Chapter 27: chapter twenty-seven
Lingxi's kiss silenced Simon's protests, and soon they were lost in the moment, their lips locked in a passionate embrace. Their hands roamed freely, exploring each other's bodies with a familiarity that came from months of being together.
As they kissed, they slowly made their way to the bed, their bodies moving in tandem as if drawn by an invisible force. They fell onto the soft mattress, their lips still locked, their hands still exploring.
The room around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their own little world of passion and desire. Time stood still as they surrendered to their feelings, their love for each other burning brighter with every passing moment.
As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Simon knew that he couldn't imagine going to America without lingxi by his side. He was glad she had insisted on coming with him...

Amy and Azura arrived at LD Corporations, where Amy worked. As they entered the building, Amy instructed Azura to join the group of people waiting for job interviews.
Amy then headed to her desk, exchanging pleasantries with her coworkers. Derek, a flirtatious colleague, caught her attention. "Hey, girly, you're looking pretty this morning," he said, winking.
Amy rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "So, you're saying I don't always look pretty?" she teased, sparking laughter from the other staff members.
Meanwhile, Azura stood out, looking lost and disconnected from her surroundings. When it was her turn for the interview, she seemed distant, and the interviewers quickly became frustrated with her lack of attention.
To everyone's surprise, despite her unimpressive performance, the interviewers suddenly became enthusiastic about hiring her. It was as if Azura had cast a spell on them, controlling their minds.
After the interview, Azura hastily exited the building, leaving Amy bewildered. Azura searched for a mirror, finally finding one in the restroom. She called out to the demon, who appeared in the mirror's reflection.
"I need your help," Azura said, her voice urgent. "I want you to track Prince zamiel. I need to know where he is."
The demon Azura's expression turned skeptical. "Princess Azura, that would be difficult. I've told you before, Prince Samuel is not a mere demon who can be easily tracked. He has covered his tracks."
Azura's determination remained unwavering. "I don't care how difficult it is. Just try. Track him."
The demon Azura nodded. "Alright, I'll see what I can do. I'll get back to you."
With that, the mirror's reflection returned to normal.
Here's a rewritten version of the scene:
Azura rushed out of the restroom, colliding with Amy in the hallway. "Where were you rushing to?" Amy asked, concern etched on her face. "I saw you rush out."
Azura quickly fabricated an excuse. "I was pressed."
Amy raised an eyebrow. "Besides, have you been given the job?"
Azura nodded. "Yes, I have."
Amy's expression turned curious. "Were you instructed on where you'll be working? Your department, maybe?"
Azura scratched her head, feigning confusion. "Mm... I wasn't instructed."
Amy's eyes narrowed. "Maybe you were so excited and rushed out?" Her tone turned lecturing. "Look, if you want to be independent, if you want money, you have to work for it. You can't just go to a place, get a job, and not even concentrate. How could you leave the interview room without waiting for them to tell you which department you'll be working in?"
Azura seethed inwardly, her anger boiling over. How dare this human speak to her like that? If she didn't need Amy's help, she would have made her pay for her insolence. But Azura kept her cool, forcing a weak smile onto her face. "Okay, don't worry, I'll go ask them."
Amy's expression turned incredulous. "Can you hear yourself? You want to ask the interviewers again? Don't you think they'll just sack you immediately? They'll be like, 'I don't understand, where was your mind when we told you....?' I'm sure they must have told you which department you'll be working in, but no, you didn't even bother to listen."
Azura's anger reached a breaking point. "For devil's sake.. can you just stop talking to me that way? You're talking to me like we're old friends or something. If you knew how old I am, you wouldn't dare speak to me like that."
Amy's eyes widened, taken aback by Azura's outburst.
Azura's voice rose. "I quit! I quit, anyway. Good day, and thank you for the accommodation."
With that, Azura stormed off, leaving Amy looking shocked and confused. "I didn't see that coming," Amy muttered to herself.

Elina was engrossed in her cleaning Elenane, dusting and polishing the intricate furnishings of the mansion. As she reached for a delicate vase, her hand slipped, and she accidentally knocked over a nearby pedestal, sending a priceless, oversized pear-shaped ornament crashing to the floor.
The sound of shattering glass filled the air, and Elena's eyes widened in horror as she froze, her hands still outstretched. Suddenly, Zamiel materialized before her, his eyes blazing with fury.
"How dare you!" he thundered, his voice low and menacing.
Elena's eyes darted wildly, her throat constricting as she tried to swallow. "It-it was an accident," she stuttered, trying to defend herself.
Zamiel's grip closed around her neck like a vice, his fingers digging deep into her skin. "What should I do to you?" he hissed, his breath hot against her face. "Do you know what that pear meant to me? It was special, a family heirloom..."
Elena's vision began to blur as Zamiel's grip tightened, his anger suffocating her. Just when it seemed like he would crush the life out of her, he abruptly released his grip, dropping her to the floor. She collapsed, gasping for air, as Zamiel's eyes continued to burn with fury.
With a swift wave of his hand, Zamiel cast a spell that shrunk Elena down to the size of a toy. She looked around, bewildered, as the room transformed into a gigantic, intimidating space. Every object, from the furniture to the decorations, loomed over her like a skyscraper.
"What's happening?" Elena cried out, but her voice was barely audible, reduced to a faint squeak by her miniature size.
She stumbled around, trying to make sense of her surroundings. The carpet felt like a dense forest, and the furniture legs seemed like towering pillars.
Before she could even try to find a way out of this predicament, Zamiel's hand closed around her, scooping her up like a tiny doll. Elena panicked, struggling to free herself, but it was no use.
With a casual flick of his wrist, Zamiel tossed Elena into a nearby box, sealing it with his dark magic. The lid closed with a deafening thud, plunging Elena into darkness.
"Oh my God, oh my God," Elena whispered, her voice muffled by the box. "What do I do?" She pounded her tiny fists against the box's interior, desperate to escape, but it was no use. She was trapped, at Zamiel's mercy.
