Chapter 33 How Powerful is the Amplifying Charm?

Chapter 33 How Powerful is the Amplifying Charm?
Da da da.

Something knocked on the window several times.

David walked over and pushed the window open, and said pleasantly, "Phiracus, you're back."

Ferrax was the snowy owl David had bought, and David had thought long and hard about the name for it.

David stretched out his hand to take Ferax in from the window, but it avoided David's arm and flew in grabbing a small package by itself.

David shrugged his shoulders, well, so many days have passed, and Ferax still looks so cold.

After throwing the package it brought over on David's desk, Felax flew to a railing prepared for it and began to close his eyes and meditate again.

David put some bread crumbs and water on a plate and put it under it. After a while, Ferrax saw that David was not looking at him, so he slid down quietly to eat the bread.

At this time, David also withdrew his peeking eyes, and opened the package that Ferrax brought. There were three things in it, a book, a packet of biscuits, and a letter.

These were all sent by Hermione. After returning earlier, David sent her a letter according to the address she left.

The letter from Hermione wrote many questions that she didn't understand during the reading process, and according to her, she had almost finished reading all the textbooks used in school.

So strong!
David sighed, he didn't even take off the rope tied to the book after he got it back, how can reading books be as interesting as Fantastic Beasts!

At the end of the letter, Hermione introduced the packet of biscuits, which she said was made by her mother, which contained elements of tooth protection, and then she asked Newt to help her sign the textbook "Monsters and Their Origins". She was so excited that she forgot.

David put a biscuit in his mouth, it tasted good, and he went downstairs with his copy of "Monsters and Where They Come From."

"Grandma, where is grandpa?" David looked around, but Newt and John were nowhere to be seen.

"Newt and John are both in the magic space." Tina put down the Daily Prophet and said, "It seems that the horse-shaped water monster lost its temper. They have been in it for a long time. I don't know if they have calmed down."

"Is that so? Then I'll go and have a look." David put the book on the table beside him and ran towards the magic space.

"It should be this door." David muttered, and walked into an arc-shaped door.

As soon as he entered, the scene in front of him suddenly changed. A huge lake appeared in front of David, and the edge could not be seen at a glance.

But there were no figures or traces of Newt and the others on the lake or around.

"Grandpa, John!" David shouted loudly, making a trumpet shape with his hands.

After waiting for a while, Newt was still nowhere to be seen.

David took out his wand and lightly touched it just below his chin. He took a deep breath, and then shouted loudly, "Grandpa, John!"

The sound was several times louder than before, and David used the Amplifying Charm.

Soon the amplifying spell will have its effect
Weed!

David turned around quickly and ran away with all his strength.

Behind David, the calm lake suddenly became choppy. The most important thing was that the lake was still rising. After a while, it reached a height of more than ten meters, and then fell down with a crash.

The squeezed water flowed in all directions in milliseconds, and seeing that it was about to hit David's body, a magic spell flew out from the inside of the lake and hit David's body, forming a shield.

At the moment when the shield was formed, a huge current hit him. Fortunately, the shield was strong after all. After David slid along with the current for a certain distance without any damage, the lake receded and he was left on the shore.

"Cough, cough." David stood up and coughed desperately a few times, coughing out a lot of water poured into his throat, feeling a little better, and his clothes were all soaked.

"David, keep your voice down, you scared him!" John's anxious voice sounded from behind.

David looked in the direction where the sound came from, and saw a creature that looked like a horse, but the hair on its body was indeed the same as broad-leaved cattail grass, jumping back and forth on the lake, struggling desperately.

This is the horse-shaped water monster. They can change various shapes, but most of them appear in the form of horses, so people gave them this name.

Porcupines are found in the UK and Ireland, and while they may look benign on the outside, they are ruthless predators.Porcupines lure the unwary into riding on their backs, and then they plunge headlong into the water, devouring people, leaving their guts floating on the surface.

But hasn't the horse-shaped water monster raised by grandpa been tamed by him long ago?
How could he be so irritable all of a sudden?

I just yelled and it didn't work!

David is now full of question marks.

But Newt and the others couldn't give him an answer at this time. Newt was sitting on the horse-shaped water monster's neck, desperately grabbing its cattail-like mane, and constantly comforting it.

As for John, he is a little less experienced, he is pulling on the buttocks of the horse-shaped water plant, and it seems that he is about to be shaken off by the horse-shaped water monster.

The horse-shaped water monster ran back and forth in the lake a few times. It was a little tired, and its speed gradually slowed down.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, John quickly climbed up to help Newt control the horse-shaped water monster.

Newt took a bridle and began to put a bridle over the kelpie's head.

But the horse-shaped water monster also realized this, and it began to run wildly on the lake again. Newt and the two had to give up the practice of putting on the bridle, and once again tightly grasped the horse-shaped water monster's neck with both hands.

"David, go to the studio and get another bridle. We will try our best to control you later. You use the placement spell and put it on its head." Newt shouted.

"Okay." David responded, and hurried to the studio, and found a horse bridle under the cabinet.

He took it and ran back.

"Ready?" Newt called again when David returned.

"Okay." David put the bridle on the ground and gripped his wand nervously.

"Well, we'll try our best to control it later, and I'll call you when the time comes." The two of Newt began to try their best to control the horse-shaped water monster's movements to make it less violent.

David swallowed, staring closely at Newt's direction.

"David, come on!" Newt yelled.

David raised his wand in an instant, ready to cast a spell, but soon stopped, his face fell down, and he shouted sadly: "Grandpa, I can't cast a spell!"

There was silence on the other side for a while, as if even the horse-shaped water monster's movements had slowed down a lot, and then Newt's angry voice sounded: "I told you to study hard, but you didn't listen! You'll know how to play in one day!"
