said. "I believe your talent requires a healing fairy spirit—one that will grow and develop alongside your abilities."

Fleur, who had been admiring the fruits on the orchard trees, instinctively tightened her grip on my hand upon hearing that I was to be taken somewhere. I gave her a reassuring look, explaining that I was merely gaining a new friend. Only then did she reluctantly agree to stay behind.

Perhaps she was still shaken from yesterday's frightening event.

While the other fairies stayed with the children, spending time with them, the leading fairy carried me back to the palace. My legs were too short to walk long distances, and during our tour earlier, the fairies had frequently stopped to let us rest, sharing stories about their land as we sat.

Upon reaching a grand courtroom, I was surprised to see a magnificent statue carved from polished white stone. Throughout our journey, this was the only statue I had encountered.

I instantly recognized the face—it was Goddess Demeter.

As we stepped inside the courtroom, I saw an ethereal fairy seated at its center. She had eight translucent wings, and her dress radiated an air of majesty. Her attire was more intricate and elegant than the others, and atop her head rested a crown of gold and flowers.

She was the Fairy Queen.

As I admired her dignified beauty, she nodded at the fairy who had brought me. The fairy bowed and left, closing the doors behind her.

"Perhaps I should introduce myself first," the Fairy Queen spoke, her voice melodious yet commanding. "My name is Rosalind, Priestess of Goddess Demeter and Queen of the Crystal Stream Fairyland. It was I who sent the letter yesterday, believing a proper explanation would calm the parents."

She continued, "My child, fairies are pure and guileless. We were created solely to serve Goddess Demeter and Goddess Persephone. But over time, we faced threats from powerful dark creatures. Moved by our prayers, Goddess Demeter, along with Goddess Artemis, built this fairy land—a sanctuary that protects our kind."

She then recounted the story of how the fairies came to be under the protection of the Elven Goddess and the Goddess of Nature. Every event in this world has a cause, and every cause has a history—some joyful, some sorrowful, and some filled with pride. The story of the fairies encompassed all three.

As she finished, she stared at the ceiling, momentarily lost in the past. Then, looking back at me, she said, "I must admit, I was quite surprised when Goddess Demeter asked me to grant you a healing spirit. I was deep in my evening prayers when she appeared before me and instructed me to take care of you and your friends."

She paused before continuing, "You should know that after her daughter, Goddess Persephone, was condemned to spend six months each year in the Underworld, Goddess Demeter was consumed with grief. To take revenge on the gods, she refuses to take responsibility during those months, bringing winter—a season devoid of flowers and color. Despite countless efforts from other gods, she has remained firm in her decision. But yesterday, she appeared before me, asking to understand the meaning of Christmas. Before departing, she asked me to grant you a healing spirit as an early Christmas gift."

From her words in could definitely feel her astonishment.

Moved by her words, I instinctively touched my forearm, where the tattoo moved as if responding to my gratitude.

"You will receive your spirit," she added, "but spirits cannot stay in the terrestrial world for long. They must return here. However, since you will be contracted, you can summon her and communicate with her anytime, anywhere."

She then stood and walked toward me, instructing me to extend my forearm. As I did, she lightly touched the fully bloomed petals, adding a white hue to their golden-reddish color. Instantly, I felt another presence in my mind.

Closing my eyes, I was startled to find myself seeing from the Queen's perspective. Confused, I opened them and met her gaze.

She smiled playfully. Seeing my questioning expression, she laughed before quickly regaining her graceful demeanor. "Every Fairy Queen is born in this land unlike other fairies, spirits or nymphs, who are also found in the terrestrial world and because of this we know nothing of the outside world," she explained. "Our powers only work here, making us helpless beyond this realm. Making us long for the outside world. Even elves struggle to contract us as spirits, since their souls cannot withstand the power of high priestesses."

She sighed before adding, "But you, my child, have a strong soul, blessed by multiple gods despite being human. This allows me to sign a contract with you. Providing you with protection and granting you the permission to use my powers in the terrestrial world, while you, in turn, show me the outside world."

She looked at me expectantly, awaiting praise for the brilliant plan she managed to develop.

I wasn't sure if contracting with her was a blessing or a curse, but nonetheless, I offered a few words of admiration. Pleased, she nodded enthusiastically, urging me to continue.

After sharing a bit about myself and my family, I hurriedly left, convinced that staying in her presence would lower my intelligence. Before departing, we agreed on the timing for summoning her and allowed her to share my vision, enabling her to see everything I did and converse with me telepathically.

Just as I stepped outside, I swore I heard the word "Popcorn."

Impossible. Fairies didn't eat human food.

Yet, somewhere in the Fairy Realm, a certain Queen Fairy sat cross-legged, a bowl of popcorn in hand, watching my vision unfold before her.

I quickly returned to the children, toddling toward my sister—earning a round of laughter from everyone present.

We spent the rest of the day playing, fishing, and feasting before finally bidding farewell.

Before leaving, I turned toward Olympus and whispered a prayer of gratitude to Goddess Nyx, God Chronos, Goddess Artemis, God Apollo, and Goddess Demeter.

Then, in the blink of an eye, we were transported home.

Beanni and another house-elf gasped as Fleur and I suddenly appeared in the hall. Our parents and friends rushed in, sensing our presence. We spent the entire evening recounting our adventures—especially the part about the Queen Fairy.

While everyone else pondered how to welcome her, Fleur busied herself with pinching my cheeks.

And with that, we went to sleep, our hearts filled with magic and wonder.
