[MC'S POV]

"*Yawn.* Another day, another brain cell committing suicide."

It was another one of those days, dull, endless, and suffocating.

The kind of day where I wondered, for the hundredth time, why the hell I was even at college in the first place.

I had barely survived the last lecture, my mind a blur of half-formed ideas and unrelated thoughts.

I couldn't help but feel like I was just going through the motions, ticking off boxes for a future I wasn't even sure I wanted.

"Why do I even bother?"

I muttered to myself, kicking at the ground as I trudged down the sidewalk, headphones securely in my ears.

The sound of Jujutsu Kaisen blared in my head.

"Nah, I'd win."

Gege's 'favorite' character said.

"Pfft, yeah right. Read Chapter 236 first, you KitKat."

I mumbled under my breath, adjusting my bag on my shoulder.

I half-listened to my surroundings as my eyes were glued to my phone, watching the animation unfold with some part of my brain that wasn't entirely dead yet.

But of course, the real world had other plans.

My feet carried me forward without any regard for what was happening around me, my focus solely on the glowing screen in my hands.

I was still replaying a particularly epic fight when I heard the faint whoosh of something fast approaching.

*BEEP BEEP!*

I glanced up at the sound and, just for a split second, realized I was already halfway across the street.

The light was red and there, barreling down the road at what seemed like a hundred miles an hour, was a goddamn truck.

"Oh shit!"

I barely had time to process it before the screeching sound of brakes filled the air, but it was too late.

*SCREECH!*

*CRASH!*

My body was struck with an impact that sent a shockwave through every inch of me.

Pain exploded from my chest, my head snapped back, and I felt the world tilt and spin in a nauseating spiral.

The truck's headlights were the last thing I saw as my body crumpled to the ground.

'This is it... I'm done for...'

I thought, my vision fading to black.

The last thing I registered before everything went dark was a stupid thought, something so ridiculous I couldn't help but think it even as the cold hand of death reached out to drag me under.

"You better... Isekai me... Truck-kun..."

...

...

...

I can hear the sound of my heart beating.

'Huh? Is this the afterlife?'

It didn't feel like it.

I felt like I was floating, weightless, suspended in some weird limbo where everything was blurred and muffled.

My mind was fuzzy and distant like I was waking up from a long nap I didn't remember taking.

Was I alive?

Dead?

Both?

The world slowly came back into focus, and I realized something… was off.

There was no pain, no throbbing headache, no broken bones, no sensation of being hit by a truck.

I wasn't even in the street anymore.

"Wha-?"

I blinked, taking in my surroundings.

I wasn't lying on the cold asphalt, with blood pooling around me.

No, I was… somewhere else.

The air smelled of a thousand flowers and fresh-cut grass.

A place that felt too peaceful for what had just happened.

It wasn't until I looked up that I understood.

The sky above me was clear, a soft azure stretching on forever.

A single figure stood before me, a silhouette I couldn't quite make out, though the outline was familiar.

"Well, well. Looks like another one bit the dust. You good, kid?"

The figure said, voice smooth and mocking.

The figure stepped closer, and I squinted, trying to make out more details.

But then, the figure's appearance hit me with a sudden wave of recognition.

I knew that tone, that smugness, and the signature blindfold.

"What the-!" My voice came out in shock, but I couldn't finish the sentence.

I couldn't even begin to process the bullshitery of the situation.

"Well, don't look so surprised."

The figure continued, now fully in view.

It was a man dressed in black, with white hair that defied gravity, wearing a blindfold that covered his eyes.

My brain sputtered, trying to process this new information.

"Gojo Satoru?!"

I croaked, barely able to believe what I was seeing.

"No, wait, this… this isn't real, right? Am I-?"

"Dead?"

Gojo chuckled, his hands tucked casually into his pockets as he leaned down, giving me a good, long look.

"I guess you could say that. But I'd like to think you've been given a second chance. For better or worse, I'm not sure which."

I blinked.

"Wait, a second chance? So I didn't actually…?"

"Nope, you're still kinda dead. You've just been re-routed by Truck-kun. Welcome to the afterlife... or maybe... not? It's complicated."

Gojo grinned, clearly amused by my confusion.

I rubbed my face, trying to clear the cobwebs from my brain.

"This is... this is a joke, right? Some weird, messed-up dream?"

"Maybe. Maybe not."

Gojo's smile widened, and he tapped his fingers on his temple.

"See, when you cross paths with Truck-kun, it usually means you're about to get a new 'adventure,' whether you like it or not."

I was too dazed to process the implications of his words, but somehow, in the fog of whatever reality I found myself in, it made sense.

I had been hit by Truck-kun.

I had died.

And now, Gojo freaking Satoru was standing here, telling me I'd been given a second chance at life.

A second chance… or maybe a new one?

I just stared at him for a long moment.

"So, what now? Am I going to get Isekai'd or something?"

Gojo laughed, but it was the kind of laugh that suggested he knew something I didn't.

"Oh, maybe. But that's a big maybe. What I do know is, the story's just beginning for you. Hope you're ready for it."

The weight of what he was saying finally hit me.

I could already feel the panic rising in my chest, but I did my best to shake it off.

"Guess I don't have much of a choice, huh?"

I muttered, the absurdity of it all almost making me laugh.

"Not really. But look on the bright side. You're not in school anymore."

Gojo said with a wink.

I didn't know whether to feel relieved or even more anxious.

But before I could ask anything else, everything around me started to blur again.

I blinked and found myself sitting cross-legged on a tatami mat in a cozy little teahouse, the kind you'd expect to see in some traditional Japanese countryside.

A tray of freshly skewered dango sat between me and Gojo, along with a teapot and two cups of steaming tea.

Gojo took a sip of his tea, the blindfold somehow not hindering him at all.

"Man, nothing beats dango after delivering the good news."

He popped a skewer into his mouth, grinning.

I stared at him, still processing everything.

"So… this 'second chance' thing. Am I going to Jujutsu Kaisen?"

Gojo nearly choked on his tea, but then started laughing his ass off.

"Hahahahahaha! What?! You really think I'd just send you into my world? You'd be Curse chow in like five minutes! Nah, no way."

My shoulders slumped, and I let out a dramatic sigh.

"Seriously? You can't even throw me a bone here? I'd rather face Sukuna than do another research spree."

"Don't be so glum, kid!"

Gojo said, patting me on the back with a bit too much force.

"You're going somewhere better. Trust me, you'll love it. It's a place where you can get stronger with the power of friendship and fanservice!"

Wait... What?

"Fanservice?"

I raised an eyebrow.

"You're gonna have to narrow that down. There's a ridiculous number of those kinds of worlds."

Gojo smirked and leaned forward like he was about to share the greatest secret in existence.

"Alright, I'll give you a hint. It starts with an 'O', and ends with a 'ppai'."

...

My jaw dropped, and I just stared at him, speechless.

For a whole minute, I said nothing, my brain going through every possible scenario.

My voice was barely above a whisper.

"It's High School DxD... isn't it?"

"Ding ding ding!"

Gojo cheered, pulling a confetti popper out of thin air and blasting it right in my face.

*Pop!*

Multicolored streamers rained down as the sound of an invisible crowd cheering erupted all around us.

"We have a winner! Congratulations, champ!"

I wiped the confetti from my face, groaning.

"Why that world out of all worlds? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is there?"

Gojo shrugged nonchalantly.

"Hey, cut me some slack. I'm still new to this whole Isekai business. Besides, it's not like I'm sending you to fight Titans like the last guy. DxD is pretty tame compared to the others. The worst thing you've gotta deal with are Fallen Angels and… well, you know the rest."

Gojo made a gesture with his hand as if holding something round and soft.

I wasn't convinced though.

"Tame? Have you even seen that show? Don't even get me started at the Light Novels!"

"Relax, you've got the plot knowledge, right? That's a major advantage."

He popped another dango into his mouth, speaking through the food.

"And to sweeten the deal, I'll even give you a power-up. Free of charge!"

That caught my attention.

"Wait, really? What kind of power-up?"

Instead of answering, Gojo waved his hand dramatically.

From out of nowhere appeared a miniature Wheel of Fortune.

It has various prizes ranging from good to bad, such as:

Mink-Fishman Hybrid Template,

Deadpool's cancer,

A used condom with AIDS,

Netorare System - [Warning: The user is the one being NTR'ed!],

Phuk Yu Family's Grand Master Ancestor's Ancient Primeval Seminal Essence Droplet,

Harem Protagonist EX,

Makima's panties [Includes urine stain],

Krabby Patty Secret Formula,

Inventory Curse [Includes all Cursed Tools, Weapons, and 30 Million Yen],

And the rest that I have no plan on mentioning.

"Spin the wheel and test your luck!"

Gojo said, gesturing with both hands.

*Gulp*

I gulped, my hands trembling as I grabbed the edge of the wheel.

"Well... Here it goes."

Giving it a hard spin, I watched as the pointer whirled around, passing over tantalizing powers and abilities.

After what felt like an eternity, it slowed down and stopped at...

"DxD Isekai Starter Set."

Gojo clapped enthusiastically.

"Oh-ho! Nice! You landed on one of the good ones!"

I narrowed my eyes.

"What does that even mean? What's special about it?"

Gojo just gave me a mischievous grin.

"Ah, that's a secret, but trust me, it's good... Probably... Maybe... It depends on the Author's mood."

"Wait, wha-... You know hat, whatever. Anything else I should know before you send me off?"

I groaned, running my hand down my face.

"Hmm, nah, I got nothing. How about you? Anything you wanna say?"

Gojo asked, tilting his head.

I thought for a moment.

"What about my memories? Do I get to keep them all?"

"Yep, all yours, free of charge."

Gojo said casually.

"And… I'm still gonna be a guy, right?"

"Yup, no changes down there either. I'm cruel, not insane."

He said, waving a hand dismissively.

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, good. I guess I don't have any other questions."

Gojo patted me on the shoulder, his expression softening just a bit.

"Good luck, kid, and have fun in your new life. Oh, and don't forget the power of friendship and all that crap."

Before I could respond, Gojo teleported far across the room, a playful smirk on his face.

He extended his hand, and with a dramatic flair, summoned an enormous swirling orb of energy.

"Imaginary Technique: Hollow Purple!"

The blast erupted toward me, a swirling vortex of purple light and power that enveloped me completely.

I didn't even have time to be scared as I was too busy being in awe.

As my body dissolved into the swirling energy, I couldn't help but think.

'This is gonna be the craziest ride of my life.'

And with that, my consciousness faded, ready to embrace my new life.

[GOJO'S POV]

After sending off the new kid to his new life, I finally remember something.

"Oh, wait. I forgot to tell him that there's different shit added and his world is now in Hardcore mode... Meh, he'll be fine."

I sat down and summoned more dango and other sweets.

Man, I fucking love this job!
