Harry Potter: The Legend of Nero Ravenclaw

Chapter 27: Author's note

Hello everyone,

First off, I want to thank you all for your passionate feedback and for sticking with the story so far. I see that Nero's choice to share his memories with Dumbledore has sparked a lot of debate, and I completely understand why. Dumbledore is a complex character, and "trusting" him is a risky move, especially in a world as dangerous as this one.

I want to clarify that Nero's decision wasn't made lightly. In this AU, the risks are much higher, and the enemies are far stronger. I had been softly hinting at this possibility since chapter 5.

Nero's main goal is maximum growth, and he's willing to take calculated risks to achieve that. Aligning with Dumbledore is a strategic move, not a sign of blind trust. Nero is fully aware of Dumbledore's manipulative side and is prepared to play the game accordingly.

I also chose this route because it's something rarely seen in HP fan fictions, and I wanted to explore new dynamics. Nero is playing a dangerous game by revealing some of his secrets, but he's also gaining valuable insight and an alliance that could be crucial down the line. It's a calculated risk, and the consequences of this choice will definitely play out in future chapters.

And who knows? In this AU, Dumbledore is still in his prime, far from the weary old man we see in canon. He's a powerful and brilliant wizard with room to grow, change, and even surprise us. This story aims to explore new possibilities, not just for Nero but for every character, including Dumbledore.

I appreciate your passion and your investment in the story. Your feedback challenges me to keep the narrative strong and consistent. I hope you'll stick around to see how this decision impacts Nero's journey.

If you're still skeptical, that's okay, I promise there's more to come, and things aren't always what they seem.

Thank you again for your support and your feedback. You all make writing this story an incredible journey.
