Greetings, Mister Principal

Chapter 8: Response from the world

Just as Reiner was asleep to make up for his exhausted spirit, Sharon was a little at a loss facing the two boxes of books placed at the door of the dormitory.

"This is from Mrs. Freya. She said it was given to you by the principal."

Sharon's roommate, Evanna, had beautiful light blonde long hair. Her family was doing publishing business, so she had been dabbled in various anecdotes. However, her family's publishing house did not seem to be doing very well at the moment.

Mrs. Freya in her mouth was like a housekeeper of Luna Nova Magical Academy, responsible for the daily life of the students, the sanitation and cleaning of the campus, and the handling of various chores.

"Mr. Reiner?"

Sharon was a little confused, and immediately squatted down and opened the box.

"Wow"

It was Evanna who exclaimed, but Sharon was surprised and speechless.

The boxes were full of heavy books, basically all about alchemy, as well as academic journals over the years. To borrow these things in the library, one must have at least Professor-level permissions or approval, and they would have to spend a lot of money on a loan. She didn't expect that Reiner would directly send them to Sharon.

In this world, knowledge was everything. Just borrowing books would cost one-third of the study expenses of a mage. The value of these two boxes of books was at least worth Sharon's three-year tuition.

SHe thought that what Reiner said about supporting her in learning alchemy was just a casual talk, but he actually sent the information so quickly.

"My God, Sharon, are you related to the principal?"

Evanna's alchemy scores were mediocre, but she also recognized the well-known academic publications and exclaimed in a low voice.

"Shhh, keep your voice down."

Sharon didn't really want to let others know about Reiner's support for her. It was her rule to act low-key, so she hurriedly asked Evanna to help her to move the box into the bedroom. After closing the door, she let out a sigh of relief.

Today was a rest day, most of the students were still sleeping in bed, and there were only a few people in the corridor.

"You went to the principal's office yesterday to get these things? I thought you were called to be reprimanded."

Evanna was good at observing the tones and expressions of others. When Sharon was called out yesterday, Professor Claire obviously had a serious face. Having that kind of expression, she was most likely called to reprimand, but she didn't expect that she came back safely and got those things today. Such an expensive gift really made Evanna somewhat bewildered.

"Me too..."

Before Sharon had time to explain, she heard a knock on the door and subconsciously got goosebumps.

"It's me, Is Sharon in?"

Claire's voice came from outside the door, which made Sharon finally relax, but she began to wonder again, why was Professor Claire looking for her?

"Yes."

Sharon opened the door and saw Claire who looked a little tired, holding a black and white uniform in one hand and a stack of parchment in the other.

"What's wrong, Professor Claire?"

Instinctively, she still had a trace of fear for the dean. Holding the corner of her clothes with her fingers tightly, she looked at Claire in front of her.

"That guy asked me to give this to you."

Claire handed the parchment paper to Sharon. She didn't say who it was, but from the tone of voice, Sharon knew it must be Reiner.

After taking the parchment, Sharon saw the title on the first page.

"Discussion on Special Gas Produced in Grey Stone Heating Experiment and Research on Several Issues of Traditional Combustion Reaction Theory".

There was no doubt that this was the content of the experiment she did yesterday.

Reiner said that he would write a paper, but...how long has it been?

From last night, it took less than a day to convert Sharon's conjecture into such a thick pile of paper?

"He also said, let you read this paper carefully. If you don't understand something, or if you have any questions, just mark it out. After dinner, you can go to his office. Of course, I will accompany you."

Claire said. Although she didn't like Reiner, she would still complete the task he assigned to her

"O, okay."

Sharon nodded repeatedly, holding the paper in her arms, like a treasure.

"Then I will leave first."

Claire turned around and left. She had always had such a busy image. In the hearts of students, the dean seemed to have no time to relax.

Watching the other party leave, Sharon returned to her room, looking at the paper in her hand somewhat solemnly.

"What is this?"

Evanna leaned over, but after reading the title of the paper with difficulty, she gave up the idea of joining in the fun.

She basically knew each of the words on the paper, but she didn't understand what they meant when they formed a sentence.

Nevertheless, she still noticed the name of the author of the paper under the title.

Reiner Ian Gray, wasn't this the name of the principal who took office recently?

"This was written by the principal? I heard my father say that the third son of Ian Gray's family is a worthless person except for being handsome, and I didn't expect he could write such things."

Evanna was well informed and naturally heard about the Reiner family.

"Well, Evanna, let me take a look first."

Sharon replied, ignoring the opinions of her roommate, sat at the desk, and began to read the paper.

Evanna didn't disrupt Sharon after seeing her serious and focused appearance, quietly left the bedroom, and went to study with the textbook.

With the bright lights, Sharon was completely immersed in this paper.

Although there were not many opportunities to get in touch with the most innovative academic papers, Sharon had read several well-known papers before. She still had a little bit of her own evaluation criteria for the quality of the papers. There was no doubt that this one could be regarded as a good one. A very good one to be exact.

Originally, Sharon thought that the experiment she had made was very simple. There may be a lot of nonsense in the thirty-odd pages of Reiner, but after looking at it, she found that Reiner's language was precise and straightforward, and the key points were clearly described in a few words. And the related content expansion was very comprehensive, almost as soon as Sharon had any questions, Reiner's next text would explain her confusion.

In the discussion about the burning reaction, Reiner's words were even more shocking. They were clearly words that simply describe theories, but in Sharon's eyes, they were like the most exciting and magnificent articles. It made her breathe quickly and her hands tremble slightly.

This girl was sitting at a desk in a corner of Luna Nova Magical Academy at this time, but her thoughts had flown farther away. She saw a blazing fire, and in that flame, a substance shining brightly was guiding the direction for her. When Sharon tried to go deeper, she felt countless stars rising around her, moving along an elegant and regular orbit.

When Sharon's thoughts returned, she only felt that she was sweating all over, but an inexplicable force was surging in her body. This was a magical power that may not be able to accumulate even after several days of meditation. It was produced in her body simply because of reading a paper.

In the past, this happened whenever a mage had a breakthrough in the understanding of the nature of the world, but Sharon couldn't imagine that as a mage apprentice, she would have such a day.

Sharon didn't know what she saw just now, but she felt that a door was opening to herself in the dark.

And it was Reiner who led her to the door
