Chapter 6: Chapter 6: World of Hell
< Daeryn Waters POV (OC) >
*Panting*
I couldn't help but catch my breath as I finally arrived at Maegor's Holdfast, hearing the cries and shouts and the two guards dead at the front, I felt my throat tighten and my eyes shaking.
I couldn't help but imagine the worst possible outcomes.
I felt a stir in my eyes as my emotions heightened, and I felt I could see a lot more clearly. I know I had gotten here late, if I had run the proper route I would have been here sooner, but with that I may have died in that cavalry charge, which I cannot accept.
I moved towards the two dead guards and seeing one cut in half and the other with his head bashed in from looks to be the wall, looking up I did see a huge indent in the bricks.
Taking a deep breath, I walk inside to find dead bodies from both Targaryen and Lannister alike. Among them are four Lannister men already having their way with the maids, crying, and screaming are only left resounding in my ears, followed shortly after by the cackling laughs of the Lannister soldiers.
I move up to them with their backs turned and stab my sword right through the neck of the first one, pulling it out easily, then immediately cutting the neck off the next closest one to my left.
I watched as the remaining two Lannister soldiers realized what was happening and started to panic.
One of them gets off the maid instantly and reaches to grab for his sword.
I stop this action in an instant as I slice both his arms off and watch him fall to the floor screaming in pain.
Making my way to the last one who finally got his sword, I took a ready stance to meet his attack, as I followed his sword path swinging at me, it dawned on me that the sword coming at me was so slow, I have never felt this feeling before.
I knew I had a unique vision recently, but only after I found my wife pregnant.
I could start seeing things a lot more clearly, at first I thought it was because life was looking better for me.
So I had a different outlook on life, but soon I realized how much stronger these new eyes of mine are now.
Watching the slow moving sword fall, I nimbly dodge to the side, bringing my sword upwards cutting off both his hands, and finally twirling into stabbing him right in the chest straight through his armor.
After this feeling faded, I felt a strong burst of pain in my head. But I knew I had to keep moving, looking at the dull faced maid and the other two crying in her arms, I felt a sense of disobedience and loss, words of comfort cannot even seem to leave my mouth.
If it's already as bad down here…
'Oh, please god, don't be as bad where my wife is.'
As I pass the maid that looks like she might kill herself any given moment, I drop a dagger to her and point to the one Lannister wriggling in pain after his arms were cut.
No words were spoken, but I could see in her eyes a light spark up.
As I walk towards the stairway leading to my wife's chambers, I hear the begging cries of the Lannister soldier until his screams die out.
Making my way up to the stairs, I couldn't help but stop.
My breathing quickened as I came face to face with a huge man, covered in full body armor and as tall as a mountain.
He must be the biggest person I have ever seen.
I slowly step back with some fear palpating in my mind, I take a deep breath and look towards him, I can't tell what expression he is making, but the body language towards me looks ready to kill me.
Without any time to act or think of a plan, I watch as a punch comes swirling at me.
With the way this swirl of stairs is set up, in such a close quartered fight using swords would be pointless and only hit the wall.
I pulled my head back just in the nick of time, only being grazed by those massive metal gauntlets.
My nose starts to itch, then bleed. My eyes widened in shock, if I hadn't dodge in time, my head would have possibly exploded with that much power.
After his full arm extended I needed to act now, my right hand moving at my fastest speed grabs this big guy's wrist, and pulls him closer.
I know I cannot do anything hand to hand with a man in full armor and this big, so I used my best judgment to pull him and make him off guard, to fall down the stairs.
But something unexpected happened.
He didn't move.
This big thing stood its own and just stared at me through its slits of armor, I wanted to let go, but he also grabbed my hand, he pulled me close only to headbutt me.
My vision was gradually weakening.
I saw him grab me with two hands. Slowly, I went to pull back once more from him, but when my back touched the wall I realized I made a grave mistake.
When I was feeling disoriented for a bit, I already moved myself from the center of the stairs to hopefully not fall, this was a subconscious action, one that will cost me dearly.
I could only slowly watch as I felt my head being grabbed by two massive hands and lifting me up.
My eyes felt they could see everything clearly, I could even see through the slit of his armor, and his mouth… he was smirking like crazy.
Being lifted by him, I could see past his shoulder, my wife's chambers, some Lannister soldiers were about to break it down, I could hear a woman's muffled scream coming from behind those doors.
As I watched the door being broken down. I felt great despair.
I felt my vision gradually get covered.
The worst part is that I don't understand what's happening to my eyes.
It felt so slow, but I know my eyes were getting pushed in, my brain was getting overloaded with how slow this felt, I was in excruciating pain, and I felt my eyeballs pop.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
My throat gave out the most blood-curdling cry before stopping on its own.
Everything was quiet.
I heard nothing.
Felt nothing.
'Olyssia, I hope you can forgive me for not being beside you in your time of need.
I hope our child can survive.
Survive in a world full of Hell.'
