Harry Potter: Arcane Instability

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Changes

(December 24, 1991)

 (Savrin POV)

It was the day before Christmas, and while the children were excitedly waiting to unwrap their presents on Christmas day, Savrin was excitedly counting down the minutes until midnight, or rather, a minute before midnight. Checking the time, Savrin saw that it was only 1:24pm, which meant he still had almost half a day to go before he could finally drop the Dumbledore persona.

'And stop wearing these fucking ugly ass robes!' He growled internally. If he didn't need to keep wearing them to keep up the act then it might not have been so bad, but the ancient beard that went down to his knees was also something that would have to go, and he doubted people wouldn't look at him as though he had gone insane.

Deciding to use the time Dumbledore had left wisely, Savrin called McGonagall into his office. "Minerva." He started solemnly with half-lidded eyes. "I have been keeping something from you and the other teachers since the beginning of the school year." He said, earning a frown from the old witch.

"What's the matter, Albus? Does it have something to do with the Philosopher's Stone?" McGonagall asked worriedly. "The stone is safe, Minerva, but sadly I'm not long for this world. I had hoped I would have more time, but I can't continue on like this anymore." Savrin said, doing his best to make Dumbledore sound weaker than he had ever been.

"What do you mean, Albus?" McGonagall asked. Her eyes were wide with horror as she tried to understand the headmaster's words, but the conclusion she came to just didn't seem real to her. It couldn't be real. "I'm dying, Minerva. I only have a few hours left, I fear, which is why I need to tell you some things." Savrin said, causing McGonagall to reach half-hazardly for a chair so she could sit down.

"Voldemort is alive, and when I go I fear it will only be a matter of time before he targets Hogwarts. But fear not, for I have recruited someone to replace me as Headmaster who is stronger than Voldemort or myself." Savrin said, drawing McGonagall up short. "What's wrong with you, Albus? Why are you dying, and why is Voldemort still alive?!" The Transfiguration teacher cried out, sounding as though she was at her wits end.

"I tampered with something that was better left alone. I'm afraid I can't tell you more than that about my circumstances. As for Voldemort, he never died. Right now he is weak somewhere in the world, slowly but surely recovering his lost power. There are still a few years yet before he should regain his power, so in the meantime I need you all to remain vigilant." Savrin explained, laying it on thick as he made himself look and sound as though he was in pain just from speaking.

"Who is it you've got to replace you as headmaster?" McGonagall finally asked after more than three minutes of silence. "His name is Savrin Kincade. Though he might be young, he is gifted in the arts of magic. I myself am not his equal, which should hopefully help you realize just how powerful he really is. The world will need his strength in the coming years. As for him, because he is so young, I hope you will be there to lend him your wisdom and advice should he ask." Savrin said, earning a half-hearted nod of acceptance from McGonagall as she fought to hold back her tears.

"I'm sorry for leaving you like this Minerva, but it is my time. I grow tired and weary, and now must ask you to leave. I haven't the strength to inform the other teachers of what has happened, and regrettably must also leave that to you. Please don't inform the students of my passing until the winter break is over and the other students return. It's best not to ruin their holidays by revealing my death. By then, Savrin should have arrived and will be there to lend his aid where he can. As for myself, I have already prepared my place of rest in Godric's Hollow next to my sister's grave. Please lay me to rest there after you find my body." Savrin finished, earning more nods of agreement from the witch who now wasn't even trying to hold back her tears.

It took a few minutes of listening to McGonagall cry before she finally left the office, leaving Savrin alone to relish in the idea that soon he could do some of the things he actually wanted to accomplish.

Deciding to be a bit formal, Savrin grabbed a piece of paper before he began writing out a letter to the Board of Governors, informing them of his terminal illness, and telling them that they would soon have to find a replacement for him. After signing and sealing the letter, he sent it off before crossing that off of his list of things to do before killing off Dumbledore.

-------

 (11:59 pm)

The hours passed by at an agonizingly slow rate, but the time had arrived for Savrin to finally be able to be himself. Pulling Dumbledore's corpse out of his storage dimension, Savrin placed it on the bed in the Headmaster's office, then departed the school, knowing he would be back sooner than later.

With some time to kill on his hands, Savrin decided to do just that. Making his way to France, Savrin only had to search for a few hours before he found the manor owned by Nicolas Famel and his wife Perenelle. Entering into the house undetected, Savrin found the old couple fast asleep in their bed. Deciding to do some digging, he latched onto the old man's mind and ripped into it like a fat kid would into a chocolate cake.

Being as old as the man was, he had more memories to look through than most people Savrin had done this to, so it took a bit longer to sort through the memories than it typically would have taken. Still, when Savrin wanted to, there was nothing he couldn't find.

After reading through more than half a millennia worth of memories, Savrin finally got to the part where Flamel created the stone, and that's when he learned what happened. During the age when the Bubonic plague or Black Death as it was referred to struck the world, Flamel had capitalized on the death of the millions of victims and siphoned off their life force to fuel the creation of the Philosopher's Stone. Granted, Flamel hadn't created the plague like Savrin had thought, but the man hadn't tried to cure it either.

Given his expertise in alchemy and potions at the time, Savrin believed the man could have cured the disease at the time if he so wished, but he was too busy profiting off of everyone's deaths to care. Granted, Savrin would have done the same were he in the man's shoes, but that was beside the point. He never claimed to be a saint.

After finishing with the man's memories, Savrin only had a better grasp of history. Everything else he learned was either wrong or useless, though he didn't consider coming here a complete loss. Smirking to himself, Savrin raised both of his hands out in front of him, then quickly condensed spheres of magic in each of them.

It took only a few moments, but soon enough the magic in his hands was siphoning the magic in the air around him. His smirk only grew when tossed the spheres of mana at the old couple, who immediately began to turn grey after being enveloped by the two spheres. It took less than a minute before the light died down around them, and when it did there were only two corpses left in its wake.

If a muggle tried to determine how they died, they would say hands down that the two died from old age. If a wizard looked into how the two died, they would find the same thing. What actually happened however, was that Savrin removed the magic energy and life force keeping the two alive, essentially making time catch up to the Flamel couple and killing them.

It was a rather peaceful way to go, all things considered, but that was only because Savrin didn't feel the need to drag it out. Still, he did it in such a way simply because it was kind of poetic, seeing as how the two had siphoned off the magic and lifeforce of their victims in the past. It just felt like the right way to kill them.

With their deaths, Savrin would no longer have to return the Philosopher's Stone to them, something he wasn't about to do. The stone might not have been all that powerful to him, but it was still a powerful artifact, one that he already considered his, and he didn't give his things away unless he wanted to. Which he didn't in this case.

Wanting to see what else he could lay claim to from the Flamels, Savrin began to search the house for anything of importance. Moving to the mantle piece above the fireplace, Savrin grabbed the silver chalice that had precious gems embedded into it. The chalice itself was worth thousands of galleons in materials alone, but the enchantments laid upon it only made the cost increase. There was also the fact that the cup held special properties from having absorbed the Elixir of Life from all of the times the Flamels drank out of it, so Savrin knew he could find a purpose for it.

Next he went to a secret compartment that opened after tapping on a few key spots. Inside the compartment were a few hundred galleons, more than a dozen vials of the Elixir of Life, and a large white orb. Savrin knew from the Nicolas' memories that he could supposedly see the future by using the orb, but seeing as how the future was ever changing, and knowing how unreliable these things could be, he simply tossed the thing into his storage space.

'If the fools could actually see the future, they should have known I was coming.' Savrin thought, knowing they had in fact not seen their deaths coming.

The last thing of interest in the house to Savrin was the Phoenix-embossed book that had also been in the secret compartment. Funnily enough, Savrin had a copy of this exact book in his soon-to-be office at Hogwarts, and he knew of a third copy that was in Ilvermorny school of magic.

The three books were linked, and when someone wrote in one book, whatever they wrote would appear in the other two, making them a decent way to communicate to each other from far distances, though phones were still better, and the A.C. Devices were better still.

Savrin had no interest in taking the book, but he did memorize the enchantments as well as read through past conversations written inside of it. There was nothing he could use in the future, but it did give him some inclinations as to certain topics that were good for discussion between academics in this world.

When he finally finished pilfering everything he deemed worthy of his attention, Savrin went to go get deal with some other potential problems. All in all, it was going to be a very productive Christmas day.

 --------

 (General POV)

Christmas at Hogwarts had been wonderful. Godric and the others all woke up to find a number of presents waiting for them, and some of the gifts were actually very thoughtful. Susan and Hannah had given everyone in their little group new mittens and scarfs.

Sally Smith had given everyone new ink bottles and quills, and Neville bought everyone a bag of candy. Hermione bought everyone a book from the muggle world, though for Godric she bought him comic books.

Godric had been surprised when he found a present from Harry Potter of all people, mostly because he hadn't expected something. 'I didn't get him anything. I'll have to make it up to him.' Godric thought after opening his present and finding a book of spells that looked quite rare.

For his part, he got each of his friends some candy and gave them all a note that promised they would be exempt from his pranks for one month of their choosing. Rowena got everyone a copy of Savrin's corrected Magical Theory book, while Helga got everyone a copy of Savrin's potion book. Helga also sent a copy of the picture they took together on the first day of the winter holidays to everyone, hoping they would treasure it as much as she would.

For his part, Salazar gave everyone three galleons. He didn't have the time to go looking for presents, nor did he care to.

During the holidays, Godric spent most of his time torturing Snape and Filch, though he did make sure to spend one hour each day for the Weasleys. For Ron, Godric had jinxed the boy's tongue, making whatever he ate taste like moldy bread, which had the effect of making Ron dread meal times, and he would hardly eat. Godric of course didn't do it for every meal, feeling as though that would have been cruel, though he did do at least once a day.

Fred and George would often start dancing an Irish-jig for no reason, or they would light up like a disco ball at other times, nothing too harmful. Percy was jinxed into thinking Snape was Penelope Clearwater. That got very awkward the first time he had kissed the man, which had earned him detention for an entire month. Godric hadn't thought it would have gone so far, but Percy was rather forceful when he thought Snape was Penelope, and Godric had to wonder if it was actually a healthy relationship.

As for Filch, Godric shaved the man's head clean, as well as his cat, Mrs. Noris, though he deeply regretted the cat. Sure it was a pain in the ass, but it almost froze to death, something which he hadn't intended to happen. He had had to brew a hair growing potion to fix it, but even after it grew its hair back, Filch didn't let the cat out of his sight.

For Snape, Godric did slip a potion into Snape's drink at meal time one evening, and almost sickeningly, Snape's lips turned upward into a smile. It looked so out of place, even McGonagall was creeped out. When Godric turned Snape's ears into elephant ears, he thought it would be hilarious, but Snape had heard him laughing in the back of the room and had taken 20 points from Gryffindor house.

Snape had tried giving Godric detention, but after one night of dealing with him, Snape found that it was more torture to be around Godric than it was for Godric to be around him, and had simply opted to just take away house points.

Fred and George had capitalized on Godric and Snape being at odds and had pranked Snape by making so he shit his pants, at which point Snape punished Godric by making him remove all of the snow from the Quidditch field by himself, which hadn't been too bad, but Godric was annoyed that he got blamed for something he didn't do, even if he thought it was hilarious.

Fred and George on the other hand thought it was a good start to getting back at Godric, and planned more ways to get him into trouble.

 -------

The winter holidays ended all too quickly, and soon enough the students who had gone home for the holidays returned. They all arrived back at Hogwarts happy and in good spirits, but that all changed that night at the returning feast when McGonagall addressed the room.

The room was deathly silent after everyone learned of Dumbledore's passing, though Hagrid's sobbing soon broke everyone out of their stunned stupors. The room was allowed a few minutes to digest the passing of Dumbledore before a young man who looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties entered. Seeing Savrin back in the form they had first met him in, the four founders all knew there would be change in the coming months, and they weren't sure they were looking forward to all of it.

McGonagall introduced Savrin as the next headmaster of the school, at which point Savrin stepped forward to address the students.

"I am an intolerant man. Do not anger me. Try your best while succeeding, and we will all get along just fine." Savrin said, then stepped back and sat down in the throne-like chair that once belonged to Dumbledore.

McGonagall was dumbstruck by his 'speech' as were most every student, save four. "Savrin still doesn't know how to deal with people." Helga whispered dejectedly to her friends, who all nodded their heads in agreement.

Things pretty much went back to normal after a day or two. Students went about their daily life, and teachers taught their subjects as they were trained to do. One thing that did change, though it happened slowly, Harry Potter was hanging out more and more with Godric and Hermione in Gryffindor tower, and he was making it a point to try and get to know some of the other students from the other houses.

This seemed to irritate Ron, and the two were slowly but surely distancing themselves from one another. It saddened Harry to see that Ron really was as bad as he had been told, and though he still considered Ron a friend, he wasn't about to treat others horribly or ignore them just to hang out with Ron.

Savrin meanwhile hid in the classrooms and listened in as the teachers taught their lessons. His goal was to learn as much as he could in the coming months about the teachers at the school and come the end of the school year he would make changes where needed.

Like this, more than two months passed in what seemed like a blink, and it was already the middle of March. Sitting in his office, Savrin addressed Elysia, "The Equinox is fast approaching. How many of them were born?" He asked the spirit of the school who stood before him.

"Four." The spirit answered honestly as she stared pointedly in his eyes. "You will bring them to me in two days. Are we clear?" Savrin asked the spirit, who looked hesitant to answer him. "You promise not to harm them, and that they'll be given back to me once you're done?" Elysia questioned, wanting Savrin to confirm once more that he would abide by his words.

"Yes, I promise. And I also promise that if you don't bring them to me at the desired time, I'll kill them and ten more of them as punishment." Savrin stated, earning wide fearful eyes from the Hogwarts spirit as she bobbed her head in understanding.

Sure enough, on March 20, Elysia appeared first thing in the morning with four adult female house elves, and all of them were holding ugly little baby house elves. "Bring your children to the edge of the forbidden forest." Savrin instructed the house elves, who all looked to Elysia for confirmation. Seeing her nod, the house elves all popped away, leaving Savrin alone with the Spirit of the school.

"You're taking them out of my boundary?" Elysia questioned for clarification, wondering if Savrin was taking the elves that far because of her. "Yes. I can't have what I do next interfere with you." Savrin said, confirming that it was because of her that he was taking the elves so far from her.

"Remember your promise. You'll bring them back to me safely." She reiterated, stating home that fact that she wanted the elves to be unharmed. "They'll be fine. Better even." Savrin clarified, then without another word, he too popped away from the school.

Appearing at the edge of the Forbidden Forest next to the house Elves, Savrin gestured for them to follow him. He led them through the trees for almost fifteen minutes before they arrived at a small clearing. Walking to the center of the cleared area, Savrin crouched down low before digging his fingers into the dirt, making a small hole. Once it was deep enough, Savrin pulled a small seed from his storage dimension, then dropped it into the hole.

"Come here." He ordered the house elves, who all hesitantly approached him with their children. Taking the closest baby elf from its mother, Savrin grabbed its hand before he placed it over the hole where the seed was, then began to guide his magic through the little elf and push it outwards from its hand towards the seed.

The little elf began to cry when he channeled his magic into it, but the moment the string of magic touched the seed, the little elf quieted almost instantly. Savrin sat the little elf down on the ground a foot away from the hole, and the string of magic remained tethered between it and the seed without Savrin's help.

Savrin repeated the process with the other three ugly little creatures, then waited as the sun in the sky slowly moved overhead. Once it was directly above the clearing, the strings of magic connecting the little elves to the seed visibly grew thicker and thicker until the ground around them began to pulse.

Savrin watched with a smile as the seed in the hole began to grow, but not only did the seed grow, the little elves surrounding it began to change as well. Their floppy ears began to straighten and become more pronounced, their noses seemed to be getting smaller, their skin began changing slightly more tanned than grey, and they all began to grow hair.

One had mossy green hair, the second also had green hair, though it was much lighter. The third elf had bright red air the color of leaves during fall, while the fourth and final one had dark brown hair.

Looking between the four little elves and their mothers, one would be hard-pressed to guess that they were the same race, let alone related. The mothers still looked like the ugly little creatures that Savrin didn't like, while the babies looked much more like the elves from Genesis, though there were still a number of differences between the two. Still, Savrin hoped that in a few generations the elves would evolve into something better.

Looking at the tall skinny tree that had only moments earlier been a little seed, Savrin couldn't help but admire it. Though it was only a sapling, Savrin knew the tree would one day grow so tall that it was rival that of Hogwarts itself, and he honestly couldn't wait. The tree in question would saturate its surroundings for miles with magic, causing magical plants and herbs to grow in abundance, something that this world so desperately needed.

Finally turning to look at the four mothers who were gawking at their children, Savrin explained, "While you are house-elves, your children are no longer so. They will now be referred to as wood-elves. They will grow to be much taller than house-elves, and their features will take on aspects of both human and house-elf, but they will also gain traits of this tree. This is their heart-tree. So long as it lives, so will the wood-elves. They could live up to thousands of years old."

The four house-elves looked to be on the verge of fainting, probably from the lack of breathing Savrin guessed, but he hoped they understood what it was he was telling them.

"You will raise them like you normally would. You will teach them manners, but I will see to their education. You will not teach them that they must serve masters or obey anyone. Understand?" Savrin said, earning four nods of understanding. "Good. Now, what are their names?" He asked the house-elves, who began to look between their children and Savrin.

"Tidly." One finally said while pointing to the moss-colored elf.

"Fidly." Said a second while pointing to the light green elf.

"Tilly" Said a third elf who pointed to the red-haired elf.

"Twiddles." Answered the last house elf as it pointed towards the brown-haired elf.

Savrin knew from looking that the first three were girls, while the last one was a boy, and seeing as how the names would not befit proper wood-elves, he decided to give them new names, even if it was unorthodox.

"From now on, you will refer to them by these names. Aspen, Meadow, Ellery, and Ash." Savrin said as he pointed at the elves in the order in which the mothers had revealed their names. If they were upset about the name changes of their children, they sure didn't show it. Instead the four house-elves seemed to jump for joy for some reason, though Savrin didn't care enough to ask about it.

With the ritual now over and done with, he sent the house-elves back to Hogwarts with the new wood-elves, but made sure to tell them to bring the wood-elves to the tree at least once a day for an hour for the next few months, and any chance they could, they were to walk the children through the safer part of the forest. It wouldn't have any benefits in the short term, but long term it would connect the wood-elves with the forest, something which Savrin wanted to happen.

Savrin checked up on the wood-elves periodically over the next few weeks, and only had to correct their upbringing twice. Things were progressing smoothly, and Savrin was finally seeing a benefit to not having erased the damnedable little house-elves.

 ----------

Before Savrin knew it, the Easter holidays had come and gone and it was already the final month of school. The last Quidditch match happened, where Ravenclaw beat Gryffindor, which wasn't a surprise. Their Seeker hadn't managed to catch the Snitch in any of their games, though they did only lose by a small margin each game, so if they had a competent Seeker then they might have actually won the Quidditch Cup.

Sadly for them, however, Ravenclaw won. Rowena didn't even like the sport, but she made sure to take the time to rub it in Godric's face, causing him to promise that next year Gryffindor would hold the cup.

Final exams had been a breeze for Salazar and the others, hell, even Neville seemed to pass with flying colors, except in Potions, where he only got an A (Acceptable).

Soon enough the end of the school year arrived, and by the point count it appeared as though Slytherin would win the House Cup. Unfortunately for Slytherin, someone unexpected had something to day on the matter.

"Attention everyone!" McGonagall called the room to a quiet at the end of the year ceremony as an unfamiliar man stepped towards the podium at the front of the room.

"My name is Lord Arcturus Black, head of the most Ancient and Noble House of Black. I was once a student here at Hogwarts like yourself. I was in Slytherin, and am proud of it. I am also the chairman of the Board of Governors that run Hogwarts. It is my duty to monitor the teachers of this school to make sure they are adequately teaching you to become fine witches and wizards that will better help our country. Based on information I have gathered from the students, staff, and the headmaster, I regret to inform you that one of the teachers has not been doing his job. In fact, he has been abusing his power over the students, and has been doing a very poor job for many years. It has been found that he is biased towards his own house, and has deliberately orchestrated his own house's victory in this year's House cup event. It is for this reason, I hereby terminate Severus Snape from his positions as Potions professor and Head of Slytherin House, as well as restore all of the house points he has taken away from students over the course of this year, as well as subtract every point he has ever rewarded." Arcturus stated, and at once the hourglasses at the back of the room began to fill up with yellow, red, and blue crystals, while the green one lost more than three quarters of its crystals.

The room was deathly silent as they watched the yellow hourglass fill up higher than the red one, which was just above the blue hourglass. The green one representing Slytherin house was so low no one even had to count them to know that they didn't have a chance in hell at winning, which seemed to make Arcturus frown as he saw just how low his former house had fallen.

When the crystals finally stopped entering the hourglasses, it was clear to all who the winner was, and after nodding at the Headmaster, Savrin stood from his chair before waving his hand around the room, at once causing the green and silver banners to change to yellow and black.

As one the Hufflepuff table erupted into cheers, and even the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor tables cheered, though whether that was due to Hufflepuff winning or because Slytherin didn't win, Arcturus didn't know.

When the room finally calmed down, Arcturus continued his speech. "Furthermore, it has also been brought to my attention that the House Cup is mostly an incentive for your heads of house, so the Board members and I decided to change things up. Seventh-year Hufflepuff students, please come to the front of the room." Arcturus said, and at once there was movement from the Hufflepuff table.

When all of the seventh-years were standing at the front of the room, Arcturus looked to the side of the room where a door opened and in walked four witches each pulling a rack of some of the most beautiful jackets the students had ever seen.

Surprisingly, each rack contained different colored jackets for each of the four houses, which was odd because everyone thought only Hufflepuff would be given them because they had won. Ignoring the unasked question, Arcturus called the seventh-year students of each of the other houses, starting first with Gryffindor, then Ravenclaw, and finally Slytherin.

All of the Seventh-year students in the school were given jackets that perfectly fit them, then were sent back to their tables, save for Hufflepuff, who were still waiting to receive theirs.

"Every student who graduates from Hogwarts will be given a jacket in the colors of their house. The winners of the house cup will also receive their jackets, only theirs have a little extra added to them." Arcturus said, then turned and grabbed one of the yellow and black jackets from the rack beside him.

Turning the jacket so everyone in the hall could see, Arcturus showed them all the large white bold letters that spelled out 'CHAMPION' at the top, and at the bottom near the waist it had 1991-1992 year written. On top of the lettering showing their victory over the other years, these jackets had a warming enchantment that would make it so the wearer didn't have to worry about any sort of cold.

 (Image of the Jackets)

"Because the graduating year will not be around to receive the benefits of winning the house cup, they are all rewarded with these enchanted jackets to show the world that they accomplished something others could not. To those of you Hufflepuffs in sixth year on down, come the start of the next school year, you will see the benefits that come with winning the house cup." Arcturus explained, causing a round of whispering from the students.

When the room quieted once more, Arcturus spoke one final time, "I congratulate each and every one of our next generation taking the next step in their lives, and wish you all a fine summer holiday." With that, Arcturus turned and left the room, having accomplished the task Savrin had set up for him.

Honestly, he rather enjoyed the speech, only he wished Slytherin had won. Still, after having read through some of the reports about Snape and his abuse of power, even Arcturus couldn't stand idly by.

 ----------

Snape departed the room before the feast got underway, but his departure only caused three of the four houses to cheer even louder, something which all of the remaining staff took notice of. It seemed Snape's departure from the school had been a big surprise to them, though Savrin remained unphased and the rest of the staff wondered when Savrin had planned all of this.

None of them said anything of course, mostly because though none of them hated Snape, none of them had anything nice to say about him. In their minds, his termination was warranted, and they were glad to know there were consequences to abusing one's station. Hopefully this would make so no one else tried to abuse their power over the school.

Soon enough it was time for the students to go home for the year. Salazar was annoyed that he had to ride the damned train all the way back to London just so they could teleport back to the school, but Savrin insisted they do it.

When they arrived at King's Cross station, Godric noted how happy Harry seemed, and after seeing him meet up with a black-haired man whom he knew to be Sirius Black, he couldn't help but smile as he realized that Harry would no longer be going back to his aunt's and uncles house, and that he might actually start having a happy childhood.

Once they returned to their little treehouse, Salazar pulled Godric aside, and after discussing something in private, the two of them disappeared from the Forbidden Forest entirely. The two of them had to do a bit of digging and eavesdropping, but eventually they found what they were looking for.

In an old shabby house in Diagon Alley, they crept over to spy through the window, and sure enough they saw their target. Transfiguring some barrels into snakes, Salazar commanded them to go through the window into the room. Meanwhile both he and Godric moved to the back of the house where they let themselves in after using a simple charm to unlock the door.

Working in perfect harmony, the two fired spells in unison, paralyzing Snape before he even knew he wasn't alone, then the large snakes Salazar sent in before snapped at Snape's arms before wrapping themselves around him.

After Snape was completely bound, Godric stepped out of the shadows and moved to stand over him, and Salazar followed not long after.

"We've killed people for doing a lot less than some of the things you did, 'Professor'. I hope when you get to hell, you tell Dumbledore I said hey." Godric said, looking rather murderous as he looked into Snape's fear-filled eyes.

"We devoted our lives to protecting the younger generation and giving them a proper start in the world. You used our school to inflict your sick machinations on those under our care. For that, you are hereby sentenced to death. {Kill}." Salazar stated, then ordered his snakes to begin ripping into Snape.

The two of them watched on for a time until the deed was done, then they got rid of the corpse and cleaned up the room, making sure to not leave behind any evidence of someone dying.

With that done, they returned to the Treehouse. It was the beginning of their summer break, and they had every intention of enjoying it.
