Chapter 9: Chapter -9 Study Group.
Chapter -9.
"Why are you always provoking me?" Lester sighed, shaking his head in frustration.
All he wanted was to get through a year in the dreadful place that is Azkaban while gathering a bit of fear to boost his strength.
Yet, even that humble request seemed too much to ask.
Taking a slow walk to the wall that divided the two cells, Lester placed his hand firmly against it.
Quietly, he recited the spell, "Wall-Passing Spell."
Once he cast the spell, Lester felt as if a weight had been lifted off him.
To his surprise, his hand slipped right through the wall.
Seeing the spell work so effectively, Lester confidently stepped into the wall and into the next cell.
At that moment, the prisoners in the adjacent cell were completely oblivious to the impending danger, engrossed in hurling insults at Lester.
With their cocky faces, they practically invited a beating.
Invisible to them, Lester examined the loud prisoners, whose faces were flushed with rage, and a cold glimmer flickered in his eyes.
Grip tightening on a small stone knife, he approached the most vocal prisoner.
With the knife raised high, Lester plunged it savagely into the prisoner's kidney.
Having honed his skills on a burly man earlier, Lester was now quite experienced, especially with kidney stabbings.
The little knife easily pierced the prisoner's flesh, creating a gaping, bloody wound.
"Ah!"
Suddenly, the prisoner, who had been focused on shouting, went still as sharp pain shot through his waist.
The wet sound of the knife penetrating skin made him instinctively flinch.
Dazed, he looked down to see the shocking sight of blood pouring from a wound in his side.
Blood sprayed out like a fountain.
In an instant, chaos erupted among the other prisoners, who were all witnesses to this bizarre and horrifying event.
Nevertheless, it's true what they say: anyone locked up in Azkaban has seen their share of madness.
They had witnessed plenty, and logically, what hadn't they seen?
Stabbings? Even witnessing someone fall to the Killing Curse wouldn't faze them.
But this was too outrageous!
To be shouting one second, then suddenly have a bloody hole appear in one's body—a truly terrifying experience!
While the remaining prisoners were in a state of panic, Lester was far from idle.
With the small knife in hand, he methodically approached each of the other prisoners, stabbing them in their kidneys one after another.
His heart was cold, showing no hesitation. It was a chilling sight. Accompanied by seven mournful screams, all the prisoners collapsed in pain on the ground, clutching their wounds.
They looked fearfully at the empty cell.

At that moment, back in the original cell, the six remaining inmates realized what had transpired upon hearing the eight haunting screams from next door.
Just the thought of Lester's merciless ways sent a shudder of fear through the six prisoners, still kneeling in place.
But it wasn't just the original six prisoners feeling scared; the inmates next door were truly terrified.
They had been shouting and suddenly, out of nowhere, one of them had been stabbed in the kidney—who wouldn't feel a rush of fear in that scenario? Instantly, the terrified prisoners contributed a scattered 800 fear points to Lester.
"That's 2000 fear points," Lester mused, his eyes gleaming at the ongoing system notifications ringing in his head.
He hadn't anticipated that by merely stabbing eight individuals, he could amass 1600 fear points.
If he wandered around stabbing all the prisoners in Azkaban with his little knife, wouldn't he be swimming in points? Plus, this wasn't just a one-time event; as long as he kept stabbing these prisoners, he could invite them to his little self-improvement class.
And when they messed up later, he could punish them again for even more fear points. The thought made Lester chuckle with glee. He never expected that being trapped in Azkaban could turn into an unexpected opportunity. If he were outside, where could he find such lowlifes to pick on?
Without further ado, after ensuring that the eight strong men had stopped bleeding, Lester deactivated his invisibility, revealing himself.
As he appeared in the cell, the eight injured prisoners were first taken aback, quickly transitioning to pure fear.
While they were curious about how Lester managed to turn invisible in Azkaban and sneak into their cell, this was clearly not the moment for pondering those questions. After all, Lester was smiling at them with a bloody knife in hand.
The prisoners exchanged glances: "..."
Lester looked at their wounds, which had already ceased bleeding, and nodded in approval. A wizard who roamed the darker corners of the magical world certainly knew how to stop bleeding quickly.
In the non-magical world, a stab in the kidney could easily be fatal.
"Ahem." Clearing his throat to grab the attention of all the prisoners in the cell, Lester slowly said, "I'd like to invite you to join my little class along with those other fellows of mine. How does that sound to you?"
After speaking, Lester fixed his gaze on the prisoners with a menacing look, trying to assert his authority with just one brave soul willing to step forward.
Unfortunately, the ones who survived in the dark side of the magical world weren't foolish. Faced with Lester's invitation, the prisoners reluctantly put on expressions of gratitude, signaling their willingness to join this rather odd class.
Even though they had no clue why he wanted them to recite those nonsensical lines, it didn't hinder their eager desire to learn.
"Excellent!" Spotting that these prisoners were so observant, Lester nodded in approval. His class on teaching the ways of scoundrels had grown once again, bringing his total up to 14 members.
"Who was the head of your cell before?"
The prisoners looked at each other, then down at the ground.
After a bit of a push, a man with a scar on his face was grudgingly brought forward. "Nothing good comes from this little brat looking for the former head of the cell!" The scarred man raged, thinking of how he had treated this bunch like brothers over the years, only to find that they'd all turned against him at this moment.
Trembling under Lester's expressionless gaze, the scarred man quaked with fear.
Unexpectedly, Lester smiled at him and declared, "Good. From now on, you'll be the leader of the study group!"
"A study group?"
Just as the prisoners were puzzled, Lester elaborated slowly, "From this point forward, you will be responsible for ensuring that everyone recites the truths I share correctly. If anyone mispronounces or slacks off, you should stab them."
"I assume, as the head of the cell, you must have your own weapon."
The prisoners stared at him, utterly speechless.
