His Breeding Obsession

Chapter 41

🐾

The wings that protruded from his back looked smooth as if they were made of soft velvet, the inner coating was blood-red.

“Oh, yeah. You flew.”

My mind slowly woke and it becomes clear. A hazy voice seemed to belong to someone else’s.

“Hmm, yes. What brings you here? You must be hungry because you slept for three days. Without going to the kitchen.” asked Mirania.

“I’ve already eaten.”

 “…?”

Mirania pondered, “Then what?”

Leverianz bit his lips, and his red lips swelled thickly, “Now is not the time to have these conversations. I don’t know when I’ll fall asleep again.”

“Then?”

“Oh, look at me now. It’s not the time to say things like this. Y I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping for three days. This bloody disease will not disappear until any time.  I don’t know if I’ll be asleep tomorrow or open my eyes, so I keep…”

Biting his lip, Leverianz’s lips with his white teeth were as red as a pomegranate that was about to burst.

“Mirania, you still don’t know? My time is running out.”

“Uh…, what?”

“Time is running out. My precious time.” Leverianz repeated.

His eyebrows raised in frustration at Mirania not being able to understand his words immediately.

Mirania sighed, glancing at his delicately furrowed brows.

‘Now I’m slowly getting used to Leverianz’s way of speaking. So I could guess what that meant.’

‘Time is running out.’

He meant to have fun and a meaningful time instead of letting it go idle.

Why couldn’t he be honest?

‘Grecan would have just asked me to play with him.’

Mirania blinked drowsily and pulled herself up and said, “Do you want me to play with you?”

When asked sourly, Leverianz raised his gaze as if to say something. His sly eyes were sharp, as if angry, but the words that came out of his mouth were cautious.

“I think we have to think about whether that expression of yours is appropriate, Mirania.”

‘That’s not to say it that way, isn’t it?’

Mirania thought to herself.

“What?”

“How old are you to play with me?” Leverianz snorted.

He doesn’t like my expression, but it seems to mean that the meaning was also wrong. Mirania languidly watched Leverianz as he whirled around her.

Leverianz’s eyes sparkled like jewels when he received the attention.

Although he’s a few years older than Grecan, it’s Leverianz who has been suffering from sleeping sickness most of the time.

The mental age itself may be younger than Grecan, who has been hunting for survival since childhood.

“Yes.”

Skipping the expression ‘

playing with me

’, Mirania pretended to agree.

“It’s a waste of time not doing anything. Your body won’t be able to function properly because of the disease, so let’s do some recovery training.”

Leverianz, who pretended to be thinking, smiled, “That’s good.”

Leverianz’s recovery training was similar to Grecan’s ball-playing training time.

Mirania extracted blood drops from her wrist and hardened them into marbles. Drops of blood floated like small rubies on her palms.

After grumbling for a while, Leverianz focused on the drops of blood. Red eyes follow as Mirania moves the toy-like drops of blood to the side.

Mirania chuckled with an ingratiating smile.

If Grecan likes training using balls, Leverianz likes my blood.  I wonder if he recognizes that it’s good for his energy because of his disease.

Mirania threw the drops of blood toward the window, and the drops of blood shot out like bullets.

Leverianz’s shoulders trembled as he stood up.

“Catch it!”

At Mirania’s command, pointing out to the window with her long fingers, Leverianz spread his wings excitedly.

The full moon shone yellow above the swiftly flying Leverianz.

Left alone, Mirania’s expression quickly turned bleak. It’s too early to go back to sleep. Rising leisurely, she leaned against the window.

It’s like being followed by Grecan in the morning and followed by Leverianz at night.

In my previous life, I recognized their unceasing obsession with my heart, but both of them were tenacious and persistent, it’s sickening.

“That’s right. We all have to stay like this until Alice appears…”

In an instant, Mirania’s eyes lit up.

‘In just a few days, I felt older than 900 years of my life.’

Meanwhile, in the yard of the castle, the witches who discovered Leverianz flying through the soft moonlight automatically moved their gaze to Mirania’s room.

Sure enough. Mirania stood by the window like a ghost. Witches whispered, glancing at the distant face.

“Her face has gone slimmer.”

“Mirania, I think the day for you to rest will come sooner…”

“Oi, what are you talking about?”

It was a pitiful night, but no one from the young witches said that Grecan and Leverianz should be kicked out.

A fact that Mirania was completely unaware of.

This was because Grecan and Leverianz have established themselves as mascots of the Witch Castle as a ferocious but cute baby wolf and a beautiful prince, respectively.

Witches, who glanced at each other’s eyes and shared a certain meaning, soon raised the corners of their mouths awkwardly.

“But since it’s Mirania the great witch, it’ll be fine.”

“Mirania seems to care about those two but pretending not to show it.”

“Well. Otherwise, would Mirania have left them alone with that personality? Look at her playing with them every day. I mean…”

“You mean she cherishes them in her heart?”

“That’s right.”

It was a misunderstanding. Mirania spent an unknown amount of time, whether it was training or playing with Grecan and Leverianz while being unfairly misunderstood by the witches for a very long time.

 Time passed just like that.

🧹

One sunny afternoon, Mirania was lounging on a wooden bed, enjoying a peaceful time.

The warm air gently wrapped around the body of the great witch they loved, and the smell of fragrant flowers tickled the tip of their nose to keep their minds calm.

Mirania’s face in her slumber was as carefree as that of a princess who fell asleep under a spell.

However, didn’t they say that peace was more precious because it has an end?

 Bang!

A huge roar rang out. Surprised by the vibration felt through the air, birds fly in flocks.

Mirania’s body, which was finely laid on a wooden bed, was also caught up in the sound waves.

 Glint—

With furrowed brows, Mirania’s golden eyes twinkled dimly and soon distorted slowly.

A faint sigh flowed through her pale lips, “Peace doesn’t last a week.”

Mirania flew into the air on a broomstick.

 Boom, bang!

As the interval between the successive roars shortened, her heart became more urgent.

My heart became urgent as the interval between consecutive roaring sounds became shorter.

Fortunately, it wasn’t the sound of the witch’s castle breaking into ruins. Mirania confirmed the usual witch castle and swept over her chest.

It seemed that the order not to fight in the witch castle, which was given last night, had worked.  It was fortunate that the Night of Obedience was still in effect.

 ‘… Huh?’

Mirania, who was flying, still glorified with mixed emotions, but she clearly swept over the witch castle that was different from 15 years ago.

Over the past 15 years, the witch castle has changed to such an extent that it would not be strange to say that it was a ragged patch.

The castle had been repaired over a hundred times all over, and dozens of times since it’s completely been destroyed.

If it had been clothes rather than castles, they would have been worn out in no time because they were too patchy.

The funds received after making the emperor a potion of energy were used up for repair and disappeared immediately.

‘What if the emperor dies of old age and the fund is cut off? Should I sell medicine to humans?’

Mirania thought.

A long time ago, I made money that way. This was the case when a huge construction project to enlarge the witch’s castle was done.

It was to buy useful materials and advanced tools that could not be found on the continent of the different races.

A shadow fell on Mirania’s indifferent eyes, which had become desolate from worrying about living at an old age.

“Oh, my…”

I didn’t know if it was because of breeding those children or parenting, which was not even part of my life, but now I was worried about everything.

Meanwhile, the noise continued…

 Bang!

Seeing a tree sway in the middle of the forest, Mirania clicked her tongue.

‘It’s been over 15 years since I’ve had those two around by my side already.’

While living her 1000 years wasn’t a very long time for the Great Witch, this was by far the longest 15 years of her life.

“That, too, is nearing its end.”

Come to think of it, I don’t have to worry about the financial damage from Grecan and Leverianz.

Now, they are both grown-ups. That means I don’t have much time left to see them!

Flying slowly to the scene of a fight that anyone would mistake for a bombing, Mirania was preoccupied with the problem that had been troubling her for several days.

‘Oh, that’s weird. Where in the world are you?’

The thing occupying Mirania’s head was not Grecan or Leverianz, but Alice.

‘Alice… Her whereabouts were unknown.’

At this point, it was already time for her to appear, but until now she hasn’t emerged.

Considering that Mirania had also placed a quest to find people through the Chancellor of the Human Empire, this situation was definitely strange.

‘It’s not something to be taken for granted.’

If nothing else, the intelligence power of the empire was number one when it comes to finding people on the human continent.

Periodically, I received reports from the Chancellor on the progress of the work and checked them, but only difficult answers came back.

Besides, he’s old now. If the Chancellor retires, I might have to go around looking for Alice myself. It’s a difficult job.

‘What exactly happened?’

When I think about this world, which I was trying to lead as much as I want, I didn’t have a clue what was going on.

Thinking of the age of Grecan and Leverianz in full bloom, the question fell further into the labyrinth.

Around this time, it’s time for the three main characters to meet.

It’s not a welcoming event on my part, but it’s also disturbing because it’s too quiet. I think we should look into it in more detail.

 Swoosh!

Mirania arrived in the middle of the forest where the fight took place and stopped flying.

 Bang!

A stone the size of her fist rose up from beneath her. Mirania’s fine eyebrows furrowed slightly as she gently turned her broom to avoid the stone.

Her lips uttered only the graceful words that smelled of her scent.

“These crazy people!”
