ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL TO THE MAIN TRAINING FIELD. I REPEAT, ALL PERSONNEL TO THE MAIN TRAINING FIELD.

The sudden sound of a siren awoke Yuto. After enduring another round of torture, he had been healed and sent back to his cave to rest. If you're wondering, yes, they do give rest because even a machine can't function indefinitely without maintenance.

Yuto slowly got up while cracking his neck , and started stretching, after a few second getting his, a bit stiff limb warmed up. Yuto turns towards the door starts jogging and after a few second, after he felt that his limbs are fully warmed up, he ran. he ran to the training field with inhuman speed, comparable to a bullet. 

In a matter of seconds, he was there, one of the first to arrive, alongside a few teachers.

Within a minute, almost all personnel had gathered on the field. With shadow knights standing in formation in the middle of the field, facing the podium, while the rest stood beside them. Some in front, some in the back.

Moments later, the director approaches the podium, walking steadily towards the podium without his usual lazy gait or expression. After he reached the dead center of the podium he stops and starts looking around, as if he is checking if everyone came or not. After a few seconds of checking, he stops and starts speaking. "We are going to war. Everyone must be battle-ready. Enter protocol C2 until further orders from headquarters. The top thirty ranked knights and a few teachers will accompany me to the headquarters. I will now name the teachers joining me: Clara Cave, Martin..." Although his voice wasn't amplified by magic or loud, everyone heard him clearly. Because everyone here is at the minimum low rank supernatural.

"A war, huh? This could be my opportunity," Yuto thought, watching the director naming the teachers. After naming around a dozen teacher, he stops and starts talking about other things, like who will be in charge, what you would be doing while the war is happening. Then he turns around goes towards the teacher that will be in charge while director is gone. After he is about 2 steps away from him, He cast silencing spell, creating a dome around them that stop the sound from coming out. They talked for a few minutes with director mostly doing the talking, with the teacher listening most of the time. After finishing he deactivate the silencing spell, by waving his hand. Then he starts walking towards back of the podium, after he is about 5 meters away from podium, He cast big teleportation circle, after finishing he turns around and yells. 

" let's go!" the director says, and the thirty shadow knights and teachers hurried toward the magic circle the director had materialized.

After they all got on, director activated the magic circle and teleports them.

After teleporting, Yuto looks around and notes that they are beside a large forest with mountain on the other side. Weather was cloudy with little to no sunlight as if a heavy downpour is about to happen. he also found a army numbering around 3,000 in distance. In closer inspection he found out that there were about 1,000 human mages, a few hundred golems, nagas, and other beings. 

Suddenly a few beings began to rapidly rush towards them with a tall golem in the lead , in just a few second, they were almost upon them. After golem is about 30 meters far, he began examining them, while he was examining them, his eyes see the director, upon seeing him he suddenly relaxes and started walking towards him. Upon getting close enough for arms reach golem greets the director in obnoxiously loud noise almost border lining on scream "Hey Ford, long time no see." 

In response, the director looks down to the ground while pinching his nose. After a few second, he turns towards the golem and replies to the golem with a bit resigned voice "Yes, it has been a while, Kale , how are you?"

'I'm fine, just some everyday stuff if you don't count the sudden news of war. I wanted to ask the last time but, i forgot Why do you always look down pinch your nose after meeting me?. golem asks while raising one of his eyebrows with a good-natured smile on his face. 

'It is just my special way of meeting you, you don't have to worry' director replies to the golem with his frown relaxing.

While they were exchanging greetings and pleasantries, two, who was behind the golem came close to the group. They asked a few questions after that one of them starts guiding the teachers the other starts guiding Yuto's group to the place they will be at, until preparation for war is finished. Along the way it starts raining as if it is a omen of what is about to come. As the group walked, they passed by some other groups who, similar to them, is being led towards their accommodation. After walking for 5 to 6 minutes they came to a stop in front of A medium-sized tent that could accommodate around thirty people, the person who guided them tells them that resource like healing potion, map, basic battlefield command .. etc. are inside the tent. They were located about 100 meters away from the main army.

They will be staying in the tent until high ranking personal comes and leads them to the place where they would be briefed in what they would do, where they would be located and the like ....

After settling in they started learning battle signals, dividing the recourse and healing potions and the like with the strongest getting the best, weakest one getting the worst. 

After learning the signals and taking his supplies, Yuto sits beside the door. Watching people passing by, searching for an easy target—someone from whom he could request a concentrated health potion or something similar that will allow him to heal in short time. Considering the upcoming war, it wouldn't be strange to ask for one, but without much to offer in exchange, he sought someone who might give him one for a low price, If you don't know what it is, concentrated health potion, as the name suggests, is a concentrated healing potion. That will heal wounds faster, and better than normal one. Ofcource there is cons. Cons is that while healing using mana becomes difficult and effectiveness of the health potion you would be taking is the next few days are much slower .. etc .. . 

(Ikumi's POV - Kitsune from Kyoto- Another shadow knight)

Will I survive? Ikumi wondered, staring out the tent window at the rain-soaked scene. People were still rushing about, despite the downpour.

It had been almost four years since that nightmarish day when they killed her mother and kidnapped her to be a [Tool]. She was one of the few children who hadn't completely broken. Beside her there is Furt , a devil illegitimate child from a noble household, Ryu , a enchanted human from a human experiment, and Yuto, unknown. Because He never tells us the truth and keeps lying about where he came from. Honestly, if you're going to lie, you should at least make it believable. Who would claim they're an ordinary human from a normal household when they are capable of beating up Rennard the werewolf who is second strongest from the shadow knight with their bare hands and cast magic that even Furt can't understand, like it is a walk in the park

Speaking of which I wonder what he's doing? Ikumi thought as she turns around to search for Yuto. After few second of looking around, she sees him sitting beside the door glancing at the people passing by, as if he is looking for someone. 'Does he have a friend from outside? Is that why he is sitting beside the door looking at the people passing by . Well, considering it's him, i won't be surprised if he has one.' Ikumi thougt as she continues watching him. 

Suddenly, Yuto seemed have found what he was looking for and approached a woman in her early twenties. She looked like a bookworm—her glasses and plain appearance easily forgettable in a crowd. She seemed nervous, looking left and right as though unsure of what to do.

Why would he become friends with someone like her? Ikumi wondered. She doesn't seem like someone competent, important or valuable.

He approaches the woman and begins talking with the woman. 'Huh so they never met before. Then Why would he? ' She sighs while closing her eyes and opens them after a few sec and while thinking 'I will never know what goes in his head'

After a few minutes, the woman completely relaxed and began speaking to Yuto as if they were old friends reunited after a long separation, with the woman complaining about small things like how much she had endured and had to make potion for the past few days nonstop and all that. While Yuto listens to her with a smile in his face, occasionally injecting things like 'And' , 'What did he do?' , 'that is terrible' . 'Well can't really blame her pouring out her feelings so easily, considering that war is about to happen, and her life and death is in question. ' ikumi thought idly , as she gets back to her senses, she notices that They started talking about trade, golden leaf. After they talked for a bit they shook hands, seemingly reaching an agreement, and Yuto returned to the tent while the woman walked off in the direction she had come from.

I wonder what did they trade? Ikumi pondered. Suddenly, a warm, soft voice came from behind her. "Hey Ikumi, what are you watching?"

Startled, Ikumi turned hurriedly to face Yuto, who stood behind her. "Oh, just watching people pass by," she said, a bit flustered.

"Oh really? Because I saw you watching me for the past few minutes," Yuto teased with a light-hearted smile.

Her face flushed slightly, and she hurriedly changed the subject. "So, what kind of deal did you make with her?"

Yuto, still smiling, replied, "I got myself a high-grade health potion."

Silently thanking him for allowing the subject to change, she continued, "But they already gave us with you having whole 8 bottles. Why do you need more?"

"Well, you never know when you'll need it," Yuto replies with a smile. And he walks a few steps forward closing the distance between them until he is right beside her and whispers in her ear "Meet me behind the tent in 10 minutes." he says then he turns and left the tent.

(Yuto's POV)

Now that I've solved the first problem, it's time to tackle the next problem: how to safely remove the seal during the chaos of the battlefield.

Considering the circumstances, my options are limited. I can't just stay at the back—they won't let me. I also can't fake my death or act like I'm being suppressed, because I don't know if someone will notice. In a world where it's not unusual for beings to live centuries, my acting skills probably aren't good enough to fool someone with that much experience. Until the higher-ups start fighting, I will be fighting honestly. After they start fighting i will go back and remove the device. When i remove it, for at least a minute or two i will be incapacitated. 

During that time, I need a person to protect me. That's where Ikumi comes in, she is strong enough and has enough interest for her to not to betray me. 

(Third Person POV)

After about 10 minutes later, Yuto could be seen standing behind the tent watching the rain. Soon, Ikumi comes and approaches him with confused expression.

"What did you want to talk about?" she asked, her face still showing a confused expression. 

Yuto turned towards her and cast a silencing spell that creates dome around them that silences everything inside. Upon seeing it Ikumi frowns and asked with narrowed eye. 'What do you want, and what do i get?'

In response, Yuto smiles like a ray of sunshine, and says "Freedom"
