Chapter 21: 17 Demon misunderstood!
Ender stood on the parapets of his newly completed castle, a proud yet reflective expression on his face. Below, his creation stretched out, a marvel of divine and mystical architecture, blending his creative powers with Gaia's nature's beauty. The castle stood as a testament to his growing mastery over creation.
"Kurama, you're free to roam the Earth," Ender said, addressing the towering nine-tailed fox in front of him his size just a bit smaller than the castle. "But don't pick fights with any other beings, okay? I don't want to deal with unnecessary drama right now."
The fox snorted, before bounding away into the wilderness. Ender watched the massive figure fade into the distance, sighing with satisfaction and mild apprehension. He had sent his familiars and creations out to explore this ancient Earth, hoping they would learn and adapt to its ever-changing landscape.
Ender turned back into the castle, glancing at the giant clock and calendar he had crafted. Both were a necessity to ground him over time, as his concept of it had been completely skewed since his transmigration. Days and years blurred together for an immortal being, making even simple timekeeping a challenge.
"At least I won't wake up one day thinking it's still the Jurassic era," he muttered to himself. Immortality had its perks, though. His mind remained at its peak, unaffected by the ravages of time. No "old man mentality" or mental decay would ever plague him.
After some research, Ender confirmed that this Earth bore a striking resemblance to his homeworld—geographically, at least. The Pangea supercontinent had already split apart, and Gondwanaland's fragments had drifted into their current positions.
However, this Earth held secrets his original world did not. Islands like Atlantis and Lemuria, which were mere myths in his former life, existed in this world as tangible and vibrant locations. Atlantis was still an island, poised to one day become a technological marvel. Lemuria, meanwhile, was equally enigmatic.
Ender made a mental note to visit these places.
The Progenitor's Legacy and a Question of Timing
The aftermath of the Progenitor's death still loomed large over Earth's evolution. The Celestial's diseased essence had seeped into the planet, accelerating mammalian evolution and forever altering life's trajectory. The ripple effects of this event were far-reaching, as Ender knew that in a thousand years, Zgreb the Aspirant would arrive on Earth.
"That means the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC are on the horizon," Ender mused, pacing his chambers. He recalled key figures like Firehair, the first host of the Phoenix Force; Starbrand, Earth's primal defender; and the Ghost Rider, whose existence heralded the arrival of Mephisto.
But this also posed a curious question: When would Odin be born?
Buri, the All-Father and Odin's grandfather was still single as far as Ender could tell. The timelines were hazy, and Ender's knowledge of this world's exact sequence of events left room for uncertainty.
The rapid evolution of mammals intrigued and concerned him. How could such primitive creatures develop the intelligence and power needed to produce legendary figures like Firehair? How would the arrival of the Vibranium meteorite and the rise of advanced civilizations affect the planet's trajectory?
"The Phoenix, Starbrand, Mephisto... It's all going to converge sooner or later," Ender muttered. "I need to prepare."
With these thoughts swirling, Ender decided to focus on improving himself and his creations. He had grown accustomed to telepathy and telekinesis with Gaia's guidance, and his training was already yielding results. His tamed dinosaurs thrived in Overworld, while mammals on Earth continued to flourish and evolve under Gaia's influence.
(???)
Earth, home of the Nexus of All Realities(in the future), was a unique focal point for the multiverse, for various reasons whether it is past present, or future, even before the Progenitor's death though it did act as fuel to the interest of many beings. It was watched over by cosmic entities like the Watchers, Builders, and Celestials, targeted by extra-dimensional powers such as Dormammu, and plagued by demons like Mephisto. Additionally, Earth's connection to the Ten Realms, its status as the birthplace of the Elder Gods, and its adjacency to countless pocket dimensions meant it was a crucible for cosmic, mystical, and divine forces.
Not to mention the feats the evolved humans will accomplish in the future, the feats that saved the Earth, and the universe countless times.
However, the origins of humanoid beings didn't strictly arise from Earth's natural evolutionary path. Long before the Celestials' experiments or the rise of mammals, humans, or beings indistinguishable from them, existed in other dimensions and planes of existence, shaped by their environments, the influence of gods, or even ancient alien technologies.
Ta-Lo (The Realm of Xians)
The Xians, revered as gods in Chinese mythology, ruled over the pocket dimension of Ta-Lo. This realm, which predated Earth's human evolution, was inhabited by a humanoid race that bore strong similarities to early humans.
K'un-Lun, a group of humanoid aliens crash-landed in a pocket dimension connected to Earth. Their warp-drive engine malfunctioned, creating a permanent oscillating rift between the dimension and Earth. These alien refugees settled in the dimension, blending their advanced technology with mysticism to establish the legendary city of K'un-Lun.
Over time, the inhabitants of K'un-Lun began to resemble humans. The city also became a sanctuary for humans from Earth, further intertwining its fate with the planet, along with other Cities of Heaven.
Various cosmic entities have subtly affected Earth's trajectory for their reasons and purposes what will happen in the future who knows?
(Hell)
"Who—or what—is he?" Mephisto muttered, his fiery eyes narrowing as he stared into the shifting flames of his scrying pool. Herobrine, or whatever he was called, radiated an energy that was both alien and eerily familiar. The connection to hellfire and the infernal arts was unmistakable, yet it was laced with divine energy.
The very essence of Herobrine carried echoes of hellfire or something similar to it, as though he had some intrinsic connection to the abyssal realms. Mephisto felt something like threatening Herobrine was a dimensional lord to say at least, yet he was roaming over Earth with power and he didn't seem weak.
It was further established when he sealed a celestial was dead but it didn't lessen the feat, his plan of setting the stage for new and more twisted forms of evil to be born from the celestial's corpse was brought to an end by Herobrine.
Despite the setback, Mephisto was not one to despair. He turned his attention back to Earth, specifically to the evolutionary trajectory of mammals. The death of the Celestial and his essence that seeped into the Earth had accelerated evolution, setting the stage for the rise of humanity.
"These humans... such fragile, ambitious creatures," Mephisto mused with a wicked grin. "They are perfect vessels for my influence. All I need is time."
Mephisto's gaze drifted to the stolen souls of humans or what was similar to them writhing in torment within his realm. Many were not even his by right, stolen from other dimensions and hellish lords through cunning deals and outright theft. These souls had shown him what he could do with more human souls.
Mephisto began reshaping the stolen souls, preparing them to become his emissaries. With humanity's arrival, these demons would infiltrate the mortal world, sowing corruption and gathering even more souls for his dominion.
He had planted pieces of his essence across Earth's dimensions, ensuring that when humans evolved, they would feel his influence. Places of tragedy, despair, and betrayal would become his footholds.
Yet, Mephisto couldn't shake the thought of Herobrine. This being had the potential to be a major obstacle, that can pose a threat to him.
"He shares a connection to Hell... but he doesn't seem to know it yet," Mephisto murmured, his lips curling into a sinister smile. "Perhaps that's why he disrupts my plans without even realizing it. He doesn't understand what he is."
To Mephisto, Herobrine was an anomaly: a being who defied the natural order of Hell yet wielded its powers, not actively but he had potential. His divine energy made him incorruptible, but his link to the infernal realms hinted at a dark truth. Mephisto decided to wait and watch, letting the pieces fall into place.
"He will come to me eventually," Mephisto said with a chuckle. "They all do. And when he does, I'll unravel the mystery myself... and perhaps make him an offer he can't refuse."
Mephisto reclined back on his throne. The rise of humanity was inevitable, and with it, the arrival of souls ripe for harvesting. While Herobrine was a concern, Mephisto had survived far greater threats.
"Maybe I should make a deal with Chthon, hmm, nah he is far troublesome, alas souls of elder gods are protected by something." Otherwise, he would have taken their corrupted souls for himself.
Who will tell the demon that he completely misunderstood Ender's connection with Netherworld the Hell of Minecraft as a connection to the Hell of Marvel?
Maybe this misunderstanding will be the reason for his fall who knows?
(Kurama)
Kurama, the nine-tailed fox, sat regally atop a hill overlooking the lush landscape of the island. The sunlight gleamed off his shimmering golden fur, and his nine glorious tails swished behind him in synchronized perfection. He was the picture of majestic arrogance, or at least that's what he thought.
"So, the boss finally let me out," Kurama said, his voice dripping with feigned indifference. "Not that I wanted to leave or anything... I mean, the Overworld is amazing—because I live here—but it's about time he recognized I need to stretch my legs and let the world bask in my presence!"
He looked over at Fenrir, Bast, and Sleipnir, who were also gearing up for their little trip. Fenrir was gnawing on a massive bone, Bast was grooming herself lazily, and Sleipnir… well, Sleipnir was struggling to get to eat as the food spilled through gaps of metallic skeleton
"Pfft, amateurs," Kurama muttered. His tails puffed up slightly in smugness. "Unlike them, I have a purpose. A mission! I shall travel to the far East, to the land that will one day be known as... uh, whatever. I can already tell it's a place destined to revere foxes. Obviously."
As Kurama prepared to leave, he found himself face-to-face with, the Monkey. This creature was the bane of his existence, the one being in the boss's family who dared to challenge his authority.
"Yo, Furball!" the Monkey said, hanging upside down from a tree branch. "Where you headed? Gonna flaunt those tails somewhere new?"
Kurama's tails stood on end. "Hmph! I don't need to flaunt anything. My brilliance speaks for itself. Unlike you, you overgrown monkey!"
The Monkey smirked. "Sure, sure. By the way, you gonna miss us or boss?"
Kurama froze for a moment, his nine tails curling slightly inward before puffing back out. "Wh-What kind of ridiculous question is that? Of course not! The boss and you can take care of yourself. It's not like I care or anything. I'm just... doing this for me. Yeah, that's it."
"Uh-huh," the Monkey said with a knowing grin. "Well, don't get too lost, Furball. I heard there is a giant bird that loves foxes. To eat."
Kurama growled, snapping his teeth at the Monkey, who cackled and flew away riding on a cloud he stole from the sky.
Kurama's journey to the East was filled with equal parts triumph and frustration.
"What is this nonsense?!" Kurama yelped as a massive wave splashed over him. He stood on a bamboo raft he 'stole' from one of the chests his fur drenched. "I am a divine fox, not some sea otter! If I wanted I could vaporize you with my bombs taught by the boss himself."
He stopped for a moment. "Not that I needed for him to teach me. Hmph."
Suddenly the waves parted as if listening to his command, "Huh, so you realized my greatness, I am generous so I will forgive you."
(Some islands)
As he made his way through the prehistoric forests, a massive sabertooth tiger lunged at him. Kurama dodged effortlessly, his nine tails creating a dazzling display of golden light.
"Hah! You dare challenge me? Know your place, cat!" he barked, sending the tiger fleeing.
He flicked his tails smugly. "Another challenger defeated. Bast should have seen it that is what I can do to you!"
Soon Kurama arrived at a far east, he was awestruck by the beauty of the land. Towering mountains, serene forests, and crystal-clear rivers stretched out before him. He stood proudly on a hill, his nine tails glowing in the setting sun.
"This place... yes, this is where foxes shall reign supreme!" he declared. "They will build shrines in my honor, tell tales of my magnificence, and... wait, is that a giant bird?!"
A massive shadow passed overhead, and Kurama looked up to see an enormous prehistoric bird circling him.
"Oh no. Not today," he muttered before sprinting into the nearest forest. "I'll deal with you later, birdbrain! I have a legacy to establish!"
Seeing the giant nine-tails running inside the forest the giant bird landed on the ground transforming into the Monkey with golden fur.
"You are so easy to fool Kurama." He mutters before he calls his mount—a cloud and disappears in a flash of speed creating sonic booms.
